Jason nice repair man you really save people money with this one sir 👍 One thing I think Honda got the name wrong if you drop the E and replace it with a C that would be more like it just sayin'
The doughnut that you removed looked OK . The new one seam to let the joint close up better. Is there a flex pipe in front of the cat? The cat seem to move a lot . Thanks for taking the time .
Great observation that made GET OUT AND LOOK ; ) I do know the exhaust system is suppose to flex or else you will run into issues down the line. This is the only Element I have worked on, so I just used Mechanical Instinct. I went back underneath and checked the rubber hangers. I did replace the OEM ones with the ONE with the kit. Never know with Quality they could be junk by now and didn't see anything out of place. The gasket I took off shrunk/broke down over time and caused a leak. That is my observation and conclusion. That gasket was hard as a rock and tough to get off.
Hey Jason hope you guy's are doing well.. I need to get under the VW Jetta and replace (1st look and see) a rusty clamp the dealer said need replacing. they quoted $180.. There is no rush the car is not used much waiting a better weather day.. Stay Safe!..
OMG! Chris has a rusty clamp on her exhaust (OG TO 2006) I was tempted to replace it but thought...exhaust has been married together for so long IT IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE. I would verify the clamp first...just cut it out vs trying to remove it and install a new one.
In the beginning of December we decided to pull the trigger on a new to is family style car. 2011 Chevy Equinox. First day in shop no headlights. Now back in the shop for cam sensor and timing chain kit....LoL But the good ol' extended warranty is paying for 90%. But no car for a week.... Later...
@@streetguru6240 exhaust leak and transmission are 2 components and have nothing to do with each other. Do some googling a lot of people have replaced the exterior solenoids with success ONLY USE OEM
yep those cat robbers have 9 lives. I am about to put out a video camera to see driveway. its Pretty bad here also, this kind of stuff goes on more 3rd world countries. Congrats on passing emissions,
Thank you for the video keep them coming❤ I too love my element.

OMG...if the Element was Orange

GEESZUS! The shop you have at it better go through it with a fine tooth comb whiles its covered under warranty! is the Equinox LS based?
They're telling me I need a new trans, is that possible? Maybe I need both 😢

@@pattayperformance correct. I'm hearing the rattle and exhaust rumble, along with hard shifting thumps
@@streetguru6240 rattle could be broken hardware/hangers/bad mount/worn mounts
You need to tackle them separately…
@pattayperformance right! Thanks for your great vid. Very informative.
How many miles do you have on it?
On what?
your Element.
@@paulcampbell8696 I think around 183-186k

Thank you! It really is an accomplishment here in NYS especially with older vehicles. WE ARE VERY GRATEFUL that we have a mechanic who we can trust!
