The weekly reports are great thanks for consistently updating the ones of us that aren't able to get out on the water each week. Tight lines and get that big one
Thank you for your consistency with the reports! I commit to start sending you information so that I'm not just taking from the report, but actually contributing 😅
I didn’t even know about the California Boater Card. Did it today through BoatUS Foundation. Took up much of the day. Saved me from a fine🙂. Thank you for your reports and teaching videos!!!!
Great report Steve! Good info/forewarning about the Boater Card; I've had mine since Nov 2017 when they first started putting out the word on age groups and how much time people had to get them. As soon as it was put out that it was inevitable as a requirement, I studied, took the test and got it done, which was July 2017... it took several months to process and issue it. Funny, after taking the test, I notice more questionable people operating boats and often wonder if they have the Boater's Card... my conclusion is likely not. Great that you're communicating it! Thanx Steve!
Just recently moved to Brentwood and got a boat. These are great updates for people unfamiliar with fishing the dirty d. Much appreciated insight! Would love to get a half day guide!
Finally had some luck on Saturday morning, six in a row off of whopper whopper. Six more after that on a wacky worm black with red flake. Thanks for all your updates. They really helped.
My buddy and I were out last week on the north delta and put about 20 each into the boat, all on bone colored choppos. Some of them didn’t even need it to move before they tried to kill it. Good fishing out there right now!
It was really awesome to meet you yesterday morning Steve. Your weekly reports really help me out. I work out of town and when I come home I check your weekly report to see what's happening out on the delta. Thank you so much for your channel and all you do for us. I hope you caught your big fish you were telling me about ?
Thanks for the report Steve! I’ve had my boat card for 5 years now since I got my boat. Have not been asked yet by fish a game. I’m sure it’s coming tho.
Thanks Steve. Went Saturday off the water bye 11 as it was hot. Senko’s kill all the smaller fish. Got two bigger ones on a spook. And a 3 lb on a punch.
I lost two 5+ pound stripers on jerkbaits a couple days back. Caught lots of bass on lots of different baits. Berkely Choppo got me a few fish. Chatter bait was working. No luck on the spinnerbait or wacky rigged senko weirdly. Lipless crank worked well. Biggest fish for me was a 2 pounder on the jerkbait. Having fun out there.
Hey, Steve. Sounds like fishing has really heated up, no pun. Just returned from ID chasing smallies and yellow perch on Cascade and CJ. Also trout on the rivers now that the water levels have finally receded. Experienced a huge heatwave in north central ID. Don't know how you guys can do it in 100+, I wilted in 95 after a few hours. But as we all know when you start getting those pulls you tend to not noticed the heat as much. Thanks for the report.
Went out again last weekend off paradise point.. SO MANY PLEASURE BOATERS. Really sucked cause I’m on a kayak and half of the boats were wake boats that were sending huge wakes and tearing up the bank and I really feel like it threw the fish off. Still got 5 fish in the boat before the heat really set in
Thanks for the update Steve. Sorry about my last post. Voice command on my text message writes whatever it wants. No I’m not a drinker, can’t believe you waited this long to get your boaters card. When I bought my boat, they wouldn’t let me take it off the lot until I had my card. Thanks. Camoguy
I recently got my boater card and I think it's not necessary for someone who has been in a boat as long as you and I. Some good info in the course but I think it's mostly common sense. Thanks Steve.
Hey Steve, the boat registration card you are talking about is the the registration that stays in the boat or is it something different now, I can’t keep up with all these different new requirements. Like the muscle stickers is it every year you need it? Thx
Hey Mr Steve I’m 14 and I’m in possession of my full boaters license, however I am wondering what that boaters registration card is and how I get one. Great video Steve.
I can give my opinion no problem. Early in the year lot's of the tournaments were won down South, South of tracy. That bite has slowed. The south has lots of solid fish to 7 and 8 pounds. Navagation is dangerous if you don't know the river. The North, Sac river to Liberty has not produced the big winning weights this year. The centeral delta always has some of the true giants, they are just harder to catch. If you're looking for a true giant, over 10, stay centeral. If you're trying to win a tournament, stay out of the North and it will be a game time decision, how well you know the river will depend on if you fish Central or south. Just my opinion. Good luck-let me know how you do.
Thanks once again Steve for your delta report. I look forward to hearing your report every Thursday. Please keep up the good work.
Thanks for the support Larry.

I have been fishing early and late. I have had good fishing but I would guess I would not be doing so well if fishing tournament hours.

What Website did you use for your boaters card?
My iMac is Old….I have to do it on my iPad ??
damn fishing does keep people hella young...over 65??
I would like to ask which section of the river the big fish are usually in now? Is this question OK?
