Dear Katharine, I have been watching your videos for several months, and I want you to know that the way you share your lessons with us feels like an invitation that can't be refused. An irresistible wink.
I tend to rely on what I usually hear, when people talk. I mean, in the USA, I had to try and absorb people's way of speaking. In the UK, had I been there, I would have tried to adopt British ways of speaking. With lessons, like this one, I guess that I would need to spend a lot of time on learning an accent. I don't know how British speakers would perceive my kind of accent. I know that Americans often thought that I was from one of the former British colonies. All I know is that I learned English with the book that the family used. I didn't know, at the time, that there were different kinds of accent, for English speakers. In retrospect, it seems that the book that the family used was for a British accent. What amazes me is that I didn't have any sounds to listen to. I just followed the explanation, in the book, on how to pronounce each word. I only had the book. I didn't have any cassettes (CD's didn't exist, yet). So, how did I get an accent that seemed British? I didn't practice English with anyone, before going to the USA. Unless a lie pinned me down : on the plane, I told the person sitting next to me, a fellow, that I was, first, going to New York, to go, next, to England, to study. And, in New York, I realized that I couldn't get a word that people were saying. And, people couldn't understand me, either. I asked someone : "Where is the lavatory?" The what? Where was I? Lucky for me, it wasn't anything quite urgent. I never found that so-called lavatory. If we go back in time, I'll need more formal English lessons.
it's now night here. I sometimes take a class online after watching your videos. It's good to prepare my mind to Japanese to English. Thank you very much for every week.😃

In reading aloud , can you make a video lesson about "how to make a long sentence more understandable for audience " , for example for children , using more commas in the speech , or a thick melody ,intonation , or whatever is needed , like ; She turned and sped through the trees , towards the house smiling guiltily to herself like a child hugging a secret . would become : She turned , and sped through the trees , towards the house , smiling guiltily to herself , like a child , hugging a secret .
Please make videos on the pronunciation of each vowel and consonant so I can learn. I have seen other videos, but I am waiting for your contributions, which of course will help me learn quickly. You explain subjects beautifully and in such a nice, smooth way. I wish for videos on the pronunciation of each word's sound.
Good example of succulent , and I still remember that word from 10 years ago reading in ... Hemingway's beautiful wrting style " A Moveable Feast " book Quote : " As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away , leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture , and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine , I lost the empty feeling ."

Very interesting. I used a text to voice generator to see how it would sound with both a female British and American voice. The British voice came very close to your modern RP accent and the American voice did stress the same on the adjectives along with pronouncing 'quay' as key.
