@ ok. I apologize. My point was that it’s only going to make some people dig in their heels more. I can see how it might make someone laugh for sure, just don’t think it’s helping to bridge the divide.
Is "Christian Nationalism" in the Bible ? What did Jesus teach his GENUINE disciples with regard to politics ? At John 15, hours before he was executed on a stake at the demand of the Jewish religious leaders (John 19:6,15), Jesus said: "These things I command you, that you love one another (which the world of politics destroys). If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were part of the world (with its divisive, toxic attitudes), the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are NO PART of the world (because of learning to show agape or self-sacrificing love), but I have chosen you OUT of the world, for this reason the world hates you."(John 15:17-19) At John 18, when standing before Pilate, Jesus told him: "My Kingdom is NO PART of this world. If my Kingdom were part of this world (with its divisive, hate-filled politics), my attendants would have fought (as politics teaches to do, "fight for your rights") that I should not be handed over to the Jews. But as it is, my Kingdom is not from this source."(John 18:36) How many who call themselves "Christian" carefully FOLLOW what is stated at Isaiah 2: "In the final part of the days (that began in 1914 C.E., when Jesus was crowned king of God's heavenly Kingdom, Dan 7:13, 14; Rev 6:1, 2), the mountain of the house of Jehovah (or true worship of Jehovah, see Isa 12:2, KJV, to see that Jehovah is God's name) will become firmly established above the top of the mountains (or human political governments that people look to for protection), and it will be raised up above the hills (human institutions the nations look to for strength and support), and to it all the nations will stream." "And many peoples will go and say: “Come, let us go up to the (symbolic) mountain of Jehovah (that represents his sovereignty), to the house of the God of Jacob. He will instruct us about his ways (of genuine peace), and we will walk in his paths (learning what agape love really is).” For law will go out of (symbolic) Zion, and the word of Jehovah out of (symbolic) Jerusalem."(see Gal 4:26; Heb 12:22) "He will render judgment among the nations and set matters straight respecting many peoples (that politics and its wars places a person under Satan's influence, see Rev 13:1-4). They (TRUE Christians) will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning shears. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, nor will they learn war anymore."(Isa 2:2-4) Christian nationalism is exactly what Revelation 17 describes, of "the great prostitute", called Babylon the Great (Rev 17:5), with Christendom (along with the rest of the religions of the world) going to "bed" with the political leaders of the earth, and has them under its influence, that is shown with the "woman" prostitute riding on the back of the United Nations, "the scarlet-colored wild beast" at Revelation 17:3.(see also Rev 17:18, whereby the religions of the world, "has a kingdom OVER the kings of the earth") With the "conversion" of Constantine the Great around 313 C.E., he invited the new "Christian" religion into his fold, giving authority within the political realm. So, Christian nationalism has been around for some 1,700 years, and in which there has never truly been any separation of Church and State, only an optical illusion that it existed. At John 15:19, Jesus told his GENUINE disciples that they were to be "NO PART of the world" with its divisive and toxic politics, but which the churches Christendom have ignored and thus must suffer destruction at the hands of the political elements in the near future, as shown at Revelation 17:16, 17. So, there is NO "Christian nationalism" that is TRUE Christianity, but rather there is counterfeit Christianity that is "part and parcel" with the world of politics.
I know this will probably come across as cynical, but I need to ask: Do you guys actually ever talk about God's plan of salvation and the Bible in any episodes, or do you choose to focus solely on what you perceive as social justice issues? Just kind of curious.
