Interesting film. The privatisation of the water authorities in 1989 was a national scandal. We are paying the price now, after 30 odd years of private companies making vast profits out of a scarce and vital resource that is essential to all life. They have been allowing raw sewage to pour into waterways all over the country, while the publicly funded (and chronically underfunded) Environment Agency has to try to clear up the mess. It has to change. Windfall taxes would be one way, with the money going towards clean up operations and pollution prevention.
