I haven't looked into wiring an ATV voltage regulator yet. But WOW, much simpler than I would've guessed! Thanks Harvey for sharing some more of your knowledge!!
Im hoping you can help me. I just bought an Electrosport stator for my wife's Honda XR100. 3 wires come off the stator. 2 plug directly to the original ignition harness and it has an additional yellow wire with a double barrel bullet connector for lights. My regulator rectifyer has 4 wires green, pink, yellow and red . Does the ground from the RR hook to the frame AND battery or just to the battery? I can't seem to figure out how to wire this. I've hooked green to battery negative, red to battery positive, yellow to the new yellow off my stator but where does the pink wire connect? And why the double barrel connector on the yellow wire off the stator? I'm using led lights if that matters. You seem very smart with electrical so I'm sure this would be a breeze for you lol I'm struggling.
A bit more understanding of the electricity that lets those gas engines run, thanks Harvey. After thinning out my herd last year and limiting myself to only enough machines that will be enclosed by nightfall, I'm doing well in that department. More tires ordered, so I'm building more racks. Snowmobiles coming in like crazy and side by sides are coming from every direction, I guess not many shops work on these on a regular basis. The loading dock, shop truck and trailer, and the portable ramps are getting a workout. It goes from ghost town to Grand Central Station in a matter of minutes, fantastic! Looking forward to the next lesson, be safe.
Thanks harvey you make wiring easy n not as frighting as most of us feel, enjoy ur winter not as much work can be done till spring.ever thought on showing the use,s and use of a multi-meter i mean the actuall settings that would be used on an atv or car.yes im intimated and confused what settings work for what?snookie pa.💥🤟💥
Thanks for this. I was looking at regulators on ebay, because I want to put one on my ATC200S to avoid bulb failures. I was wondering how they work. Good to know they rectify also. I saw some AC voltage regulators which have only two wires, so I assume they just connect in parallel to everything else, but it would be nice to have some information in the item description to ease my confusion.
Hey Harvey was wondering if you could make a video of replacing the rear axle bearings on the Honda atcs ive done it a couple times but Ide like to see how a professional does it because my method is not the best
Could u show more details about mechanical ignition advanced on on a honda atc , my 185s wont start no matter how much u pull , when it does start after about 208 pulls it wont idle and pops and also in your old vid about it u said u could pull forever it wont start and it pulls back (freezes) sometimes, mine does the same thing and i wanna know if i need to buy a whole new part or just springs
