You need measure continuity in DIODE test mode, not in RESISTANCE mode (in multimeter setting)!

Where is diode test mode on a multimeter?

      OK,.... so that is continuity.

@@Spitfireseven simple - its marked as diode symbol (near 2000 Ohm in your DMM)

There is always a refinement of the process. All in all you did the best job I have seen here of testing the four pin. Nobody else comes close. YOU DID A GREAT JOB! Incidently, I got a test reading on everything of infinity in the Two K mode. In continuity mode I got 1250 ohms on +c -A and 1911 ohms +b-d. On reverse polarity on c/a it would read intermittantly. Sometimes the 1250 number sometimes infinity. I wonder what that means?

I think you need your meter set on the diode test . The one that looks like a arrow going through a board.

I realize more and more that youtube excitement to post is an actual thing. If you have experience with stuff you will know its not a good idea to teach right after learning something.........good effort and well put together video.

Are you supposed to have 0 resistance or infinity for all 6 tests ?

im soooo confused and yet my lights dont work but my engine runs .. 125s honda.. mine is blk /red/green .. in a 4 pin connector... and 2 other wires in a bullet connector seperate.. they pink and yellow.... idk if its rectifier or 2 phase or 3 phase idk.. thinks mine is regulator - mine is 6 volt and stator has 4 coils - 1 the coils is wrapped paper so is a/c for the spark.. im unplugged the head light and run light works... i bought battery- but wont run win its plugged in -so i keep fuse out! this my daily driver.. as my 5 -broken vehicles not able fix.. im old school mech on cars.. im cant afford both rect/ and stator.. i need know which 1 is bad! any help is apreciated .

@quadruple treble 1888 yeah the rectifier is there to control the voltage from going to high recommend changing right away

My 2017 yz450f regulator rectifier has 2 wires coming out of it a red and black one, no matter what ohm setting i put the multimeter on it shows “0L “ but on the other wires that it plugs into “the stator connnection it shows a reading on the “20 ohm” setting.
does that means that could be the cause of my NO SPARK situation , keep in mind this bike doesnt have a battery
