I was married one year (1977) before this was released in 1978! This would have been one of my wedding songs. Love, love, love the Bee Gees. I am a black female, 67 yrs old, grew up with them. (A bit lengthy, but a must read.) The Bees Gees: (from left to right) Robin, Barry and Maurice (pronounced Morris) Robin (Dec 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012) passed away as a result of kidney failure. Maurice (Dec 22, 1949 - Jan. 12, 2003.) Passed as a result of a twisted intestine. He was in the hospital for 2 days. Barry said he had a heart attack, but the doctors still operated. He left behind his wife, Yvonne and two children. Maurice and Robin were fraternal twins. Andy Gibb, the youngest brother, had his own successful career. He was 12 yrs younger than Barry. He and Barry looked so much alike, that they could had been twins. Andy passed away in 1988, at the age of 30. Barry stated that Andy lived the 'LA lifestyle' involving drugs, and he had heart problems. The brothers wrote all of his songs. Barry Gibb (middle) stated, "I am the last man standing." He was born September 1, 1946. He has 5 adult children and 7 grandkids. On September 1, 2022, he and his wife Linda celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary. I don't know if you know this they have only recorded their own music and written for music for celine, barbara dolly and kenny rogers and so much more. THe biggest fact is that not one of them can read or write music. They had such a unique way of writing the music and vocals. Maurice in my opinion was the most talented of the brothers. He does not sing many leads but he does all the instrumentals on all of the songs. When they reunited back in 69 (I believe) they wrote their first two number one hits in one afternoon. Lonely Days and HOw to mend a broken heart. They wrote a song for Otis Redding that he was never able to perform because he died before singing it. So they sang it and its amazing. Black music was a powerful influence in their music Please keep checking them out and go deep not just Saturday night fever. They also have a brother Andy who had his first 3 hits go to number one. You know one of the biggest but most subtle thing about this that rakes you in? You can be bobbing your head to it, keeping the same tempo through the whole song ~~ then that vibrato that falls like at certain points ~~~> pulls you back and slows you to have to pay attention. The contrast. The background pulse stays the same. That’s on purpose. The reason it’s not obvious is because his falsetto blows people away. (The falsetto is not what is melting the panties off of people. It’s the slowing you and pulling you back at particular points to make sure you have their attention. The song Too Much Heaven is from the Bee Gee's live performance at The Music for UNICEF Concert: A Gift of Song. It was a benefit concert of popular music held in the United Nations General Assembly in New York City on January 9, 1979. It was intended to raise money for UNICEF world hunger programs and to mark the beginning of the International Year of the Child. The concert was videotaped and broadcast the following day on NBC in the U.S. and around the world. The Bee Gees gave UNICEF rights to all royalties from the song. It's raised about $13 Million for UNICEF thus far.

Imagine you’re an Alien. You park your UFO and duck into the first open door you see. It’s this studio with The Bee Gees & orchestra doing this song. I would run full speed back to my UFO & get the Hell out of here knowing Humans are far beyond what we were told.
Beautiful song. One of my favorites. Barry's voice is unbelievable. What they 1st started singing, Robin sang most of the lead vocals. Barry didn't become the lead til later, around the 70s. One of producers or someone like that heard Barry's falsetto for the 1st time. Robin had left the band for awhile but eventually came back. They wrote songs for so many other artists including their brother Andy. If you want to hear something more upbeat react to Night Fever or Tragedy

I don't know if you know this they have only recorded their own music and written for music for celine, barbara dolly and kenny rogers and so much more. THe biggest fact is that not one of them can read or write music. They had such a unique way of writing the music and vocals. Maurice in my opinion was the most talented of the brothers. He does not sing many leads but he does all the instrumentals on all of the songs. When they reunited back in 69 (I believe) they wrote their first two number one hits in one afternoon. Lonely Days and HOw to mend a broken heart. They wrote a song for Otis Redding that he was never able to perform because he died before singing it. So they sang it and its amazing. Black music was a powerful influence in their music Please keep checking them out and go deep not just Saturday night fever. They also have a brother Andy who had his first 3 hits go to number one. Of course written by his famous brothers.

You know one of the biggest but most subtle thing about this that rakes you in? You can be bobbing your head to it, keeping the same tempo through the whole song ~~ then that vibrato that falls like at certain points ~~~> pulls you back and slows you to have to pay attention. The contrast. The background pulse stays the same. That’s on purpose.
The reason it’s not obvious is because his falsetto blows people away. (The falsetto is not what is melting the panties off of people. It’s the slowing you and pulling you back at particular points to make sure you have their attention. That applies to the bedroom too btw. Lesson children! Learn it, live it, know it. You’re welcome.) Every time I watch someone listen to this for the first time i get more out of it. Thank you!
