Nice bit of lightening going on there - no roof lining, no front plastic valance. And you have resisted the temptation to add heavy duty front and rear bumpers (emphasis on heavy.....) I'm trying to lighten my '96 V8 as much as possible here in the UK and considered junking the rear seats. But now I see a perfect use for them - a vantage point from which to contemplate my many failures. Love it.
I learned the hard way what wheeling all day in deep snow does to your swivel ball seals - Eventually the snow compresses into hard ice which then dents in your seals - Fun!! Rockware use to make swivel ball seal guards, but not sure if they still do?
chains are not suitable for driving in deep snow. The pressure must be reduced to at least 0.5 bar. The MT tire is also not well suited for snow, a winter tire is better.
Yeah, I figured that out this day, haha. I normally air down to around 10 psi in the snow. I was at about 15 psi with the chains on. The chains definitely helped me get up TO the deep snow, but they just cause me to dig into it when it got really deep.

I did like the simplicity of the truck back then, but now it has a roof rack, and a steel front bumper with a winch.
The best suv for offroad ❤
Just found your channel. Can't wait to see more content, great work!!
Thanks! I'm hoping to get out a lot more once the weather gets a little nicer. The Disco loves rain and snow, but my camera and drone do not...
what a stunning discovery you have nice and simple as they should be
Awesome cruise. I miss my Disco 🥲
It’s never too late to get another one.
So cool!!! The shot with the white trees on one side and snow trees on the other was killer.
Thanks! The drone has been a fun addition.
Nice disco
Such a clean disco 🤙🏻
Thanks. It’s a good 20 footer, I’d say. Lots of battle scars. But for a 25-year-old 4x4, I’m not complaining.

Interesting you mention that because I need to do my swivel ball seal as one is dented in from the outside. Probably from this video. Whoops.
If you only had one set of snow chains for the disco would you lock the div in low range and put them on the rear tires. Cheers
That’s probably what I’d do, yeah.
So rad! I was wondering who took that badboy line near Connor’s Camp 😂
So many good places to get stuck immediately!
Great video! Tire and rim size?
Thanks. Tires are 255/85r16. Wheels are 16x7 with 0mm offset.
@@tfrasca thank you for the response.
Nice video!
Thanks!
Try light left foot braking when you get stuck when either front or rear wheels are spinning..
Yeah, I tried that to no avail.
The music u have goin on in background doesn't suit but u have a Dam fine disco lad keep her lit
Haha, ok. Thanks.

And you didn't scare the wife this time!
Haha, yeah she stayed home for this outing.
wheat happened to your center locker? (based on vid description)
Oh, the center locker works fine. But having front and/or rear diff lockers would help a lot in situations like this, and I don’t have them.
@@tfrasca gotcha just making sure, that's good. so we're you locked for most of the snow driving with chains? and hi or lo?
@@erikanson6257 yeah, the center diff was locked as soon as I chained up, and I was in low range for probably 90% of it.
Как игрушка!!
What mountain is that?
Marys Peak

@@tfrasca Discovery great car for traveling! I also love to travel in my Discovery 4.
