Purdue really needs to tighten up the defense around the hoop. Way too many easy buckets given up. Edey needs to improve his footwork on the defensive end.
Purdue can’t afford edey to be overly aggressive on defense. Has to be selective. We need him on the court. So avoiding foul trouble is crucial. I’d rather give up a few extra layups than have him on the bench in foul trouble
Edey must improve his defense if he’s gonna last in the nba. his drop coverage is non existent and nba players will poke jumpers on him all day. He’s going to be a solid piece for a contender off the bench if he drops in the draft. Future starting center in the nba i hope . Kid is a beast end of the day
You realize that’s mostly because he’s so valuable to this team. We don’t want him moving too much defensively and getting into foul trouble. In the NBA he won’t be nearly as valuable so more defensive movement will be encouraged.

Edey has very little defensive presence.
What a silly thing to say. Go watch the full game and see how he affects offenses. So often, guards can beat their defender, have a path to the basket, but then see Edey standing around nearby and totally abort the play, pass it out and reset. His whole game on defense is his presence
No doubt, the standings are a joke. UConn moved up to #2 while Purdue won and still dropped in the standings. I took Purdue to win it all this year in "futures" bet. As long as the refs do not call the All American for chippy fouls. I am kind of glad that refs consider verticality, a little, thank you NBA. Purdue should do well against most teams.
Amazing that a team completes a 3-game losing streak March 2nd and according to national pundits it has no effect on their tourney bid. Why even play the games? Is giving out auto bids really helping the Big Ten? Look at their performance the past few yrs.

Uh, IMHO, I disagree. Anything can happen in the tournament. I have to admit. Shed is a fantastic point guard, maybe the best but Purdue has excellent teamwork. No jealousy. They just win. Remember what Rudy Tomjanovich said, "Our post up (Hakeem)/spot up (Kenny Smith and Mario Ellie) game is hard to beat."
