Freddie Mercury, 1946-1991, actually approved his song Bohemian Rhapsody to be used in the film, after he saw the original test screening, one week before he died of AIDS at age 45.
RIP Freddie, such a talent ⭐️
I'm gonna have to call bs on that one
@@Beardo2517 Did you do any research or just decide you're smart enough to deduce this on your own?
One last gift to the world.
@@kmvoss He IS Freddy Mercury, obviously.
Alice Cooper is 100% real and has been around since the 70s.
The brewery parody was the intro to the tv show, Laverne and Shirley which was actually a Happy Days spinoff.
.. and is a very great guy in real life. You forgot that fact about Cooper.
I'm seeing Alice Cooper preform in Reno next month with Rob Zombie haha. My dad met him a few times and raved about what a well spoken, kind, and respectful gentleman he was. He hung out with fans like they were best friends. My dad said no matter what the subject was, Alice Cooper could write a dissertation about it.
Yup
And "is there like... a beer factory in Milwaukee"? 🤣
Not any good ones.
The line where Garth says, "Did you ever find Bugs Bunny attractive when he dressed in girl clothes?" was completely improvised and the laugh from Mike Myers was genuine. 🤣
one of the funniest lines in the movie
"They got Al Bundy in this?!"
I love every time Ed O'Neil shows up and that he can also talk to the camera like Wayne and Garth. Every macabre little moment he has is better than the last 🤣🤣🤣
Ed O'Neal is a 4th degree black belt in the style Bruce Lee tought, Keanu Reeves and jason mamoa are only a 1st degree black belt in what ever style they use so ed could beat the crap out of both them together
🎉
Speaking of which, he should react to Dutch!
@@PsychTsunamiMkII fireworks are illegal in Illinois. But this is Tennessee! I've been to that firework super store
@@Raven5150Wait really? Damn. Ed really is the Anti-Steven Segall.
Alice Cooper is a real performer who is still actively doing shows to this day. Alice Cooper is the stage name of Vincent Furnier. He is a pioneer in "shock rock" and incorporates "horror movie" themes into his stage shows. He's famously known for the song "School's Out For Summer" and "I'm 18" among others.
"Poison" is one of my all time favourits since childhood, when my big sister used to listen to it.
"He's Back (The Man Behind the Mask)", part of the Friday the 13th 6 - Jason Lives soundtrack!
He is also in a band called Hollywood Vampires, a supergroup featuring Joe Perry from Aerosmith and the one and only Johnny Depp.
@@RareHarmony Yes, I've heard of them, but have never heard or seen them perform as Hollywood Vampires.
@JoeBobPerdue Cooper is also very antiTrans and shockingly conservative.
24:55 -- Alice still gets "We're not worthy!!" every time he walks through an airport..........from dozens of people at once.
I saw him in concert about ten years ago. Indeed, we are still not worthy.
@@NoActuallyGo-KCUF-Yourself Nice. I saw him on the comeback tours in 86 and 87, but not since. Frowny face.
When MTV broadcast his annual live show from Detroit on Halloween in 1986, you better believe I set that muddafuggin VCR. And I'd show people the cool makeup and prop shit he had.
Yes, she did all her own singing in the movie. She is a trained singer.
She released some albums
This is an infinitely quotable movie. I was in middle school when it came out. I can not overstate how big of a movie this was for a group of 13-14 year olds.
You are right on with the age range. I even had a schwing t-shirt.
Game on!
Yeah, this movie was huge in theaters. Personally, I was lucky to actively seek out Stairway to Heaven at 14 because of this. I’ll be forever grateful.
I still think Robert Patrick's cameo as the T-1000 Terminator is *THE* funniest single moment in the film :)
"Is she really singing this, or is it somebody else." Funny enough, despite me having a crush on Tia Carrere as a kid, largely due to this movie, I had always assumed the singing had been dubbed in. I only recently found out that, not only is she a talented singer, but she even has two Grammy awards under her belt. No idea how I missed out on that fact over the last 30 years, but there you go.
Finally a reactor who gets the Grey Poupon skit!
Exactly! It was nice to see someone understand the joke....
The beer bottling line and song that accompanied the scene pay homage to the television series "Lavern and Shirley" (1976-1983) starring Penny Marshal and Cindy Williams in the title roles as well as a young Michael McKean in a recurring role. It was a spin-off of "Happy Days" (1974-1984).
"Benjamin is nobody's friend. If Benjamin were an ice cream flavor, he'd be pralines and dick."
Fun Fact: Dana Carvey is an accomplished drummer and did his own drum-playing for the music shop scene.
Career Saver Fact: Rob Lowe has said he discovered his "hitherto untapped gift for comedy" during this movie. The film is credited with reviving his career following a sex-tape scandal.
What Script Fact: The scene with Wayne (Mike Myers) and Garth (Dana Carvey) talking on the hood of their car at the airport was the last scene filmed. Since everyone was tired and just wanted the movie done, they ad-libbed it.
Historical Fact: Alice Cooper came to the set under the impression that he would be performing musically for the film, with one line. Upon arrival, he was surprised to be handed an entire monologue to memorize and shoot with a small amount of time to do so. However, Cooper is known to be a history buff outside of his music career and quickly knew his stuff. Everything he says is technically, if comedically delivered, true.
Music Enthusiast Fact: Bohemian Rhapsody (1975) by Queen was almost not in the film. Neither Paramount nor the film's producer, Lorne Michaels, wanted it in the movie. Paramount didn't want to use the song because the rights were too expensive. Lorne Michaels didn't want to use the song either because it was almost 20 years old at that point, and instead suggested a Guns N' Roses track (because they were more current). Mike Myers fought for the inclusion of the Queen song. Myers even threatened to quit the production if he didn't get what he wanted, and eventually the studio gave in to his demand. Because of the inclusion in this movie, the single rocketed to the number two hit on the Billboard's Hot 100 overnight.

The sequel is a lot of fun too. Another good Michael Meyers flick is So I Married and Axe Murderer.
Mike Meyers. Michael Myers is a serial killer from Halloween.
@@3DJapan Maybe Waynes World Bummer Ending is a prequel...
@@3DJapanRegardless of that fact, it's also fact that Mike and Michael are essentially the same name. I think we can deduce who they're talking about.
I hate sounding like a nerd. But man. You make the most genuine reaction videos. I home you have the best life you can possibly live. Good on ya mate
I home so too!
The co pilots are the best :)
Let me just say that I appreciated YOUR appreciation of the Bohemian Rhapsody scene 😁 An all time classic!
Alice Cooper and his band have been around forever and they are still touring. They put on quite a stage production at the live shows.
I definitely think you'd like them JL. Be My Frankenstein is the song in this movie. I also think you'll like their songs Poisen, 18, and Brutal Planet, among others. Their most mainstream songs are Welcome To My Nightmare and School's Out.
P.S. that was a Laverne & Shirley reference at the beer factory. (Milwaukee 🤷♂️🤦♂️)
A minor correction: the song used in this movie is “Feed My Frankenstein”
FUN FACT:
So, for years when Wayne is in the music store and plays “Stairway to Heaven,”when he played, you always heard the nonsensical dissonant chord played here.”
For many years, It was always that way.
Recently I purchased the new 4K upgraded version and it actually plays the real Stairway to Heaven opening chord.
I guess they finally worked out the permissions.
It’s back to it’s originally intended version.
Also pretty crazy when I realized that Bob Odenkirk is in Wayne’s W🌎rld 2.
Great reaction as always, homie!
The part you didn't recognize 23:03 (cut scene in the beer bottling factory) was a remake of the introduction song of the TV comedy show Laverne & Shirley from mid 70s to early 80s. It was a spin off from the Happy Days TV show. Both shows were extremely popular back then. And yes, it does suck being old. LOL
Glad I'm not the only one to know what that scene was. Lol
Saw this as a freshmen when it came out. Awesome movie that still stands the test of time. I couldnt believe dude didn't know who Alice Cooper is though. He puts on one hell of a show for sure
Not Jay's kinda music I guess.
This movie came out the year I graduated from high school and everyone was quoting from it and head banging to Bohemian Rhapsody in the car. It was so much fun and such a huge deal! Everyone back then knew all the references: Laverne & Shirley, Alice Cooper, the Pepsi and Pizza Hut ads, etc. "No Stairway?!?! Denied!"
Alice Cooper is a legend. I'm shocked that you never heard of this band. I enjoy your content and reactions.
i haven't seen this movie in YEARS, thank you! and omg i just remembered when the scene came up - wayne's world is pretty much the reason why bohemian rhapsody became big again. edit: yes, alice cooper is a real singer (just him, not a band) and it was a cameo he did. and the beer factory was a recreation of the opening for the tv show laverne and shirley.
After watching Mike Myers' mullet through this whole movie, I'm reminded of the best red-neck mullet of all time. Have your reacted to Joe Dirt (2001) starring David Spade? That is a must see cult classic. Joe is truly a memorable character.
It puts Joe Dirt in the hole.
The thing they did before the concert is the theme for Laverne & Shirley, a sitcom from 1976.
Interesting note - Dana Carvey’s first credited role was in Halloween 2, which you watched a couple of weeks ago. He was the assistant wearing the blue hat to the reporter lady.
"Hey, what's that over there... Whooooa..."
haha
My Daughter immitates Garth's 'foxy' all the time. I die each time
Cassandra: Could you be any more insulting?
Wayne (in a very matter of fact tone): Yeah.
I saw Alice on his "Welcome To My Nightmare" tour way back in the 70's...great show complete with guillotine, giant spiders🕸🕷 & a ballerina (whom he married).
It was like the best Halloween ever..even though it was March.🎃
Alice, real name Vincent Fournier, by all accounts is a great guy. Smart, down-to-earth, Golf fanatic, devout Christian, helps charities & has a great story about when he got to meet Elvis.
Which reminds me...that same year I saw Alice in person I also saw Led Zeppelin & Elvis. It was a very good year for concerts!
💙☮💙☮💙☮💙☮💙☮💙
Oh, & JL..Zeppelin's "Stairway To Heaven" & Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" are widely considered the two most famous & beloved songs in Rock history. Party on.💙💫
We all learned platonic love CAN exist between two grown men.
Who didn’t want a licorice dispenser in their car after seeing this movie??
Not a huge fan of licorice, but some other kind of candy dispensor built into my car definitely.
Ali Spagnola on RUclips made one for her car. ruclips.net/video/6Y5Ni5sMimA/видео.htmlsi=okv9WJnhzEl8TNif
I still do!
"Hey Mr Donut Head Man, who's tryna kill you?" "I don't know but they better not..."
'He sounds like a young Keanu...' Yep, there's a reason for that. Mike Myers created the 'Wayne Campbell' character before SNL. He originally debuted on Canadian television and was Myers' take on the kind of people he grew up with. It's basically a parody of Canadian suburban teens and young adults in the 80s. Keanu Reeves and Mike Myers are more or less the same age and grew up in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area). If you wanna see two blasts from the past, look up "It's Only Rock'N'Roll Wayne Campbell" to see the original Canadian Wayne (...yeah, he was originally from Ontario, not Illinois), or "Keanu Reeves Teddy Bears" to see a very early 20s Keanu Reeves in his roll as a junior reporter for CBC. Some before they were famous stuff.
Very much in the vein of Bill and Ted, but Wayne and Garth are more functionally competent, rather than mostly just extraordinarily lucky.
This is awesome, fun reaction too! That T-1000 cameo was funny, one of the best cameos. I would also recommend the movie AIRHEADS with Brendan Fraiser, Adam Sandler and Steve Buscemi.
"Bless this child's heart... Her neck is strong!"
That's supermodel Lara Flynn Boyle as Stacy. Definitely on the high end of the crazy/hot sliding scale 😅
Garth's Dream Woman is Dan Aykroyd's wife Donna Dixon.
My folks had an AMC Pacer around 1979. It was fun to be in the backseat, like a fishbowl. It got wrecked in a weird way. We were crossing a 4-lane bridge that was about 500 feet long. Down a ways and coming in our direction was a truck with an empty boat trailer. It came loose for some reason and started bouncing around the bridge like a pinball. It missed every car, but us! It poked the bubble window by me, which shattered into a zillion pieces.
I love this movie. I was a teenager when it came out and I watched them on SNL beforehand. Alice Cooper is the original shock rocker back in the day. He's legend in the hard rock and metal scene. I guess back back in the day. Because now, back in the day is me owning this movie on VHS and the soundtrack on cassette tape. This is one of the great 90s movie soundtracks along with The Crow soundtrack and a few others. This movie takes me back. It's aged pretty well. Love how meta it can be but embraces many forms of comedy. It's smart but silly. Sometimes you don't always laugh out loud but it makes you smile. Sometimes that can be just as effective. And lord did I have a crush on Tia when this came out. I'm sure she was a crush for a generation that watched this movie. Now you gotta watch part 2 soon. It's just as good if not better. Acts like Bill snd Ted and Beavis and Butthead were inspired by Wayne's World. Some of the SNL stuff is still hilarious like the Madonna skit. And the other Michael Myers movie you should see is So I Married an Axe Murderer. And also thank you, I'm going through a tough time right now and this video brought a smile to my face. Thanks to everyone on team EOM,
Mike Meyers is a Canadian treasure. For some context, he based the SNL skit of Wayne's World on Canadian cable public access tv shows. Some of these shows would sometimes gain cult followings in the cities in which they aired. Comedian/Actor Tom Green started out on public access in Toronto before appearing on his own show on MTV. You can tell Mike Myers has real affection for those often corny cable access shows, as most Canadians who grew up with them do.
I was a massive fan of Wayne's World on SNL, and that time period was one of the funniest in the show's entire history. I remember seeing the movie, when I was 13 with my dear old mom (who loved the skit). Wayne's World will always have a place in my heart. Party on!!!!
WW 2 is actually one of the rare sequels that is better than the original. It is basically the same story, but on a bigger scale.
And they got David Hong for Cassandra's father!
Ngl, I've read your comment as if WW stands for World War
"And each end of stage will be stationed with fully armed machine-gun nests. Each one of you will be provided with a cyanide capsule, which in the event of being overrun, you bite down on, like so . . . (casually eats cyanide capsule) . . . Now, do you have any questions?"
@@SiahRainmakerMe, too. I was like, "What the heck?"
And then it hit me. I laughed when I saw you were confused for a second, too.

We used to call our big hoop earrings like that "ankle holders" 😂😂😂
Makes me think of the ankle bracelet joke in _The Naked Gun._ 😄
@@0okamino 🤣🤣🤣
So many people tried to explain but didn’t give you 100%. The beer bottling scene is from Lavern & Shirley as many have pointed out but the missing part is why. The connection is that the guys were in Milwaukee and Lavern & Shirley is set in Milwaukee. Side note Stan Makita’s donuts is a nod to Tim Horton’s donuts in Canada where Myers is from. Both Stan and Tim were hockey players.
The level of 90's this movie epitomizes is just...EPIC!?! Like, who didn't "Excuse me...do you have any Grey Poupon?" to nice cars when it looked like they were being chauffeured around?! I thought it was part of life. EVERYONE kinda did it or attempted it or wanted to do it but were too scared to do it. All of that.
You don't know Alice Cooper JL?! Schools Out, Hey Stoopid, Muscle of Love, Under My Wheels... He's got a ton of great songs from the 70s-90s. Really cool dude by all accounts too.
you forgot Welcome to my Nightmare.
You’re damn right Al Bundy scored 4 touchdowns in a single game at Polk High. A true sports legend
I watch some reaction channels. Yours since a year or so.
I've never posted a comment. I really enjoy your Detroit and "shut up" tags but what I really want you to know is that THIS thumbnail is "Thumbnail of the year" for me.
Thanks for all the laughs and keep being excellent ;)

4:35 -- that's how Queen reached a new generation, and their kids.
Dana Carvey is really playing the drums. He's a awesome drummer. Love him❤
Seeing Dana Carvey in this movie reminded me of one of my all time favorite movies. "MOVING" starring Richard Pryor. I don't think it was very popular but damn, it's one of my all time favorites. Highly Recommend.
"We're taking it with us!"😂
Alice Cooper is a rock god, but i have to say i know him more from this movie and his restaurant in downtown Phoenix (Alice Cooper's Town) which closed recently than i do for his music. His restaurant had a 2 foot long hot dog named after Randy Johnson called The Big Unit and theyd ring a bell anytime theyd bring it to someones table
"Raise the bridge, file the nut and take the buzz out the low E"
You wouldn't know it needed any of that until you played it first.
Alice Cooper isn't a band he's a performer and he's very real, he's been around since the 70's. He's known for starting his shows by performinging stage magic tricks (illusions) in which he kills himself and then comes back to life.
Scooby Doo ending😅
The blue outfit and beer conveyor belt scene referenced Laverne and Shirley, which was a very popular sitcom from back in the day. They crossed over with Happy days sometimes. Good stuff.
Alice Cooper is most definitely a real band.
I saw them in concert twice, and they put on an incredible show.
This movie is a classic comedy, even if you're not that into Rock N Roll music. I grew up on old school SNL. Great reaction bro! 👍🏿
I'm calling it - al caught peggy and marcy together, beat them to death with a shoe, went on a rampage at the shoe store and then fled to aurora under a new identity to open a donut shop
Friggin' LOVE the Macho Man shirt! Also, sad (and sorry) that I missed out on this one live as it happened. Friday is one of my work-days, it happens. Now, onto the video! I.... typed all this before the move even started.
Alice Cooper more recent years is one of the Hollywood Vampire band which includes Johnny Depp, Joe Perry from Aerosmith & manyyyyy other amazing musicians.
On one of their SNL skits Aerosmith plays their show and Tom Hanks is their roadie. It's hilarious😂
Dude I love your reactions!!! I can be having a shit day and I watch your channel and it cheers me up. You’re one of those people that you can watch a movie with and because of your laughter it makes you laugh more and makes the movie better. Keep these coming man. Peace and love from Boston.
garth drilling the car was funniest bit "we better go now"
Yes, Tia Carrere was really singing those songs. She was in a few huge movies, and had a modest music career too.
One of the first things I was taught when I was first learning the guitar was a list of riffs *NOT* to play if you are going into a guitar shop to try and/or buy an instrument. The poor chaps working there really really don't want to hear the same dozen or so classic tracks ruined by teenage boys every day of their working lives.
When I was 8 I had the VHS of this and must have rewound the multiple ending parts about a million times
Delawarean here! There's not a lot to do in Delaware (besides our beautiful sandy beaches), but we're super close to the major East coast cities. Philly is 30 minutes away, Baltimore is 1.5 hrs, DC is 2.5 hrs, and NYC is 2hrs. That centralized location is why Thomas Jefferson named it "The Diamond State".
30:42 - most honest reaction I've ever seen on RUclips
18:50 No Stairway "Is that a popular song". Babe, you took years away from my life saying that.
I first watched this roughly 10 years ago, after years of wanting to see it. I love it and the sequel so much.
I had them on DVD, and I used to watch it a lot when I was tired and going to sleep. I rarely ever went to sleep during movies or left them on during their DVD menu screen, but I often did with these movies. The DVD menu screen was just like a channel guide on a satellite TV service. It played random scenes.
The 90's were great.
"Stan Mikita's Donuts" is a parody of Canada's famous Tim Horton's Donuts chain (Mike Myers wanted this because his Canadian roots are strong). Both men were NHL hockey players in the 1960s and 1970s.
The opening theme for Laverne and Shirley was playing while the were in Milwaukee with the bottles. They were doing the same stuff that Laverne and Shirley did... lol
Some underrated jokes:
The cafe “Mikita’s” is named after Stan Mikita. A legendary pro hockey player for the Chicago Blackhawks.
And the cop being named Officer Koharski is reference to an NHL referee (when this movie came out) Don Koharski.
Cops are kinda life referees, etc
Mike Myers is Canadian & a big hockey hockey fan.
Stairway To Heaven was like the first thing everyone learned to play on the guitar from the 70s to 90s. It was THE Led Zeppelin song. Kind of like the "And here's Wonder Wall" meme of the time.
I still like this and the second Wayne's World better than the Austin Powers movies because there's something more kind and nostalgic there. Also it's very metalhead culture, so there's a familiarity.
In a similar vein, if you haven't watched Airheads, you might enjoy that too
I love your reactions! Been subscribed for a while now. One of my favorite youtubers. I'll give a thanks donation to show my appreciation
Laverne and Shirley! The bottle scene 😂
Alice Cooper has been around since the 70's!! He was Marilyn Manson way before Marilyn Manson!
Wayne's World: RUclips content creators way before RUclips was even invented. That is quite the accomplishment.
It's a very 90s comedy movie. It's great you enjoyed it as much as you did! It shows how well written and directed the movie was!
Fun Facts about the Bohemian Rhapsody scene:
1: When the camera was showing Garth poorly lip singing to the song it was authentic. Dana Carvey didn't know the lyrics to the song.
2: because they took a few takes doing that scene the actors necks and heads was hurting and the expressions on their faces and the very short head banging was due to their heads and neck hurting from the multiple takes of the scene.
3: Freddie Mercury from Queen actually gave Mike Myers permission to use Bohemian Rhapsody in the movie Wayne's World. Freddie Mercury was dying of Aids and they showed him the scene where they was jamming out in the car to Bohemian Rhapsody and he loved it. Freddie Mercury died about 3 months before Wayne's World was released and because of the movie Bohemian Rhapsody jumped to #2 on the top 100 Billboards. Queens band members thanked Mike Myers for having the song put in the film.
I bout s*** myself when I saw the T-1000 cameo. 😂
The picture he's holding up is actually of Edward Furlong too
Wayne's World was originally a recurring sketch on Saturday Night Live. This was the second movie to be adapted from an SNL sketch (Blues Brothers was the first).
Man your patrons be having you watch the best movies.
Tia Carrere, the actress who played Cassandra, did all her own vocals for the movie. She actually turned down a role on Baywatch to do this movie.
The song in the Brewery was an exact remake of the opening to "Laverne and Shirley," a spin-off of "Happy Days.
“This guys been fucked up since the movie started “ lmao😂lamo😂
I love this movie so much I actually tend to quote it IRL. The amount of cameos in this movie are insane. You gotta look into Alice Cooper he's the guy, he is now on tour with his super group Hollywood Vampire with Johnny Depp. Also I am loving the shirt Macho man was my favorite wrestler growing up everyone else like Hulk but Macho was where it was at, him and Miss Elizabeth was the best.
When Bohemian Rhapsody was released in 1975 it reached #1 on the billboard charts. When Wayne's World was released in 1992, Bohemian Rhapsody once again reached #1 on the charts. Says a lot about how successful Wayne's World was.
"He look like Andre the Giant, but short" LOL
The distance between Aurora and Chicago rather depends on how and when you're travelling, it can be anywhere from a 45 minute drive to a 2 hour drive using I-88 and I-290, and a properly running Metra will take about an hour and a quarter. If an analogy would help, Aurora is to Chicago as Livonia or maybe Romulus would be to Detroit.
J is the first reactor I've seen that actually got the Grey Poupon bit. Thank God, too. I was starting to feel like the oldest dude on the internet.
Your choice of shirts for the movie reactions is top-tier.
“Car! Game on!” I’ve said this when interrupted for many years.
1. Tia Carrera/Cassandra sang all of her songs, and she also has a Grammy for singing and voice over work.
2. It's weird seeing Rob Lowe as a heavy.
3. Brian Doyle Murry is Bill Murry's brother and has been in a ton of movie/tv including two of the Vacation movies.
4. Vincent Fournier/Alice Cooper is a historian, so he loved playing in this thing.
5. He is also a surprisingly good golfer and I've had the privilege of seeing him twice 😎😁
6. Who doesn't love Al Bundy/Ed O'Neil and Meatloaf?
7. A 1978 stoner's film you will like is Cheech & Chong, "Up in Smoke". 😎😎
I actually done up in smoke for the channel - J

You’re not wrong. It may be Wayne’s World, but Garth is really where it’s at. Party on, JL! 🎸
Hey it's Pauly from Detroit. So much Detroit in this one, I am almost overwhelmed with emotions.
The King of Shock Rock Alice Cooper was born in good old Detroit.
Excellent reaction as always, keep up the reactions and the totally positive energy you bring to the Motor City.
Peace.
At 23:03 they were referencing the intro from "Laverne and Shirley" a sitcom from the 1970's and a spin-off of the show "Happy Days"
And Bohemian Rhapsody went to no. 1 again bc of this. Saw WW in high school & it was EVERYTHING. I also had grey poupon in my glove compartment & actually gave it out twice. To people I didn’t know.🤭
J, when you get the chance to truly relax, lie back and listen to Stairway to Heaven. It affects people in different ways. I’m glad you got to enjoy this and I hope you get online to hunt down the various references. Excellent reaction and editing, Blank! God bless you guys with excellence.
Laverne and Shirley show late 70s to early 80s. Thats the bit with the bottle line and glove thing.
Fantastic reaction as always man. This was my absolute favorite movie as a kid, I was even Wayne for Halloween when I was about 9.
Somebody else probably already said, but the whole sequence in Milwaukee with them dancing on the sidewalk and putting a glove on a bottle in a factory was them recreating the intro sequence to 70s sitcom "Laverne and Shirley".
Alice cooper for the past 50+ years has wrote anthems of teenagers, schools out, eightteen, and tons other anthems, alice coope is the lead singer is a stage name, the band alice in chains is named after him, his stage ahow is stuff of legend and myth, he used a guitine to cut his own hwad off every night, electric chair, hes from detroit, maybe hes the reason detroit is what its known for, there is a myth story involving a chicken on stage that he did some wierd things to, the truth is someone threw a chicken on stage and he just knew it was a bird and could fly so he threw it in the crowd and the crowd ripped into pieces, but alice cooper was told dont tell the truth cause people love the story
Great reaction, J! I'm glad so many people have explained to you about the "Laverne and Shirley" reference, as well as who Alice (he's REAL!) Cooper is. Another tidbit which I haven't seen anyone offer (unless I didn't read down far enough in the comments) is that Garth's dream woman is Donna Dixon, the wife of original SNL cast member Dan Akroyd (last I heard they got separated last year but are still married).
JL, when Wayne & Garth were at that conveyor belt with all those bottles with the bandanas on their heads, that was from the opening credits of 'Laverne & Shirley' a spinoff sitcom of 'Happy Days' from the 1970s & they were playing the two main characters, who work in a processing plant & who put a glove on a bottle in the opening credits as it goes by, just like Wayne did, & wave at it goodbye & then ride their bikes before they (W&G) actually get their shit together & go on to see Alice Cooper live in concert, lol. And yes, he is a real musician. He sings that song, 'School's Out For Summer' that you have probably heard before at some point in your lifetime thus far.. ❤✌🏻
