Fix your gopher hawk trap.

I have been using my Gopher hawk traps for years and recently noticed that they don't seem to work anymore. I went to order some new ones and happened to see replacement parts available. These traps are $30 and up so when you're ready to order a few of them the rebuild kit sounds pretty good at $8 on amazon. Rinse them out with the hose so you can work on them and replace the parts. It is super easy and only requires a #1 Philips head screwdriver and a couple minutes. Now you can get the moles out of your yard.

I agree, it's the best mole trap ever. I have an issue with one trap. The strap mechanism catches inside the tube preventing it from exiting the tube far enough to lock open or set. The steel trap is in good condition. I've been looking online but so far no one else seems to have had this problem. Thanks for a very good video.

Had good luck with moles? Or gophers? I’ve had great luck catching gophers but the mole tunnels don’t run deep enough to keep the Gopher Hawk standing up. I braced it up with rocks but it just doesn’t seem to work very well.

Yeah I’ve gotten rid of the gopher problem. Try pilling a couple shovels full of dirt where you want to put the trap. Then install the gopher hawk through the pile into the tunnel. Hope that helps.

My trap gets keep getting triggered without catching anything. Any ideas?

Are your bands bent? Mine were doing this before I rebuilt them.

​@workinonitsteve im having a hard time picturing why that matters. They aren't in the wxact same.shape as new but they still form loops to catch the critters. Ive only had this thing a month and it worked at first and now ive had it trigger like 10 times without a catch

Yes but if the plastic cup is broken it won't keep the trigger in place.
