Ay bro. When you made the sauce on the cast iron pot. Cast iron does not like acidic liquids. When you strip a cast-iron and want to remove the seasoning in case you fucked it up. Whether it’s on cast-iron, or carbon steel. The way to do that is cooked some tomato sauce, or vinegar. You used both, with the vinegar and the ketchup 😂. You probably done that a lot before but those acids will eat away at your seasoning on your pan and get into your food. It can either flake off, or cause the food to have a iron taste. I would use a stainless steel pan.
