So, here's how the plot goes: Bimbo the Dog is annoyed by a mouse. He tries to catch it, but it sends him off to Mars on his own firework. There he sees bizarre creatures engaging in equally bizarre actions. Eventually he is drafted into the Martian army or something. He fails everything and as so the commander attacks him multiple times. Eventually he blows he commander and himself up with a firecracker. As he and the commander float up and away into space, he bites the the commander's leg. Wait, what?
Bimbo kind of looks like Felix at the end 6:10. I don't know what they were thinking with that long, long drilling scene, nearly 2 minutes. The fist part of the cartoon worked pretty good, and one always welcomes cartoons set on Mars, etc. the kind that would lead to Clampett's 1938 Porky in Wackyland (as noted by VMPickle 123 below). The Fleischers' very own KoKo had also gone there.
Imagination gone wild-- how wonderful!
"Merry Christmas!"
"Happy New Year!"
Bimbo's so cute!

It would be great to go to other planets as easy as cartoons do it
Animated by future animation legends Shamus "Jimmie" Culhane & Rudy Zamora.
First Fleischer short to have ad libbing I think.
Has anyone have a complete collection of Max Fleischer cartoons?

NTA was now doing something like Republic Pictures Corporation.
Mickey Mouse.
Wow, some of the early cartoons were really terrible although I do like the Betty Boop ones.
Why is it out of sync?
