For some reason the red safety pin doesn't go all the way in. When the rack is not mounted on the car it's fine but after mounting on the car the pin doesn't go in. I don't understand.
You can try a chemical we use called PB Blaster to help relieve the rusts hold on your ball mount, as well use a rubber mallet to knock the receiver pin out. Afterward clean out your receiver with the PB blaster to prevent the bike rack from becoming lodged in the receiver. Consider leaving the Ball mount out of the vehicle in the future, otherwise regular inspection and cleaning can prevent this from happening again. Good Luck!
Great looking bike hitch . I have this installed in my gladiator. No issues opening the trunk
Thanks 👍

It bother me as well as well the front wheel is not locked.
I have the same truck and I'm interested in this rack, however, it looks like the tailgate hits the rack when you opened it.
Hey XLT! Nope, that's just the action my gate has at the end of the brake assisted opening. This has plenty of clearance.
Safety pin doesn’t seem to serve its purpose because it doesn’t go all the way through. Anyone feeling annoyed/insecure by this?
So the rack locks to the hitch but you did not address if/how the bikes lock to the rack. Important detail totally missed!
There is a built in wire lock that you can run through your bikes to lock them.
Good Review! Thanks a lot!
Each cradle (4) holds 40lbs and total for the rack is 150lb??? So really each cradle holds 37.5lbs.
Sick license plate 👍
What is the nylon strap included with the rack for?
Jeff, use this to secure around the mast and your bike frame. It is not necessary, but will provide added protection from your bike frames swaying.
I'm pretty sure its to secure the front wheel to the frame so its not flopping around like in the video.
I can’t get my safety pin out. The ball is rusted shut
