This is the first time I've actually watched a clip of this series. Big fan of the later "Home Movies" and of H. Jon Benjamin. What really strikes me about this, besides just the fact that they let Steven Wright be Steven Wright in a perfect foiling manner, is how respectful the treatment of the clinical atmosphere is. Dr. Katz sounds like an actual therapist. It's high time I actually watch this series.
@@IdlesQueen Thank you Zoe, even after all these years it's lovely to hear the feedback. When we first launched it with Com Central we weren't sure how it would take. I came up with squigglevision which was unique at that time, and J K was obviously well ahead of his time in terms of adult late night humor for the 90s. All the best, Thomas (Synder), producer/animator.
@@thomasp.crenshaw185 Truly groundbreaking on all levels and your show helps us not only unwind, but get the lovably dry humour we love here across the pond x Thank you ❤️
I would imagine that this is even funnier if you see a doctor, lol. When I was a kid in NYC, my family had me take a Rorschach test from a "college student" studying to be a "shrink." As an adult I realize now they wanted to know if I was like crazy Stephen Wright!
3:35 Oka that is weird. I was relating to this guy the whole episode, and the he said this. I've had this memory of when I was just a baby being put into my crib. I clearly thought the sentence "But I don't want to go to bed yet". Now I'm suspecting the showwriters got my shrink's case on me.
@@Bradley.Calavera if you mean as patients then yes. If you mean like as the new Dr Katz and Ben then no. I love Shane Gillis but you need someone less alpha and cool. Shane is all about "the boys". You need a neurotic cast. Guys like Mark Normand. Now for sure Shane would make a great guest but you would need weirdos and less alpha comedians to play dr katz and ben. I think Mark Normand could pull off a Dr katz'esque character It's a bonus Dr Katz always makes puns and corny jokes too. . Ik he's older than Mark so it sounds weird but Dave atel would be a good ben because to me Dave is that "cool loser" type like Ben
@@Thee-_-Outlier definetly as patients. I watch mssp and shane and matt are so inside their heads that it would be so funny to see them talk about their insecurities
"Excuse me do you have any matches I'm gonna light the building on fire" "what?" Oh nothing.
This guy is a mess!! 😂😂😂
"I'm a local Magellan."
i love how he is balding even as a 4 month old
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This is my happy place. I have a similar life philosophy as Ben. " If you do nothing long enough, something's bound to happen"
This is one of the best shows of our time.
"I dont know if it helped or not. I turned 10 anyway." Lmaoo
Don't let brevity of my question influence the length of your answer...😂
the 4 months bit killed me lmao

There's a guy that has the entire series uploaded, just search Dr Katz full series
"I have an existential map. It has 'You are here' written all over it." -Steven Wright
Haha!!
For Christmas I got a humidifier and a dehumidifier I put them in the same room and let them duke it out. - Steven Wright
"Sure, you can have the whole world, but where would you put it?"
-- Steven Wright
"It's a small world, but I wouldn't wanna paint it"
-Steven Wright
This show was absolute genius.
Thank you. Thomas C, producer.
@@thomasp.crenshaw185Love this programme! Thank you for this golden show x

I was a Boy Scout, but I told her I was in the Air Force.😆
"She was an architect, or a shoe salesman, or something. We didn't talk a lot.'
"I don't know if that helped, I turned ten anyway"
"Most people don't die before 10, and after 100"--accurate! 😂

on second thought the whole bit slaughtered me xD
These are amazing
There's something about this guy I like. Not sure what it is.
Hope you figured it out by now
Subtly hilarious.
This is REAL THERAPY!!! 👀👀👀

There are so many great stand up comedians right now they should remake this show.
That would be awesome
Shane Gillis and Nick mullen would be hilarious

shit i live right near hanscome field...a plane goes over my house like every two minutes
no....fucking.....WAY!!!! how cool!
I remember Home Movies used the same animation style I’m the first 1-2 seasons
It was called Squigglevision.
sure th is shouldn't be one of 2 because the music plays in the other part and its one.. wonder what Steven Wright would think about that...
Home movie vibes
Both were made by the same company.
I miss this show. Dr. Katz's son was cool.
me too I miss it too
1119nj I did watch the show back then

Proudly rendered in NeurotiVision
