Thank you! I love the nail design, the lady that did them is very good. I nearly chose a varnish that looks exactly like the gold obsidian in my icarus tutorial! They contain metal particles and the pattern is created with a magnet!
So so beautiful!!, it takes my breath away. I am so amazed that you can so easily make such a gorgeous piece so quickly. You must be so proud to be so talented. Thank you for sharing your amazing talent. 🙏🏼🦋💐
Thank you so much for your kind words! Trust me, though, when I say the process isn't as smooth as it looks in the video. The video is shortened to only show steps that make sense to people so all the repeats, mistakes etc... are cut out for a smoother process. 💓
Fascinating that your use 12 gauge 1/2 round wire. I don't have any in stock, but I love it in your design. Love this piece. I'll have to make do with another wire or gauge.
Sadly, I believed the video and purchased the 12 gauge half round for this project. Do you think it will work if I use it. I love your videos and I also love yours nails!
I usually work with dead soft wire but I know of some wrappers that prefer half-hard. You will just have to try out different material to see what works for you. The gauges are fluid but I tend to use thicker wire for structural components in larger pieces like this one. 1.3 mm (16 ga) would probably also work for the frame but anything thinner would probably be too flimsy. The decorative wires can be as thick or as fine as you like, it's personal preference :)

You can always adapt (most) designs to suite what you have on hand. The technique mostly stays the same. xx

What is the wire hardness that you use? All your pieces are gorgeous. Can you recommend other gauges that might work?
