Many people like to hate on Saizeriya on the quality but it serves a very specific purpose which is to bring Italian food to the masses at an affordable price, including non-working adults and students who do not have stable income. Cannot be you pay ~$7-8 for pasta and expect Gordon Ramsay standard what, at least be fair to Saizeriya. To me, Saizeriya is really like a Italian kopitiam: cheap, fast, easy and pretty decent, and that's all it matters.
Totally agree. You can't compare a $5.90 or $6.90 pasta with a $20-40 pasta. They are different, and both are good in their way. I find Saizeriya to be more homely, and of course good pasta places or italian restaurants are better in the quality, but it's like you can't just compare macs burgers with a higher end burger joint.
love this duo a lot, Amanda's critic is one of the most accurate out of the other talents I seen so far and renae with her relatable and funny side brings a fun balance to this show
The gratins are really good for such an affordable price. Dip the remaining cheese in the focaccia and delicious. My best memory was studying for my O/A levels while enjoying their drinks bar buffet at the restaurant. And when interning near Changi City Point, instead of squeezing the crowd at the kopitiam during lunch hours, went to saizeriya to enjoy restaurant seating while still paying similar prices (no service charge) that I would have paid eating at a kopitiam. Some of their food are not the best but the price is wallet friendly and there are still good options. I really appreciate this place a lot.
for the price i think the quality of food is reasonable, i don't understand why people complain. if you want better italian food go to a higher-end restaurant?
My standard to rate resturants is .. Since its FOOD which is cooked by a Chef, it should be BETTER than Frozen Foods at 7-11 or Cheers or NTUC.. because if it cannot be nicer than a convenience food or Ready to Eat meals, then you are better off buying frozen and microwaving or airfrying it, why need to pay the Chef to do it.
@@kelp2243 i have seen robo chefs that "cook" food in a sequence and the human just loads the ingredients onto the containers for the "chef", Kaffe Toast also use a robot barista to make its Kopi-C, Kopi-O. I won't be surprised if more restaurants just have humans become the servants to the "robot chefs" as the robots "Cooks", the humans just wipe and clean the "master" robot and feed it with electricity and ingredients and watch as the Master robot does the job. its strange how the human turns into the slave for the robot.
seems like the sauteed spinach and bacon is a take on a southern side dish in america called collard greens... i guess since its hard to find collard greens they used spinach? i dont use bacon i use turkey bacon or smoked turkey legs with it... u can use chard or kale if u cant find collard greens ofc... i usually make it as a side dish with hawaiian macaroni salad and with moco loco with mushrooms and onions in the gravy.. its understandable that they might not like the texture if ur not used to it but i prolly make it alot better xD
I feel like the food isn't that consistent across the outlets, just tried their aglio olio yesterday and it tasted like it had just been boiled in water and smeared w garlic / oil. Literally tasteless and never getting their pasta again. The other dishes are decent.
What's your favourite dish from Saizeriya?
pizza
Creamy Garlic Chicken Pasta from the lunch menu
White cream pasta with garlic prata 🥳
Salmon Doria
Salmon Doria!!

Wdym, the quality is great. People just want to shit on the product because the price isn’t 25.90 a plate I swear.

The creamy garlic chicken pasta for set lunch is damn good
I think the tier list has an error..doubt it's baked calms in the B list. More like baked clams. But I would love some calm sometimes in life.
Oh it’s more organized now. But regardless, organized or not, I find this series interesting and watch the whole video. Thanks eatbook ☺️
thank you, we appreciate it! :')

Where’s the ravioli and risotto?? Those damn power sia
Rule number one to eat Italian food: be seated at the table waiting for the food to be ready from the kitchen and eat immediately.
MILANO GRATIN SO BESTTTTT
I feel like the food isn't that consistent across the outlets, just tried their aglio olio yesterday and it tasted like it had just been boiled in water and smeared w garlic / oil. Literally tasteless and never getting their pasta again. The other dishes are decent.
The only reason I will eat at saizeriya is the free flow drinks...
BBQ CHICKEN PIZZA F??!?! damn I actually enjoy it
Saizeriya is actually from Japan
Eat in and take away is diff , must be fair lah…example you take away Bak Chor mee, when you take out, it became dry and the shape of the plastic bag

Saizeriya is just down bad
Dead
Tried once and it was so horrible. Lower standard than school/army cafeteria food. My whole family swore never to return.
Irritating host .... Left one bad hair day ... Right one stiff neck day ... Overall rating of the host 2/10
