Not to completely disagree with your point but in my opinion I would like to say that TOEFL is actually harder than IELTS, except the writing part the rest of IELTS is quite easy.

I was listening to this video on my way to write my ielts 2 weeks ago and to my amazement I got a problem and solution question. Scored 7 in writing. Speaking 8.5, listening 7.5 and reading 7. All your videos are great
Hi Jay, I did my IELTS on 20th June 2022. Am glad I watched this problem solution question here because that's the question i got in the exam room. The question was what causes children to eat unhealthy and solutions. I used this exact method of writing and before I knew it, I was done within 20mins did proof reading for 10 mins then focused with tasks 1 question. I got a band 7 in writing and was happy. My advice to students always start with task 2 essay question it carries more marks.

You guys have no idea how helpful your lessons have been to me. I sat the test and the questions that I got were insanely tough;my mind went blank for like 10 minutes or so when I went through the writing questions. I went out of the test hall disappointed and devestated. I was dreading the day the results would come . I promised myself that I would make this comment on the last e2 video that I watched if I get a band higher than 7. And lo and behold, my results have just arrived and I got : W:7.5 R:8 L:8.5 S:7 I was freaking elated and I danced around (literally) and immediately recommended you guys to all my friends. Today, jan 6th 2018, I have completed LRW of ielts.. I was in panic mode for essay writing until I saw this video two days before the exam. Watched all essay writing videos just before the exam. @@R-cakes yes, also included some of my own as well which i have seen on other sources. But you can definately get atleast a 7 in writing and even more if you dont do mistakes and stick to the plan completely.

All the teachers at E2 are nothing sort of amazing! This channel was helpful in unimaginable ways, and especially the Writing Task 2 videos were platinum standard! First attempt: S 8.5, R 9, L 7.5 (my ADHD got better of me I guess), W 7 Second attempt: S 9, R 9, L 9, W 7.5
I found it more relevant to cover all about one cause means ( cause 1 - reason - example ). Then cover all about the second cause ( cause 2 - reason - example ). I think this will be a better structure especially if the two causes are not so similar - Please advise
@@ideal_fitnesss33 For about a month. You need to understand what exactly are the examiners looking for in your answers and write according to that. If someone's grammar and vocabulary isn't up to mark they would need to work on that as well.

@@ideal_fitnesss33 as far being ready or not is concerned, your practice test score is a good indicator for Reading and Listening sections. Speaking is something you have to practice. There's a pattern which is followed for speaking test. You just need to understand that and prepare at least the intro section. E2 IELTS video is good enough. For writing you need to follow the guidelines. For formal, informal letter and essay types. I suggest reading some good reading material on a regular basis to improve your English in general.

If i put my two causes and then two reasons and then two examples, then would that be coherent? See below structure: Cause1 Cause 2 Reason 1 Reason 2 Ex 1 Ex 2 Conclusion My two causes were family issues and job pressure.

On top of that, I got hold of as many topics as I could and I practiced writing them within the time frame. I also asked friends to read them and give me their opinion. I am English first language so if you aren't the same, you may just need to practice more/ longer.
just do lot's of practice tests. I got 8.5 for my reading because i practiced so much that I managed to finish early and go over all my answers to make sure I was 100% happy with what I submitted

Topic: Stress-related illnesses Nowadays stress-related illnesses are affecting millions of people around the globe. This essay will discuss the main causes of it, includding University pressure, in early age, and the competitive work, in adulthood. This written paper will also suggest how meditation techniques and practising yoga might help handleing these issues, which are becoming more common day by day. Human beings are drifted to compel a high society standards, such as being sucsesfull in degree' studies or Masters in formal education. But after the student period, it comes the worst: insane office hours, that are endless, time-comsuming and of course, tremondously stressful. Both types of tension, in academic institutions and in working environments, tipically occur because of the lack of self consciouness, in which they are putting too much effort to acomplish social standards. For instance, a complete week without sleeping during final exams in order to persue excellent grades or a office worker spending extra hours in order to climb a corporate ladder. This most of the time undoubtely ends up in stressful-scenarios that negativelly affects people´s health. Applying daily meditation methods or practising yoga could prevent stress-related illnesses, such as insomnia, depression or hypertension. Just breathing with awareness calms a person´s mind and by doing yoga' postures the body has the chance to deeply relax. For example, it is scientifically proved that a steady breathing reduces twenty percent blood pressure and yoga practice helps to avoid mental disorders. Therefore, in order to diminish academic and work related disseasses, these oriental practises reduce stress symptoms. In conclusion, stress-related illnesses are a current coin in our demanding society. In this written work we have discussed two main causes of it: academic and laborative pressure. Just wanted to say thank you for all the IELTS Writing videos. I also received 3 x 9s but a 7.5 in writing, Having watching and practised along with the videos I feel so much better prepared to nail the technique in my test tomorrow - what a wonderful resource!
All the teachers at E2 are nothing sort of amazing! This channel was helpful in unimaginable ways, and especially the Writing Task 2 videos were platinum standard!
First attempt: S 8.5, R 9, L 7.5 (my ADHD got better of me I guess), W 7
Second attempt: S 9, R 9, L 9, W 7.5
I found it more relevant to cover all about one cause means ( cause 1 - reason - example ). Then cover all about the second cause ( cause 2 - reason - example ). I think this will be a better structure especially if the two causes are not so similar - Please advise

@@ideal_fitnesss33 For about a month. You need to understand what exactly are the examiners looking for in your answers and write according to that. If someone's grammar and vocabulary isn't up to mark they would need to work on that as well.

@@ideal_fitnesss33 as far being ready or not is concerned, your practice test score is a good indicator for Reading and Listening sections. Speaking is something you have to practice. There's a pattern which is followed for speaking test. You just need to understand that and prepare at least the intro section. E2 IELTS video is good enough. For writing you need to follow the guidelines. For formal, informal letter and essay types. I suggest reading some good reading material on a regular basis to improve your English in general.
Tanu Gupta did you take the academic version of the test ...because there aren’t any formal or informal letters in that till I’m aware of ?

Pihu, open the transcript. You can easily have access to other students sentences. Look at the three ... at the right bottom, next to like, dislike, share and etc. you wont miss it.

@@hiteshkorat3251 Hi, well i watched every single one of Jays videos and did the exercises with him. I watched each video at least twice. On top of that, I got hold of as many topics as I could and I practiced writing them within the time frame. I also asked friends to read them and give me their opinion. I am English first language so if you aren't the same, you may just need to practice more/ longer.

just do lot's of practice tests. I got 8.5 for my reading because i practiced so much that I managed to finish early and go over all my answers to make sure I was 100% happy with what I submitted

Cause-solution Essay. Topic: Stress-related illnesses
Nowadays stress-related illnesses are affecting millions of people around the globe. This essay will discuss the main causes of it, includding University pressure, in early age, and the competitive work, in adulthood. This written paper will also suggest how meditation techniques and practising yoga might help handleing these issues, which are becoming more common day by day.
Human beings are drifted to compel a high society standards, such as being sucsesfull in degree' studies or Masters in formal education. But after the student period, it comes the worst: insane office hours, that are endless, time-comsuming and of course, tremondously stressful. Both types of tension, in academic institutions and in working environments, tipically occur because of the lack of self consciouness, in which they are putting too much effort to acomplish social standards. For instance, a complete week without sleeping during final exams in order to persue excellent grades or a office worker spending extra hours in order to climb a corporate ladder. This most of the time undoubtely ends up in stressful-scenarios that negativelly affects people´s health.
Applying daily meditation methods or practising yoga could prevent stress-related illnesses, such as insomnia, depression or hypertension. Just breathing with awareness calms a person´s mind and by doing yoga' postures the body has the chance to deeply relax. For example, it is scientifically proved that a steady breathing reduces twenty percent blood pressure and yoga practice helps to avoid mental disorders. Therefore, in order to diminish academic and work related disseasses, these oriental practises reduce stress symptoms.
In conclusion, stress-related illnesses are a current coin in our demanding society. In this written work we have discussed two main causes of it: academic and laborative pressure. In addition, this essay also suggested that breathing techniques during medidation or doing yoga can make a person live less stressfull, and therefore, way healthier without stress-related illnesses.
