Hi Sherry, my favorite flower is sweat pea. It was the first flower that my dear Mother planted with me as a child and I love the fragrant essence of the sweet pea.🥀
My favorite flower is Gardenia. It was my Mom’s favorite, so I guess I adopted it from all the corsages that I bought her over the years. They are so delicate & beautiful, & the fragrance is intoxicating!! I have enjoyed seeing all of the new interest in the Slow Stitching Movement, & also the huswifes too! I have been watching different videos, & definitely want to make one for myself!
Hello! I'm one of your newer subscribers, I mostly knit but I was gifted an embroidery kit a couple of years ago and would love to really get into it, especially in this lovely style you showcase here. My favourite flower is lavender! I love watching the blue banded bees hover around the purple flowers - in fact, I just love watching the native bees in my area around lavender because they tend to stand out!
What a beautiful huswif you’re making. I have my dad’s RAF issue “housewife” which is very military looking but I think I’ll add some pretty bits to it and use it. My favourite flowers are daffodils, I love Wordsworths poetry especially that one. I’m also making the mini hexie quilt from The Stitchery. It’s taking forever because I have too many things on the go. 😂
So sorry to hear about the scammers. I always enjoy your podcasts and seeing your beautiful slow stitching and beautiful yarns etc. My favourite flower is a snowdrop. They look so delicate but are such tough little flowers poking their heads through the hard wintry ground often covered in frost and sometimes snow. Also they are usually flowering for my birthday!
Morning Sherry , it’s a hard one to pick , but I think I have to say my favourite flower would be the lily of the valley , it evokes so many childhood memories, so thank you for all the projects you share on you channel .
So many favourite flowers to choose from, but I'll pick Sweet Williams. They remind me of my childhood in my parents' garden 😊 I love their sweet scent and lovely jewel colours.
Congratulations on the 10K 🎉. I love so many flowers but my current favourites are daffodils 🌼. Yellow is my favourite colour and I just love seeing all of the sunny flowers after Winter 😊
Another lovely, inspirational podcast, thank you. I hope to start some embroidery soon; I cross stitched a very small Christmas scene for my daughter last Christmas, working on a very basic one now, then hopefully an embroidery one next. My favourite flower is a daisy, always smiling in my eyes, whatever the weather. A small vase of them will always brighten the day. I was delighted to discover a few years ago that it happens to be my birth month flower too😊 Thank you again.
Thank you for another lovely podcast, they are so soothing and inspiring. My favourite flower is a Fuchsia, I was captivated by the plant we had in our garden when I was a child and I always make a beeline for them in the garden centre.
Such a lovely video, as always Sherry. I love all flowers, but if I had to pick one it would be lavender. I love its colour, fragrance and most of all I love seeing bees on our lavender bushes. Have a lovely week xx
Always look forward to your videos and any new items on your website. My favourite flower is wisteria - reminds me of the lovely times I'd had in mum and dad's garden.
I love your slow stitching, Sherry. It's so beautiful! 💖 My favorite flower are lilacs. Partly because of their lovely scent and partly because purple is my favorite color. I wish they bloomed all summer. 💜 My husband surprised me last week with your Floral Edit minis club Apple Blossom & Lilac!! I was so excited!! The little pouch that came with it is so beautiful and I love using it! I began some socks right away with the yarn and will tag you in Instagram when I get them finished. ☺️😍 Since I'm in America I don't get yarn from the UK very often. Have a lovely week!! ❤
Lilacs are my favorite early spring flower..they grew outside my bedroom window as a young girl many many moons ago...your podcast is so soothing and inspiring thank you
Hi again Sherry, another lovely video to watch as always. I’m knitting a vest for my wee granddaughter, I’ve already completed her twin brother’s one. I’ve done some colour work in each one, the smaller size has been super to practice on. I have two favourite flowers. Sweet peas have always been a favourite and ‘Sweetpea’ is what we call our daughter (as a nickname name). And dahlias - I have memories of dahlias around the borders of my grandmothers veggie garden. Both flowers are in our garden. Enjoy your week and may the weather gods smile on your laundry 🧺
Lovely podcast as always Sherry - I do so look forward to watching ! My favourite flower is the Sweet Pea because every time I smell their fragrance I am immediately transported back to a time when I was a young girl visiting my grandparents. My wonderful grandad had a fabulous vegetable and cutting garden and every time I visited the Summer months he would pick me a bunch of sweet peas to take home and put in my bedroom! He was an amazing man and taught me very early on to enjoy simple pleasures of life !
Congratulations on 10K 🎉. I absolutely love jonquils. The smell is so sweet. My bridesmaids had jonquils and when I see them, they remind me of our wedding day.
Sherry, I really enjoy your stitchy podcasts. My favorite flower would have to be the rose because of all the varieties and colors. I love the perfume as well. When I was raising my children, I always wore a rose scent intentionally so that they would associate that aroma with me. Now at ages 35 and 30, they do!
Congratulations on 10,000 subscribers. I appreciate your talent. My favourite flower (at the moment) is bergamot. Love the different colours & the perfume of the leaves & stalks. Holds lots of memories.
My favourite flower is the rose 🌹 they come in all shapes, sizes & colours. Scented and unscented too. Climbers, standards and ramblers. Remind me of an English country garden.
I love your Huswif Sherry, I've not embroidered or stitched since I was maybe 12 years old, but you've inspired me 😊 My favourite flower is a Rose but a specific one called Arthur Bell, it's the perfect yellow fading to cream as its flower ages. My parents grew them and Arthur Bell was both their favourite, Mum for its amazing scent and beauty and Dad, yes, for similar reasons but also because Arthur Bell created Bells whiskey! How he used to laugh propped up on his garden fork ❤ Thankyou for a lovely podcast Sherry.
My favorite flower is the peony, followed closely by David Austin roses. Both smell divine and just seem to outdo themselves in their abundance of petals! Sadly I cannot grow them here at high altitude in Colorado! I have been overwhelmed by the inspiration that your slow stitching imparts, as well as the stunningly beautiful yarns that knitter's drool over! 🥰
My favourite flower is the hydrangea I love how it changes colour as it ages on the plant and look beautiful throughout summer. Yes I have finished 2 huswif’s recently and have really enjoyed making them and they will be so useful to hold slow stitching projects. I have only just recently discovered your podcasts Thanks so much they are a pleasure to watch 😊
Sherry I love everything you do. Your attention to detail and the talent in your family is amazing! My favorite flower is the foxglove. I'm not sure why, other than, in my mind, it is the quintessential cottage flower and they make me so very happy!
My favourite flower is the rose, I love all the different varieties and fragrances. I really enjoy watching your videos and all the beautiful stitching. I just finished my huswif and love slow stitching. I’m now stitching onto a denim jacket with art I have drawn.
Sherry your work is so beautiful and inspiring. My favourite flower is the daisy. I’m not exactly sure why, but I think it might be because my grandparents had a strip of grass that ran up the middle of their driveway which had little tiny daisies growing in it. It is one of those childhood memories that stuck with me (we did not visit our grandparents often as they were in England and we were in Canada).
Honeysuckle because in 1972 when I was 15 I used to pick a sprig every evening on the walk to visit my dad in hospital - we lived in London so he enjoyed having it smelling sweetly by his bedside ❤
Gosh so many to choose from but bluebells must be near the top of my list, I have fond memories of trips to a local bluebell wood as a child and am lucky enough to have an abundance of them growing around my home. 😊
My favourite flowers are daisies , I love that they remind me of making daisy chains as a child. My late husband loved hydrangeas and the way their colour was decided by the soil.love watching the stitching you do.xx
Another wonderful video Sherry - I love your stitching. My favourite flower is lavender. I love to watch it bloom, then wait for the perfect time to pick and dry it so I can enjoy it's fragrance for months to come in the little pouches I make to put in my project bags, drawers and wardrobes.
Congratulations on reaching so many subscribers your ideas and videos are so inspirational I’m not surprised as they bring a lot of joy 😊 my favourite flower is the sweet pea I grow them every year & I love them for many reasons the beautiful colours, the wonderful scent, the fact the more you pick the more that grows but most importantly they are forever associated with my mum who loved them also & when she was ill & unable to get into the garden I would pick a bunch every few days to have next to her xx
My favourite flower is from the Christmas cactus plant. I love that it blooms many times throughout the year especially in the winter. Currently I have a red, pink and peach colour. Also miniature roses in every colour.😊
I’m so sorry that your generosity and celebration in hitting 10k was met with a scammer. From memory I had said that your channel has inspired me to start work on an embroidery that my grandmother had prepped but not started before she left us. It’s been a joy to work on. Feels like she is with me when I do. And my flower is the crocus because I think of it as my grandfather’s flower. I remember planting them with, and then for him. He was a gardener, artist, maker, tinkerer, gentleman. I miss them both every day. And I would also say that I never feel as close to them as when I’m making. One of their legacies.
My favorite flowers are sweetpeas. I have fond memories of visiting my Grandad and Grandmother and being told to go down the garden and pick as many sweetpeas as I liked. To this day the smell of them puts me right there with the joy of such a simple pleasure.
My favourite flower is the Auricula, they’re such hardy little stalwarts in the most beautiful colours and just happen to be in full bloom during my birthday month, May 🌼
I find it so hard to choose a favorite flower because I love so many! I love to grow Dahlias and Zinnias as they flower for such a long time and I’m able to bring bunches of them inside my home. My favourite flower used to be the Peony (I do still love them) but I think now it might be the rose. They have such an allure to them, they’re beautiful in such a wide variety and they are the quintessential English cottage garden flower. The flower that always makes me feel happy though is a daisy. 🌼
Congratulations on reaching 10,000 subscribers! My favourite flower is a David Austin shrub rose in my garden called Jacqueline du Pre. It’s the most beautiful pale pink and creamy white with a beautiful open centre that the bees love ❤
My favourite flower is the Sweet Pea. I adore the colours, the gorgeous fragrance but mainly they remind me of my Grandma. We used to sit in her back garden in summer, amongst the flowers and she taught me all I know about embroidery. Special times. thank you for all your amazing inspiration. Gill.
Really hard to choose but I love an old fashioned fragrant rose. I loved gathering the fallen petals to make perfume when I was little. Love everything you do!
My grandad was a tough Yorkshire man who reckoned that growing flowers was a waste of his time. Cabbages and leeks and carrots were the order of the day, but hidden out of sight, against the garage wall, he grew sweet peas for my grandma. Just the smell of a sweet pea transports me back to being a little girl in amongst the cabbages with him in his old cord trousers and braces, with a woodbine stuck out of the side of his mouth.
Such a shame about the scammers and well done for not being deterred - it really shakes you up when something like that happens doesn’t it? Beautiful podcast as ever, thank you. My favourite flower has to be the lily as every bouquet I was bought after becoming a mummy for the first time had lilies in and the smell takes me right back to those glorious days (she’s 21 this year and I’m still only 22 in my head)! 💕💕
So my favourite flowers are peonies - I grow lots of varieties and species - they are the epitome of beauty to me. Fleeting, to be enjoyed in the moment, some double, some single, some with fragrance, pale colours, rich colours, some are very old varieties that my Grandma grew. Love them❤ I have making a huswif on my list of projects - have you seen the lovely book that was published last year? And I am absorbed with my Quarter Cloth - a version of your nature journal based on the turn of the seasons through Spring . Lovely podcast as ever Sherry x
I am so happy that I am not restricted to only one favorite flower in my garden! I would say my roses are my favorite…..today! I picked three beautiful bouquets of roses today! I love flowers and I love needle and thread. Knitting, quilt making, embroidery……all of it!
My favorite flower is the pansy. They are a spring flower here in the US and they remind me of color and grace under pressure of the coming hotter seasons of summer and autumn. The colors are cheerful and there are so many to see. The huswife you are making looks lovely. As I am an admirer of your slow stitching, I follow it more closely, but I happened upon this video in scrolling and it was lovely. Thank you for your efforts here on RUclips, I appreciate them so much🙂
So enjoying your videos, especially the ones showing your stitched nature journal. My ' Memories' journal has become my favourite piece of stitching to work on and I've found myself picking it up most days since I started it. My previous comment on loving the fact that I don't feel rushed into finishing it as quickly as possible still rings true. I've really enjoyed picking it up and putting thought and love as well as time into each stitch. Loved seeing your Houswif too. Seems like the perfect solution to carry all those important bits and pieces needed for Slow Stitching while away from home.
Hi lovely. My favourite flower had always been the Dahlia but since losing my dad in January the Snowdrop has stole my heart. I remember seeing them in my garden and a Robin bobbing around near them brought me so much comfort during the very early sad days. Xx
I share your love of cow parsley, this is my favourite flower. I get excited at this time of year when I see the first blooms appear on the grass verges here in Warwickshire x
My favourite flower is a gerbera. I had champagne coloured ones in my wedding bouquet with the men having them in their buttonholes. Everytime I see one now it reminds me of a very special day 😊
My favourite flower is the Wild Rose. I love the adage that “God gave us memory that we might have roses in December” and my daughter, Rosie, was born just after Christmas Day!
The night-blooming cereus is my absolute favorite flower. Blooming for only one night, the stunning white blossom turns gently upward then begins unfurling at a speed almost visible to the naked eye, with a release of perfume that, once experienced, will surely never be forgotten. So purely white, with delicate yellow stamen, the cereus blossom waits for dark to break into its song, and for that night it gives its complete self. By morning it droops, spent and done, but having celebrated its Creator with all its heart. Your hus wife is inspiring!
My favourite flower is the English Primrose. I found them growing on the clay banks at the dream house we bought, prior to my daughter’s health decline, which bought massive changes and eventual house sale and relocation. I always read the English Country Living magazine, so it was amazing for me to have these little flowers so frequently featured in the magazine. I shifted them when we moved cities, but they never thrived, and eventually I lost them. I’ve been on the lookout for them ever since, but haven’t found them again. We have moved cities again, and I hope they will thrive here, I just need to start looking for them again. Thanks for your channel. I am a slow stitcher with health issues, and find the gentle pace of your videos ideal, and the subject matter inspiring.
It is so difficult to choose just one favourite flower but I think it would have to be the sweet pea with it’s glorious heady scent and so many lovely colours.
What you do is beautiful: the choice of colors, the creativity, the nature topic… it brings a lot of beauty to this world that really needs it ! Thank you, from Washington DC. PS: my favorite flower: the peony…
My favourite flower is the Freesia...I love the scent and they are reminder of my first time as a bridesmaid for my Uncle and his wife. They are still married 50 years later. I love your aesthetic Sherry, your yarn colour choices and your embroidery are beautiful. Take care ..Love Sue xx
How exciting with the new kits! They will be beautiful I am sure. The flower that I like is the little Forget me Nots. They are so dainty (each leaf) they pop up in the places where no other plant can grow. They are always on very old postcards and there is a history of Valentine Cards with the forget me nots. Their colours are beautiful and always amaze me. Their name intrigues me too. Looking forward to seeing more of your embroidery. Thank You for sharing.
My favourite flower is the foxglove. There’s nothing better than getting lost in time sitting in the garden watching the bees busy themselves in and out the bells of the flower. 😊. Also wanted to say Sherry, what a wonderful channel you have. Love watching your videos.
I love Forget Me Not flowers. They are so delicate and they bloom early in the season here in Michigan. This flower reminds me of all those who suffer from dementia. My Mom had dementia and now my mother-in-law is suffering from it, it’s such a cruel disease. Peony used to be because they smell sooooo good! And if I’m fortunate enough to win I would like your slow stitch gift since I’ve already purchased your floral edition gift. 🤞🏼
I love your podcasts so much being so unwell right now it lightens my day and I love re-watching them my favourite flower is the sweet pea I love the range of colours from pale blush to deep colours and their scent is amazing it was my mum's favourite flower and I grow them every year and when my son got married they were on the tables and down the walkway to the reception I have a go at dying the fleeces I use to spin with and use food dyes and citric acid crystals to set the colour and it means I don't need to wear a mask
Dear Sherry, it is always a joy to watch your videos. Your huswif looks so beautiful. My favourite flowers are bluebells. A carpet of bluebells are one of the greatest sights of spring. Kind regards Beate
Hello Sherry, lovely to see you again. My favourite flowers are roses, hydrangeas, peonies... I could go on.!! I haven't met many flowers I didn't like!! ❤❤❤
My favourite flower of the moment is the beautiful snakeshead fritillary. Looks so delicate but such a stalwart little trouper. Loves the soggy ground and laughs at the marauding rabbits. Lovely peaceful and inspiring videos Sherry.
So many lovely flowers mentioned here but my favourite flower that brings me joy every year is the snowdrop. At what seems to be the bleakest time of the year it appears and promises that spring is just around the corner. 😊
I enjoy all your vlogs Sherry, and this one is just lovely too….my favourite flowers are sweet peas, as I love all the delicate colours and also it was my mums wedding bouquet back in the 30’s!…. I am in the middle of making my own Huswif, but am not a great sewist, so am taking my time and doing a little each day….your vlogs are sooo inspirational so thank you for that. Take care 🥰 x x x
Oh my goodness, there are so many beautiful flowers! Sunflowers are one of my favorites. They always bring a smile to my face.😊. My husband will surprise me with a bunch every so often.🌻
Very hard to choose one favourite flower, but I'll go with a rose. The rose comes in so many forms - climbing, rambling or shrub, it can be deliciously scented or beautifully unscented. It can be wild and free, or tamed and grown to win prizes. They have great names, and it's always interesting to see roses named after people or characters from literature, my last rose was King Charles - soft pink, gorgeous waves of petals and a soft fragrance. I also love rosehips, a bit of colour in the darker days (if hips last that long) but I also love to forage and collect to make rosehip syrup - though the hips do not last long enough to see any frosts in recent years, so I collect as soon as I can and store in the freezer until I have enough. Oh and it's the flower of England...so many reasons to be a favourite - A rose by any other name would smell as sweet...
Any type of daisy I adore, they make me smile and feel happy. Dreaming of one of your Christmas advent boxes, I’m slowly knitting a Lina sweater. Thank you for your podcasts and seeing your amazing slow stitching.
Hi Sherry , my favourite flower is the rose so many varieties to choose from , I do like carnations also and most cottage garden plants , I so enjoy Getting my slow stitch boxes in the post and watching your podcasts, I love your nature journal and look forward to your progress.
My favourite flower is a celandine ….basically because Mother Nature says to me through the flower after those dark cold days ……’here you are special soul……here’s the beginning of Spring that I promised you would come’
Glad you commented - I got one of those fake replies to my comment yesterday, and deleted it... My favorite flower is the poppy. I've loved it since I was a teenager and had seem artwork by Georgia O'Keeffe. I'm new to discovering your channel and I'm enjoying seeing all your beautiful hand stitching and embroidery.💙
Glad you haven't been deterred by the scammers! Just gives us another opportunity to view your video. The Huswif is going to be pretty when completed, but I so admire the way your nature journal is progressing, it's gorgeous.
My favourite flowers are Bluebells. They remind me of my childhood garden and we had lots and lots. My father was a very keen gardener and the display was stunning. They remind me of him 😊. Beautiful video Sherry full of the most gorgeous things which make me happy . Thank you 🤗 x

@@SherryIris Yes! It's lovely to have them in my own garden now. They bring such happy childhood memories 😊
Congratulations on reaching 10k subscribers. I love all flowers but if I have to choose I can't go past the beautiful Rose!

So sorry to hear about the bots of scammers! My favorite flowers are Sweet Peas. I held them as a bride...many years ago.
My favorite flower is the pink and white lady slipper.
Oh I had to look that up. isn't it beautiful?! xx
Such a lovely video, as always Sherry. I love all flowers, but if I had to pick one it would be lavender. I love its colour, fragrance and most of all I love seeing bees on our lavender bushes. Have a lovely week xx

Lilacs are my favorite early spring flower..they grew outside my bedroom window as a young girl many many moons ago...your podcast is so soothing and inspiring thank you
How wonderful Diane, to have had a lilac growing outside your window x

He was a gardener, artist, maker, tinkerer, gentleman. I miss them both every day. And I would also say that I never feel as close to them as when I’m making. One of their legacies.
Мой любимый цветок ромашка. Люблю поле из ромашек! Другие цветы тоже прекрасны!
Love them❤
I have making a huswif on my list of projects - have you seen the lovely book that was published last year? And I am absorbed with my Quarter Cloth - a version of your nature journal based on the turn of the seasons through Spring . Lovely podcast as ever Sherry x
My favorite flower is the pansy. I love the beautiful purples and yellows mixed together. I wish the blooms lasted longer!
They're such joyous little flowers aren't they? xx
My favourite flower is the Snakehead Fritillary. Its just amazing that nature can create a flower that is chequered! Thank you for your inspiration.
My favourite flower is the primrose - so pretty and full of the joy of spring. Enjoy your slow stitching videos - an inspiration! xx
My favourite flower is a peony. I find them just beautiful and they remind me of my childhood garden.
Ah forget-me-nots - love them! We've translated their beauty into yarn this week xx
The snowdrop is my favourite flower, my heart sings when I spot the first one. A sign that even cold in cold wet ground Mother Nature is busy.
These little flowers really do make your heart sing don't they? Such an uplifting sight x
My favourite flower is the foxglove. There’s nothing better than getting lost in time sitting in the garden watching the bees busy themselves in and out the bells of the flower. 😊. Also wanted to say Sherry, what a wonderful channel you have. Love watching your videos.
Thank you Debbie for such a lovely message! I love the foxglove too - we've translated it into yarn this week xx
Jasmine is my favourite flower. I love the airy look and the amazing smell. Your work if beautiful and inspiring.
My favourite flower is a snowdrop. They bring a smile when its cold and frosty but pop up to remind us that spring is on its way
Snowdrops are just exquisite aren't they? Always so uplifting to see xx
My favourite flower is the Sweet Pea, it takes me back to my childhood when our garden was full of them and there beautiful scent.xx
My favorite flower is lily of the valley, they smell so wonderful! I love York huswif and can’t wait unit you show it when it’s finished!
My favourite flowers are violets because they are such sweet little unassuming flowers that are so incredibly beautiful, and they smell divine.
My favourite spring flower has always been the daffodil, it’s so pretty and bright to me , it’s spring. Love you stitching ,so pretty 😊
So many lovely flowers mentioned here but my favourite flower that brings me joy every year is the snowdrop. At what seems to be the bleakest time of the year it appears and promises that spring is just around the corner. 😊
I agree Heather - such an uplifting little flower xx
Favorite flower: Lily of the Valley , tiny and petit with an enormous wonderful scent
Any type of daisy I adore, they make me smile and feel happy. Dreaming of one of your Christmas advent boxes, I’m slowly knitting a Lina sweater. Thank you for your podcasts and seeing your amazing slow stitching.
The most beautiful hand stitching I have ever seen in my life❤
Hydrangea is my favourite flower because of the beauty of its colours when it’s fresh and the gorgeous muted tones that appear as it dries.
Hi Sherry , my favourite flower is the rose so many varieties to choose from , I do like carnations also and most cottage garden plants , I so enjoy Getting my slow stitch boxes in the post and watching your podcasts, I love your nature journal and look forward to your progress.
My favourite flower is a celandine ….basically because Mother Nature says to me through the flower after those dark cold days ……’here you are special soul……here’s the beginning of Spring that I promised you would come’
How lovely Maureen and I love the words! x
Thank you for your lovely message Penny. What a lovely memory to have of your childhood garden and your father xx
My favorite flower is Daffodils! Second is Holly Hocks!
Choosing a favourite flower is very difficult but I think it would be the iris. I just love the variety of colours and how they look in the garden.
