Great build. I love it. I would have liked a cafeteria. My university had a cafeteria in the basement and we all loved that. (Ravasheen's catering tables are amazing for bypassing the "no ovens or grills" restriction.) Because of this, I don't think I've ever visited the library lot in Britechester. The lot and your build are great - after watching this, I've been inspired to build a museum in this spot.
My university has a stream running through it. Our tradition is that, on your birthday, your friends are supposed to grab you and toss you in the stream. It's a shallow, ice-cold stream.
I love this! I love making multifunctional lots I have one in delsol valley that I made where it has as much lot transition as possible, library, gym, bar, Cafe, kid hangout. Anything I could think of. I think I want to add this to my game and add the robotics into a basement level so it wouldn't "disturb the peace" and still have a place to go to practice it.
This looks great. It's a smaller version of how I want my high school build to look. Will be saving this to my build playlist for future reference. Thanks for the inspo!
This video definitely inspired me to take a crack at making my own university library! You are an inspiration for me to learn more in this game. It can be a challenge playing on the Xbox, but most days I’m up for it!

In my home town we have a very similar looking building with the library downstairs and an art gallery upstairs where you can take art workshops, so easels upstairs kinda makes sense to me 😂
Tip for the friezes...don't add them until the end and certainly don't fix them until the end if you do them earlier and they glitch. Cause if they glitch once they're going to glitch again and you're just setting yourself up for frustration.
We really need mixed lot types in The Sims. My public library has a café, a toddler and infant soft play area (it's really just a few foam shapes on a foam puzzle mat, with a few dolls and cars dotted around, but it's still there), and a movie area with a huge tv where the library has special film days where you can come in and watch movies on comfy sofas and armchairs. There's also a museum right next door, and oversize chess games outside where the pieces are like 3 feet tall.
At my college, we had 3 levels to the library building. The bottom floor, the “basement” (the building had 2 entrances, one on the middle floor and one in the basement, there was a pretty big dip where it was built) contained a continence store that had 2 fast food places inside along with seating for food and studying. The second floor was when people met for group studies and such even having study rooms if you wanted a space for yourself. The front desk was there and there was a digitize media room for 3d printing and such. This is also where you regularly met with your advisor. The top floor was the actual library. Have you ever built a bowling Alley? I really need one and dont have any good ideas. Love this library build btw. I like allot of your builds! Thank you!
Why is it okay for Sims to just come bother you tbh?? Folks don't just walk into your house, into your bathroom, while you're showering, in order to talk to you... And then they get all shocked. This happened to me a few weeks ago in game, and it was some child, a little girl. Walked in and into my Sims bathroom while he was showering and they both got so upset. And I couldn't even ask her to leave. I could find the option anywhere, so I ended up just yelling at this little girl. Now my enemy is some child.

It looks really nice. Great job. Looks so much better than the original. I'll have to download it.
Omg!!! Just when Kayla was saying how glitchy the friezes were the video froze and then went out lol😂
My university had a cafe at the front of the library. Coffee and snacks galore! It’s a great idea for the sims.
Have you ever built a bowling Alley? I really need one and dont have any good ideas.
Love this library build btw. I like allot of your builds! Thank you!
My favorite bowling alley is by schnuck01 and is called Oasis Lanes (fix).
@dmfitz5521 Thanks ill check it out right now!
My university has a “makers space” with art supplies and sewing machines and such. So an art rooms makes sense to me
This is what I've been waiting for.. LIBRARIES
Ooohh this makes me want to re-build that library too!
I was just thinking I needed a new uni library! ❤
This gives me city hall from the sims 3 vibes love it
as a current college student who uses their schools library for a lot of things, can confirm it is the place i go when i need a nap on campus
Imagine putting your heart and soul into the university building for lil simsie to roast your greatest work.
As someone who fell asleep at a library in 5th grade, causing my mom to call the police because she thought I was kidnapped, falling asleep in libraries isn’t unheard of lol
I love it! Makes me want to play University again too
Has Kayla rebuilt the get to work lots yet? I can’t remember but I definitely think the hospital, police precinct and the science lab need an upgrade
I know I've seen her rebuild the hospital, but I'm not sure about the others.
the first floor in our libary has a loft where the students can sleep in. although there are couches in all 3 floors where people sleep all the time.
My university’s fountain is a seagull/dog bath in the day and a drunk student bath weekend nights. It’s also a big landmark for directions
My university had a tradition of jumping in the artificial lake on campus in November, so the fountain seems tame.
I am obsessed with the kit.. I use it in all of my builds now..
20:50 I've noticed sims WATCH debates. I like doing it for sure!!
Lmfao just realized we went to the same college, probably around the same time (2017-2019 for me)
I literally avoided campus at all costs though, so doubt we ever had class together
