- Making a simple forced air propane burner. I will be building a smaller metal melting furnace in the near future but I won’t be able to use my waste oil burner in the smaller furnace so for now I made a propane burner.

Excellent, could I ask what amount of air flow do you get from the blower? I'm looking at them on Amazon, is 3.5m(cubed) ok? Does any heat travel back to it? So can it be plastic or does it have to be metal? Thank you
Shaun Whiteley no I don't think heat would travel back to the blower because it is supposed to push to air out
So it can be plastic and 3,5 m cube is good

when did you switch from metric to imperial
that's how they are sold. I guess no one makes them in metric
MP Dragon it is how they are sized according to the bore (internal diameter) They are sized in imperial according to the Nominal pipe size. It's the standard size for North America. DN (Diameter nominal) is the international metric version.
1/8 - 6, 1/4 - 8, 3/8 - 10, 1/2 - 15, 3/4 - 20, 1 - 25, 1 1/4 - 32, 1 1/2 - 40, 2 - 50 ect
Schedule is the pipe thickness. 20, 40, 80, 120, 160 ect
After a certain size, it automatically changes to metric. I think it's 600mm
why do you say everything in inches? i assume you are not living in the UK/US?
