For this updated version they should have made some changes to the 2002 game. They needed to get rid of the scripted team mate transformations for a start. Giving a squad mate a blood test , seeing they were human, only for them then to change seconds later because it was scripted destroyed the whole point of the system in the first place and made it no more than a cheap gimmick. L take, they're improving on the original and preserving it so it's not lost to time. This already looks alot better than the original release, plus it takes alot of work to remaster these games using an old source code.
@@supahflykev There’s not much work to be done with old source code, and of course it will look better than the original release but nothing is actually changed except the engine it’s developed on. Preserving something so that’s it’s not lost with time? It’s not a DRM game, it’s already been preserved. That’s a pretty inconvenient argument to make unless you want it on newer consoles, which isn’t preserving, that’s called re-releasing. I’m sure with that comment about “L take” you’re probably just a child with no education in this field or another die hard fan butthurt over actual criticism on a bad “indie developer” btw it’s not an indie developer as night dive studios has made countless games and they’re the original developers for most of our childhood gaming experiences.
I can’t get over how ignorant this sounds.
@@nuterati i went to stink town and everyone knew you
@@CvntForceDrama Cry about it big boy 😂
They could actually make a legitimately good stand alone game or new series with the concept of The Thing alien.
oh wow it doesnt look good does it
The theme, brings chills everytime
Please Remaster the Riddick games too 🙏
Now jerma needs to make a remastered version with his face
I can't say i'm impress, i would prefer a remake instead with a new engine. I say this due the fact that i have played this game alot.
I used to rent this game from blockbuster when I was a kid. It used to scare the hell out of me. Neat to see it got a remaster!
You know what's funny is, I was actually hunting for this game on PS2 :D Hopefully it has a physical release to add to my horror games collection.
One of my childhood favorite games. Brings back so many great memories and really introduced me to "The Thing". I really wish someone would make a Dead by Daylight or Battle Royale Social Survival game out of this IP.
This actually has a lot of potential. I remember playing this as a kid and being impressed by some of its innovative dynamics. It was hard as hell though for me, at the time.
Took it from ps2 graphics to ps3 graphics
😂😂😂
excited to play this again....but it really should have been a full on remake.
0:58 just a same flame effect like a original release
survival horror doing pretty good these days
I first played this classic on Christmas day in 2002, 2 months after it came out.
