Those things were not so stealthy before. I can understand where you are coming from, though. It just didn't have the right feel for you. That's a bummer.
I'm seeing a serious lack of comments talking about how deserving amnesia the dark descent is number 3 which is so deserved because it is one of the most terrifying games of all time
Man I’ll never forget playing Condemned Christmas 2007 I believe with my cousin and brother. THAT GAME WAS TERRIFYING
Fatal frame erasure when 2/3 are both top 5 and 4 is amazing
Eternal Darkness should be in this list, that game was uniquely terrifying.
The amount of ads in this video is out of control.
RE4 was a better game over all but RE7 was a much better Horror experience. SH2 is the goat tho!!
top 3 for me:
- Alien Isolation
- Resident Evil 7
- Evil Within 1
No Fatal Frame?
Off the top of my head my top ten (with only one game representing each series) would have to be:
1) Silent Hill 2
2) Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly
3) Alan Wake 2
4) Siren 2
5) Resident Evil Remake
6) Dead Space
7) Haunting Ground
8) The Evil Within
9) Decarnation
10) Rule of Rose
Inside is an amazing game. But I often wonder if I’m the only one who has ever played the similar “Little Nightmares”. As it never gets mentioned. It’s infinitely scarier and the ending of part 2 sticks with me to this day
the suffering, F.E.A.R, Condemned, Little nightmares, friday 13 the game, the calisto protocol, the medium, BioShock
evil within deserves more love PT wasn’t even a game
Bro, where is Silent Hill 4???? those room hauntings still give me chills to this day....
I guarantee the zoomer idiots who complied this list never played SH4
Damn. I never realized the guy from Left for Dead is also the guy from Shrek is Love, Shrek is Life.🤣
Mmmm where is madison?
It's funny to see IGN include Alien: Isolation in lists like these considering their infamous review of it.
Absolutely criminal that Penumbra series isn't on this list.
I love these absolutely horrible IGN lists, I’ll enjoy myself watching this
Horrible list. Absolutely awful. Clearly they just need to make the idiot zoomers happy by putting a remake that released two weeks before the video as the scariest game ever lol
solid list
P.T. was the scariest game I've ever played. It's a shame that Konami sucks and scrapped the project.
Also, I know RE is on the list alot... but i would strongly argue that RE7 is the scariest of the bunch.
I didn't mind this list at all, no list is gonna be perfect but this wasn't that bad
I’m going to say that the dying light series has to be up there especially when playing at night it’s incredibly scary.
I am forever crying that I saw the value of Forbidden Siren 2 and it’s never released in North America. It’s still a mission to play this game somehow
I have the original disc version still but no ps1 anymore
Resident Evil 2 is an absolute classic. All the old Resident Evil games are.
Where is Dark wood? It should be on the list right?
I feel like FEAR 2 is missing here. That game hot some really scary parts. Incredible that it isnt included in this list
feel like you should have thrown Silent Hill 1 and 3 in here over PT tbh
I agree. PT is not even finished game in any shape or form.
Agreed but we are dealing with IGN, it’s probably a list made by a diversity hire who has never even played 25 horror games before
Resident evil remake needs to be here this list is crazy
I'll throw Outlast in here as well. It's very disturbing but it's one of the scariest games I've played. Not many horror games can scare me easily but Outlast was well done.
Rule of Rose is my number 1 favorite horror game.
Code Veronica is another great one that didn’t make ign’s list.
There is no game is scary than Outlast 2, Outlast 2 should be number 1
It’s hilarious how everyone is still hurt after ONE reviewer gave Alien Isolation a bad score. One employee doesn’t represent an entire company last I checked lmao
Shout out to the original BioShock! Scariest game I've ever played.
The intro with the first splicer is freaky
@@TheRealMangolorian Yup
@@TheRealMangolorian I feel like people overlook how freaking scary it is. Masterpiece.
MADISON has not been mentioned.. which is truly one of the scariest games ever..
Resident Evil 7 ?!?!??!!?!?
