    Great review. I love seeing comparisons where it’s level matched. Really helps provide a nice objective baseline

      Thank you! Yes, without volume matching it is all totally meaningless :-)

    Sounds the same to me. If there's a difference, nobody would notice it outside the comparison context.

      I totally agree :-)

      I agree with you. Some say that tonex one is slightly brighter and has less bass compared to tonex. I see the difference in that context, but imo the difference seems very subtle, and it is not that important as long as it’s just a difference in eq.

    Wow. I love how technology is advancing in the guitar world. The price to value ratio is at an all time best. It may be $15 for a fast food combo meal nowadays but at least guitar processing value is at a really great place.

    Would be super awesome to have a Fractal FM1
    I’d love to just have the amp and cab modeling from fractal, and pedals for everything else

    I really like your tone in this vid. Tempted to run one of these through the effects loop of my HX stomp to free up some DSP. Ill keep my eye on them thats for sure

    Damn, no midi though. Still loop through helix? Would be great with a full helix because you could just velcro it to an unused spot

    What's the latency difference?

      Same question

    • @rodolfoluppi
      @rodolfoluppi 2 месяца назад

      Leo Gibson has some very good videos about latency. On his latest one the Tonex One has a slight edge on latency, a little lower than the Tonex Pedal (1.3ms vs 2.2ms). But both are pretty low overall compared to other profilers.

    They were definitely really close, but I thought the TXP had a slight bit more clarity to it than the TX1

    Isn't going to be an issue if we use multiple of these in regards of latency an Digital to analog conversion?

    You should go and flip the phase of the one track, theoretically if they are identical there should be no sound. But things are rarely identical in reality so there are always small differences left. I mean this is only for fun, to me tracks sound the same. :)

    • @JasonSadites
      @JasonSadites  4 месяца назад +1

      Yeah, there is a very specific reason I didn't bother with the null test. Since we already know the two tones are most certainly different coming from two completely different pieces of hardware, it would have given no real useful info. It was much more useful to just compare for any audible difference as I did here 😀

    Yes the diff is harder control and no midi control.

    Does it feel the same ? I know this is a bit subjective but I really like how the big ToneX feels and how it interacts with my full pedal chain.
    Would appreciate your input on this question.

      I personally notice any feel difference. I was very impressed with how close it sounded and felt to the big brother 😀

    Hmm, I do hear less bass on the Tonex one, or maybe it’s just me??

    I got my TONEX pedal last and want the smaller one as well for more of using it as a stomp box effects to use with the tonex. Are there any phase issues between them when both are being used like they say with using 2 of the large TONEX pedals?

    • @robyoung2755
      @robyoung2755 Месяц назад +1

      phase issues come from using 2 modelers in stereo with some signal blending. If you pan one hard R and one hard L or if you are using them in series like OD into Amp, there is no phase issue.

    Ok, the new Tonex one is amazing but I still can hear a small difference between those pedals, so I think the Tonex pedal is the best.
