Halo pak martin, I don't know if anyone already answered this but the reason why ayam kampung is more expensive is because it is more naturally grown, they get more sun exposure, they eat insect, etc. basically the way a normal chicken would live wiithout a human raising them like kfc. Ayam kampung that u saw eating trash and stuff, probably a family owns them and its for their personal consumption, not for the market.

basicly coffee contain acid, and carcoal is base, so when you mix it together like so the carcoal going to neutralize the acid in the coffee.

om martin lain kali kalau minum minuman panas yang pakai piring kecil, itu tumpahkan saja sedikit minumannya di piring itu sampai penuh, terus kita minum dari piring itu. lakukan lagi sampai minumannya tidak terlalu panas dan bisa diminum secara biasa. Itu cara kampung saya , hehe

I believe that it's true that kopi joss charcoal is made from special wood, because in other cities in Indonesia you can't find kopi joss, only in Jogjakarta, and Jogjakartans are well known with their honesty, friendly and integrity..that's why many people from other cities in Indonesia love Jogjakarta

Same food can have different prices depend on the size of the fish/crab/squid. That's why they don't write the prices in the menus. In the street it's often wise to ask the range of the prices to avoid rip off.
I lived in Yogyakarta for five years. It is so regrettably I never try it. Next time, I want to try it when I come to Yogyakarta.

Dari Jepara jawa tengah...yang terkenal dengan ukiran khas jepara juga banyak tempat2 wisata serta kulinernya...bisa di coba
hati2 makan di daerah tempat makan situ pak martin, sudah banyak kasus wisatawan yg tertipu karena mereka biasa memainkan harganya

itu uda murah apa lagi makan udang ayam kampung 5 orang' 105 itu murah pakek bingitz.....
Hitungannya termasuk agak mahal, untuk Udang 1 porsi 55ribu (entah 1 atau 2 ya?), ayam kampung 1 porsi 24ribu, etc sampai harganya 105ribu. Kalo dilihat dari tagihannya sih yang makan cuma Sarah, Pak Martin & Seth.
Mungkin semua makan om.... tpi blum jadi ...mungkin aj tnya aj ke pk mrtin

2 strong from pak Martin, kebanyakan di aceh minum kopi tubruk seperti itu, hanya biji kopi yg digonseng tanpa tambahan, digiling lalu diseduh dengan sedikit gula, bahkan ada yg tanpa gula tapi tanpa Charcoal/arang.... tapi tetap STROOOOONG

Ayam kampung is actually a different variety compared to typical mass-grown chickens. They are scrawny and have tougher meat. Instead of fried, better used for opor ayam, because their unique taste is more apparent.

Hahaa... Kopi Joss.. One of my must-visit-place when I'm traveling to Jogja. My favorite Kopi Joss is 'Kopi Jos Lik Man' it's actually across the 'warung Kopi Jos' in your video, Mr Martin. They said that 'Kopi Jos Lik Man' is the original Kopi Jos, the very first Kopi Jos in Jogja. #cmiiw
bedanya ayam kampung dengan ayam potong di Indonesia adalah jika ayam potong itu sebenarnya adalah ayam berumur 1 bulan pak martin, mereka cepat besar dengan obat yang mempercepat pertumbuhan mereka, dan yg menarik dari ayam potong, jika pak martin pergi ke peternakan ayam potong, lalu ada yg menyalakan petasan dekat kandang, PASTI ayam 1 kandang mati karena serangan jantung, karena jantung ayam potong sangat lemah karena memang ayam umur skitar 1 bulan yg di paksa besar. kalau ayam kampung adalah ayam dengan pertumbuhan alami dan tentu itu membuat semakin mahal karena di indonesia makanan favorit adalah ayam.

ayam kampung is not necessarily village chicken so don't worry about their eating trash. more appropriate term for the mix breed would be free range, non-broiler chicken. they're healthier than regular broiler chicken because they're not treated with antibiotics or any fattening chemical. :D

Tapi kopi joss yg terkenal&pertama kali nya bukan di tempat itu sama2 dekat tugu sih,namanya warung LEK MAN dia pakia arang jenis kayu sambi dan merk kopi nya "Murni" . Gerobaknya juga lebih trlihat jadul/unik kayak pikulan krn jaman dahulu kala lek man memikul. belum afdol kalau belum kesitu pak. Kasian anak2 jadi ngiler pengen ngicip kopi joss,kan gak masalah kalau cuma sedikit 1/2 sendok aja gak bakal bikin sakit .
pas mau mbayar udang malah aku yg deg2an kirain bakal dihargai 500 ribu (kl penjual nakal) :-p

"village chicken" in my village eats everything they find on their way. Ranging from seeds, small insects, fruits, etc. Compared to "cut chicken" (ayam potong, pun intended) which usually only eat "katul', they taste better. And have less grease. Much less. I think that's why they cost more ;)
maybe u wanna try susu shi jack in surakarta. it's fresh milk store. usually they do some cool trick for making a milk drink. and that's cool. it's maybe take 4,5 hours from jogja.
