I bought this for my GFs build when it came out years ago. I think I paid something like £135 new for it. It was great, but I wouldn't buy one used for even half that these days. The 12100f is less than £95, so it just doesn't make sense unless you already have an old mobo in the wings for it.

Got one yesterday for 50€. I had a Z370 mini ITX mobo lying around. Do you think that a Be Quiet! Dark Rock 4 is enough to OC this chip, or should I go for an AIO?
i have been looking for confirmation that this CPU is causing me issues and here it is. the cyberpunk 2077 bench results are nowhere near what im getting (i have an rtx 3060ti,16 GB of DDR4, an SSD) min 73 frames would be my max. i do not know why its being so bad, there is no thermal throttling going on. Worse of all the good upgrade options that dont require a new motherboard are all hardly available in my country.
I have a quad core and is not enough for cpu demanding games like Battlefield. Also even for the games that is enough if i open a discord or something else too, the usage goes to 100%.
Hello, i have the same CPU running with rtx 3060 and 16GB ram but in all of my games and from the ones in the video such as Overwatch and CSGO im getting half the FPS number and the CPU is almost constantly running at 100% in game. Games like PUBG are unplayble on it, sometimes getting 20 fps or even 1 frame per a few seconds. I tried what reddit told me to do and that was display driver unnistaller and install GPU drivers all over but it didnt work. I have no idea whats causing the CPU to perform so badly. Perhaps you might have a tip for me...
That’s very strange; I would recommend a full OS reinstall, but if you don’t want to do that then your thermal paste may be dry, your cooler could be mounted improperly, or even failing if you have a water cooler.
Hi I don't if you able to answer me but yeah, so the other day I asked my self what my cellphone cpu is equivalent to desktop cpu and if I compare the snapdragon 888 vs i3-8350k and there pretty close so let's imagine we can install windows on phone and play desktop game will the snapdragon 888 perform similar to the i3-8350k ?

Saw your 9600k have one from 2020 build ($200 ish) my earlier chip was a skylake i5 quad core though.

It could be the 3060 that's causing the bottle neck. I would either change the cpu or get a lower card for better optimization.

No it wouldn’t, however I see what you’re saying! Unfortunately, the Snapdragon 888 is an ARM chip, so the performance would be different
U should try it with overclocked ram
I will have to try! I have multiple kits that are capable of higher speeds, I have just been turned off thus far due to instability :/

The Intel 8th Gen will slot in without a BIOS update, while the 9th Gen will also slot in after a bios update using your i3-8350k!
