The owners of the Garden Tomb property have made extensive changes to it. Some of the archeological research of the Garden Tomb area has been ignored, and some of it possibly purposely covered up by the European owners of this property. I inquired in person there in 2017 about some of this research and was told that they had no knowledge of anyone's research in the years previous to my visit. Anyone visiting there should note that there are niches carved into the original stone wall behind a new seating area some yards toward the bus station. It has been said that these niches were where the signs telling of who was crucified were placed above the crosses. An archeological dig was done some years ago that found square socket holes carved into the stone floor approx. 12 ft. below ground level. This would have been along a road leading out of the City where all could see who passed by. (as was the Roman's practice) I believe that this could indeed be the place the Bible speaks of.
Yes the site is amazing. When I was there I was appalled that the Muslims built a graveyard so close above the site of Golgotha… they just can’t stay out of other peoples spaces,ugh. Keep your eye on this.

Jesus is coming again to take all believers to heaven and then the Great Tribulation will destroy much of the earth. But after seven years He will come to earth with all the saints and rule and reign for a thousand years and then there will be a new heaven and earth. So now all things are temporary reminders. Thank you for letting me revisit the tomb. We were there in fall of 2019 and visited the tomb and skull. Very moving to think of our Savior laying in the tomb three days, decending to set the captives free and arising the third day to ascend to heaven. The attonement for our sins... Praise God from Whom all blessings come...
My first visit to the Garden Tomb was very emotional. When I went in I sat down on a bench under a tree and began to weep like a baby. The LOVE pouring down upon me was overwhelming. Wrapped in a blanket of LOVE, I wiped my tears and made my way through the various parts of the Garden. What JOY!. This is the TRUE place where Jesus Body was laid. I've been to Israel 4 times, stay 3 months, and stay at a hostel just down the street from the Walled City. 1 month in Tel Aviv, 1 in Jerusalem, 1 in Eilot to dive and hang out. JUST GO, stay at hostels, eat local, ride the busses. It's cheap to take a bus from Tel Aviv or Jerusalem to Eilot , maybe $12 usd. Flying is cheap but they moved the airport, where you use to fly in and walk to your hostel or take the bus to stay not near the beach. Go to see Petra in Jordan on a tour. Tour taxi takes you to the border, up to the border gates, where you cross over and get on a Jordan tour bus. Tours come with stops at a pottery market high up in the mountain on the way to Petra, and a great meal in the small town just outside the historical place of Petra. JUST GO, NO FEAR, GO ALONE OR TAKE AN ADVENTUROUS FRIEND. ALOHA FROM HAWAII.

I'm 70...when I was a girl, the skull features were much more pronounced. I don't imagine that the 'bus exhaust' is helping much...just important to know that when Jesus is 'IN YOUR HEART' you are beyond sin and now communing w/him. Merry Christmas. Ron found the true crucifixion site. There were holes for the crosses, stoning places, right along the Roman road, which corroborated with historical evidence of other crucifixion sites. To be on top, away from the road, you wouldn’t be able walk by and see the sign they hung on the cross.

I am 100% Christian. But there just is not enough evidence to support either the Garden Tomb or the Holy Sepulchre being Jesus's tomb. And I believe if Jesus Himself were asked, He would say it doesn't matter. His teachings and message were more important than physical places or objects.

Thank you for letting me revisit the tomb. We were there in fall of 2019 and visited the tomb and skull. Very moving to think of our Savior laying in the tomb three days, decending to set the captives free and arising the third day to ascend to heaven. The attonement for our sins...

My first visit to the Garden Tomb was very emotional. When I went in I sat down on a bench under a tree and began to weep like a baby. The LOVE pouring down upon me was overwhelming. Wrapped in a blanket of LOVE, I wiped my tears and made my way through the various parts of the Garden. What JOY!. This is the TRUE place where Jesus Body was laid. I've been to Israel 4 times, stay 3 months, and stay at a hostel just down the street from the Walled City. 1 month in Tel Aviv, 1 in Jerusalem, 1 in Eilot to dive and hang out. JUST GO, stay at hostels, eat local, ride the busses. It's cheap to take a bus from Tel Aviv or Jerusalem to Eilot , maybe $12 usd. Flying is cheap but they moved the airport, where you use to fly in and walk to your hostel or take the bus to stay not near the beach. Go to see Petra in Jordan on a tour. Tour taxi takes you to the border, up to the border gates, where you cross over and get on a Jordan tour bus. Tours come with stops at a pottery market high up in the mountain on the way to Petra, and a great meal in the small town just outside the historical place of Petra. JUST GO, NO FEAR, GO ALONE OR TAKE AN ADVENTUROUS FRIEND. ALOHA FROM HAWAII.

I'm 70...when I was a girl, the skull features were much more pronounced. Even when Ron Wyatt (and I watched) excavated, he was able to pull out the '' stone plugs'' where the crosses went. There were 3 of them. Ron found the true crucifixion site. There were holes for the crosses, stoning places, right along the Roman road, which corroborated with historical evidence of other crucifixion sites. To be on top, away from the road, you wouldn’t be able walk by and see the sign they hung on the cross.

Ron was an awesome person and did a lot for Biblical Archaeology. I wish more of his work and finds got the credit they deserve.
I was there some years ago and it moved me so, I find myself crying again remembering that moment and reflecting on what Jesus did for me. The Garden Tomb defies all scientific logic to be the supposed tomb of Jesus.
It could help one to get a picture of what would an ancient tomb be like, but in no way that place is holy

I am 100% Christian. But there just is not enough evidence to support either the Garden Tomb or the Holy Sepulchre being Jesus's tomb. And I believe if Jesus Himself were asked, He would say it doesn't matter. His teachings and message were more important than physical places or objects.

I've been blesses by God to get the chance of visiting Israel in May 2022 with my Church group on a Pilgrimage I will never forget. I remember visiting Jesus Burial Place.
