At one point in this galaxy, the inhabitants used Mecho-organic vessels to wage war until one such group in a last ditch effort to spite their enemy unleashed a Plague Bomb on the opposing factions homeworld, instantly killing off everyone on the planet... but the Plague itself can spread on a galactic scale that eventually sterilized all organic life in that galaxy. I wonder how recent intergalactic travel is in Star Wars relative to the Battle of Yavin. Obviously, intragalactic travel had existed for tens of thousands, and I think over a hundred thousand years by that point. But, given that there was some very limited contact between the main galaxy and others- and the noticeable uptick of extragalactic contacts and invaders after the events of Episode 6- it begs the question of when the first extragalactic contact was made, and how long travel between the nearby cluster of galaxies takes (nearby being a relative term). I also find it interesting that during all this, there's still essentially an entire section of the galaxy (that being the Unknown Regions), what seems to be a fourth to a third of it, that remains almost entirely unexplored. And, further yet, probably a sizable amount of the Outer Rim that is poorly if at all charted at the extreme fringes of the galaxy and beyond. And none of that at all takes into account the depths of deep space, all of that assumingely open area that lies between known and inhabited solar systems, nebula, gas clouds and other major galactic features that were easy to initially spot and discover during the earliest days of space flight, exploration and hyperspace travel. Who's knows what's out there? It could be anything from starless rogue planets that telescopes- or whatever sensors they use- can barely spot, to dark gas clouds or asteroid fields around dead, lightless stars, or something entirely different, like some sentient, advanced race from the depths of space living in artificial worlds that are hard to detect. I'd love to see a video on the topics above that explore whatever available media has been written about them.
I just realized something. The English word for "alphabet" is named after the first two letters of the Greek alphabet (Alpha and Beta) In star wars, their alphabet is called Aurebesh, which is based off the first two letters of Aurebesh, Aurek and Besh. Pretty neat, huh?
The Rishi Maze is also home to some interesting tech. In SWTOR, as part of the Rishi Inquisitor storyline you end up receiving the benefits of some technology (which reverses aging) whose schematics are broadcast from that area. The technology is said to be EXTREMELY advanced, and is said to have elements of ancient Sith, ancient Gree, and Rakatan technologies. It's possible that an early coalition of these empires populated the Rishi maze, but were cut off from the rest of the galaxy somehow, or one of the species (and it really could have been any of them) simply captured and adapted some of this tech.
Most of the stories really are rather boring, but I highly recommend doing at least the first three chapters (aka the main story) for the Inquisitor, the Knight, and the agent as all are both interesting and extremely informative. Also that much of the game is free.
I had no idea that the Nagai were from a satellite galaxy. Their homeworld is called Nagi, one of their most prominent individuals is Darth Nihl from the Legacy Era.
Jakob Weimann yeah where they blindly fly into a nebula cloud or something and they find the steam punk themed universe with the hovering mostly mechanical Jedi who ends up sacrificing himself in the end
Love these vids about the galaxies and planets. I'm a Star Trek fan, and love Star Wars very, very much as well; but, these vids definitely appeal to my Star Trek side, I think. :)
The closet in-universe name for the that galaxy is "Skyriver" which was used by the extra-galactic Nagai. Other than that, the inhabitants of that galaxy simply refer to it as "the galaxy".
I never knew what the local group looked like in Star Wars, but after seeing this video, it looks a LOT like our own local group (three spiral galaxies and countless dwarves). Technically all galaxies are "far, far away", so it sounds like it's set in Andromeda (no idea what it's called in-universe). It is a bit small though, with about half the stars Andromeda is supposed to have.
Tops mate! You alone seem to understand this maze of insanity along with me and our friends I'm really glad you're here. Let me know if you need anything boss
Story element idea!: So to explain why there’s humans, (Suuuuuper elaborate) There are humans in another nearby galaxy- those humans are pretty advanced- at some point they had a war with the galaxy which is the setting of whatever story- this galaxy stole earth with some sort of tech- Earth is somehwere in this galaxy known to some but not all humans- it’s not important weather they know or not- this is how there are humans in the galaxy but not a major force but are involved in said empire- the galaxy with advanced humans arent able to locate earth in other galaxy so they pretty much cut their loss.
I really do hope they explore different galaxies to show the progression of the main galaxy and its technology. Maybe that's where Snoke comes from, another galaxy. He could be from a race that unlike humans in the main galaxy, that progresses through spirituality rather than technology. They could be a modern canon version of the Sith species.....but not as evil.
Does anyone else think the yuuzhan vong came from the rishi maze, cuz the rishi maze is pretty empty and they've been screwing around in the outer rim and unknown regions for a couple thousand years, kinda makes me think the came from somewhere close.
I can't believe you have to explain the difference between galaxy, universe, solar system etc. That is beyond depressing that there are adults who don't already know... saddens me. Come on people. Educate yourselves!!!
notfittolive kill me Technically there is only one solar system in existence, ours. It refers to our star, Sol. Any star with planets and other bodies revolving around it is called a star system.
problem is its not even like understanding physics this is beyond basic, i mean its even logical but hey we live in an age of basic ignorance even with all the information out there.
Ryan Thomason you are completely incorrect. The definition of a solar system (Cambridge Dictionary): the sun and the group of planets and satellites orbit around it due to gravitational attraction, or a similar system somewhere else in the universe. Solar systems can also be referred to as planetary systems. A star system, also called a stellar system, is a small number of stars that orbit each other, bound by gravitational attraction. A large amount of stars would be called either star cluster, or a dwarf galaxy (or galaxy, depending on it’s size). But all galaxies are star systems. You might want to do a little more reading before you try to act smarter than others.

The Vong were force sensitive but after going out of control their living planet which was a force "hotspot" rejected their ability to use the force all together and died which caused them to rage and invade the main galaxy it is also said a mission green lit by Yoda hundreds of years before the fall of the latest Jedi council, sent over 400 Jedi and their families on a expedition to the andromeda galaxy on the far side of the Vong's unnamed galaxy and as we all know our galaxy was on the other side of Andromeda, and is meant to be part of the Starwars universe only we got the entertainment they got to live it... you need to research this topic more to get the key facts to build up interest because all that I just listed is old canon in the Starwars EU

The Mandalore Canderous Ordo reported to have made contact with an extra galactic entity around the time of the Mandalorian War
Dwarf galaxies, just like in this universe 🌀🚀👽🌌
Ah good old Firefist
the vong or however you spell it, they look like falmer from skyrim especially the armor to lol
To me, they look like a blend of the Urak-Hai from Lord of the Rings & the Falmer from Skyrim.
Agh! That intro! It burns us!
Aw Ecks it's cool to see how much you have your channel have grown since is video , keep up the good work
Dark empire comics I know there was like a sort of parallel dimension??
Lycan645 really? i read dark empire and dont remember a mention of another dimension
Jakob Weimann yeah where they blindly fly into a nebula cloud or something and they find the steam punk themed universe with the hovering mostly mechanical Jedi who ends up sacrificing himself in the end
hmm guess i'll have to re read them. I remember it just being deeper in the galaxy, but it has been a while.
They really need to make new movies and shows that expand into different galaxies and worlds
Cool video by the way. Good job
It would be cool if we got more stories about the other galaxies in the future. Maybe a comic series.
oooo this old intro hits diffy! need to bring it back
Love these vids about the galaxies and planets. I'm a Star Trek fan, and love Star Wars very, very much as well; but, these vids definitely appeal to my Star Trek side, I think. :)
HAI RISHI MAZE WITH ANOUTHER NEW AND EXCITING TRADE
what is the name of the star wars galaxy
The closet in-universe name for the that galaxy is "Skyriver" which was used by the extra-galactic Nagai. Other than that, the inhabitants of that galaxy simply refer to it as "the galaxy".
I never knew what the local group looked like in Star Wars, but after seeing this video, it looks a LOT like our own local group (three spiral galaxies and countless dwarves). Technically all galaxies are "far, far away", so it sounds like it's set in Andromeda (no idea what it's called in-universe). It is a bit small though, with about half the stars Andromeda is supposed to have.
also you need homeworld 2 to run it
they must have been swag-lords. only swag-lords and princesses use chrome ships
Spongetron: “Everything’s chrome in the future!”
Tops mate! You alone seem to understand this maze of insanity along with me and our friends I'm really glad you're here. Let me know if you need anything boss
The star wars galaxy is called Skyriver (SPOILER ALERT or not,)
Story element idea!: So to explain why there’s humans, (Suuuuuper elaborate) There are humans in another nearby galaxy- those humans are pretty advanced- at some point they had a war with the galaxy which is the setting of whatever story- this galaxy stole earth with some sort of tech- Earth is somehwere in this galaxy known to some but not all humans- it’s not important weather they know or not- this is how there are humans in the galaxy but not a major force but are involved in said empire- the galaxy with advanced humans arent able to locate earth in other galaxy so they pretty much cut their loss.
We miss this song
good work
How did star war people know what their galaxy looks like if they aren't able to get through the unknown energy barrier in the border of their galaxy?
There was one sort of cross over comic where Han dies and chewy ends up on earth where Indiana Jones tries to find him
I would love to see a new Star Wars saga that takes place in a different galaxy. It could be a fresh start for Disney.
You have a bit of a personal scientific misunderstanding of companion/satellite/miniature galaxies but otherwise great video
If the Rebels spread the word of Alderaan's destruction to the other galaxies the war would have ended much quicker.
E.T. race is in legends, they're called asogians and one of them even hired Luke to be a pilot once
You should do a video on each of the glaxies
Can someone leave a link to the first one plz I can't find it
Loved it! why did the stream end last night?
I think it was last night... on clash royale :) You ended after the smash or pass on grievous xD I'll check out discord!
Does anyone else think the yuuzhan vong came from the rishi maze, cuz the rishi maze is pretty empty and they've been screwing around in the outer rim and unknown regions for a couple thousand years, kinda makes me think the came from somewhere close.
I love the intro ❤️🔝
Great video! Surprised you don't have many subscribers. I just added to that amount though.
Any star with planets and other bodies revolving around it is called a star system.
notfittolive kill me Maybe a kid is watching.
kid movies dont normally feature dead kids being slaughtered and evil authoritarian emperors blowing up planets
problem is its not even like understanding physics this is beyond basic, i mean its even logical but hey we live in an age of basic ignorance even with all the information out there.
No one:
The Vong: it’s free real-estate
"briefly Alderaan" Me: "OHHH SHIIIT
I like to think the Star Wars and Yuuzhan Vong galaxies are the Star Wars equivalents of the Milky Way and Andromeda Galaxies IRL.
Damn, eck from 3 years ago really thought people wouldn't know what solar systems galaxies and the universe are
You know what, maybe cutting the EU wasn't a terrible idea for certain things...
+Loudsoda oh yeah let's scrap the good stuff and give the fans helicopter lightsabers, Hutt clone troopers, hyperspace ramming, Forces Of Destiny, space whales etc. Brilliant!
I wonder which galaxy they travel to in Ahsoka it was really interesting
I subscribed because of your video thumbnails.
Lue Liv FairyBreeder Mistwalker
What are your sources for this?
Lue Liv FairyBreeder Mistwalker source?
Lol seing you today and back when you did this video is like comparing water and oil lol
I thought Kamino was within the Rishii maze...
It's halfway to the rishi maze
so the Star Wars galaxy is big enough to have two orbiting galaxy moons yep makes since
Matchstick 7886 our galaxy has several satellite galaxies, so it's gotta be a comparable size to the Milky Way
L Plunk yeah I know learned about it after I made the comment and no the Star Wars galaxy has probably over a billion habitable planets its most likely much much bigger than our own
Matchstick 7886 it could be, it's been a while since I read any of the books. Thanks for answering and have a good night
Matchstick 7886 think it's about 80,000 light years larger than ours. No biggie
@@elichalfant941 it's 120,000 light years our galaxy is 100,000
There's 9 galaxies!? Damn, I can't even nerd right...
1:15 you savage 🤣 😂
1:36 Did you hear that!?
Bad Bob very funnt
funny
Lol, “briefly Anakin”. Savagery
This video is great
Nagai almost sounds like Saiyans. Minus the grey skin and thin frames
Makes me wonder how many people actually made it to those seven other galaxies…
