From where you got off your bus nearbye Edinburgh St Andrew square bus station you then should have asked someone
the way to the Royal Mile or to the Bridges in which you would walk across as this takes you to to the Royal Mile
then this street also known as the High Street --> Takes you straight up to Edinburgh castle and much more to view on route . Also good to view the Old town and architecture in which is another direction . Awe the best 👍

From Saint Andrew's square bus station, we just walked straight and asked many people until we reached the Edinburgh Castle. There were many amazing views on route. I remember we passed by busy Princes Street and took us long. We almost lost on our way back to Saint Andrew square bus station. Now I know. Thanks for the info and I appreciate your comment.
