    Interesting flight, but you should NOT take-off with bleed air on. This is to ensure full power is available in case of an engine failure on take-off. Also did you use any flap for the landing in NZQN?

    I have my sights fixed on this now. Good work, Jon.
    And as for the weather being broke, it’s more the case that the skies over the Southern Hemisphere are that way. I lived in Manjimup WA for a while and it used to feel as though a big blue glass bowl was over my head. There wouldn’t be a cloud in sight for days.

      @@jonbeckett oh I can assure you we have many days where there isn't a cloud in the sky. I live at NZWB and even in the middle of winter we can have perfectly clear skies for weeks....bloody cold, but zero clouds. Great place to live and fly! 😎
      You sound British thou, so I can understand how you would think no clouds in the sky would be unrealistic, and a little scary lol 😁

    Thanks for showing off this quality product. The question, however, is this.... Do I have such hatred for the abhorrent default glass cockpit of this plane that I want to spend $40 to abolish it and allow me to use my $75 PMS50 lifetime GTN 750 mixed in with the gorgeous steam gauges? | must say, it's quite tempting. But OTOH, I hardly fly the B350 at all anyway. Part of this is the abhorrent stock panel, but is it $40 of the cause? No, there are other reasons. As a real life rampie, I hate this plane because its designer quite obviously hated rampies, as evidenced by sseveral design choices so painful to us that they cannot have been made out of sheer ignorance. No, malicious intent is clearly evident. Second, my FSE life does not involve this plane. 3rd, I find this plane rather annoying from the pilot's seat--it's like being a mule wearing blinders because you can only really see straight ahead due to the placement of the engines. And, finally, it needs a rather long runway compared to various alternatives, which limits its utility in sketchy businesses. So yeah, even if I changed out the abhorrent stock panel for these wonderful steam gauges, I still wouldn't fly this plane enough to get my $40's worth from it.

      I only paid $20. I had some discount from previous purchases, and because I bought the Caravan, I got another 20% off.

    Sorry to say, but this was a waste of my time. I come here to learn about flying this aircraft, but the procedures are a joke, theres no explination about systems and whats even worse, Black Square makes this beautiful analog aircraft and instead of demonstrating the wonderful work they did, you put in another digital screen and neglect all the navigation tools this addon is about. All in all, the only thing I learned from this video, is that I wasted another hour of my life. This didnt help me to understand even a little more about flying this aircraft at all.

      In no place does it say this is a tutorial, or a guide. I have however done several videos in the past looking at various aspects of the aircraft. www.youtube.com/@jonbeckett/search?query=analogue%20king%20air

    How did you get the GTN750 to work? My display is blank and just flight have told me this is a bug, yet you have it working. I have installed the PMS50 into the community folder but still blank screen. If you have trick I would appreciate any help. Cheers.

      The PMS GTN 750 got caught be a Windows Update. Go to PMS and re-download it. There's a huge banner on their website about it.

      Thanks Johnathan I’ve already done that but no success. Black square just released V1.2 and still no success. When I contacted Just Flight they said they were working on a fix but you obviously have it working.
      I’ve even reformatted my SSD and reloaded MSFS. Not sure why I can’t get it to work. Cheers

      I also have the Analog Caravan and the GTN750 works fine.
      Really doesn’t make any sense when they both use the same file installed in the same folder.

    The only thing that bothers me about the Analog King Air is that I don't think it's based on a real model. It's more of a fantasy plane.

    • @jonbeckett

      It's so configurable inside though, that you can make it into all manner of different load-outs.

      @@jonbeckett Right! I am obsessed with the Black Square Caravan overhaul, so no doubt I will be picking up the King Air. It's just that there were actual steam gauge models of the Caravan, whereas there supposedly weren't for the King Air. Just a small niggling thing.

    • @GumperVanLier
      @GumperVanLier Год назад +6

      Yes, this is based on a real model. Check youtube and you can find a 350 just like this simulation. Also, Into the Blue Simulations had a real king air pilot on his video testing out this add-on and he says it's very accurate. Two things he mentioned was the taxiing is not real. It should not pick up speed like it does and if the throttle is in the area below idle, it should taxi properly. Otherwise, you wear out the brakes. The King Air in MSFS has always been difficult to taxi. I wish Black Square would fix that. The pilot also said, although not bad, the sound is not right. It's probably Asobo's default sound. Anyway, my 2 cents worth. I'm enjoying this add-on and Jonathan's videos.

      @@GumperVanLier I’ve always felt the wheel roll in MSFS isn’t realistic. I’ve sat in the cockpit of an airplane the size of this and the roll out and takeoff felt all different.

    • @markscars1069
      @markscars1069 Год назад +1

      There are myriad different 350i models in terms of how the flight decks evolve as owners improve them (and this mod demonstrates at least part of that), but Black Square’s version is absolutely accurate. I can personally vouch for this as I’ve been in one or two down the years.
