Watching this on my Poco F4
I had the Poco F3 for nearly 9 months last year. I only had one minor MIUI update and two security updates within that period. In 2021 for a mid-range phone that is not good enough. I didn't even have a single update for the cameras.
I have submitted almost 20 issues and complaints about my Poco F3 via the phone but only received 5 responses which did not help with my confidence.
Planning on buying the Poco F4 or the Redmi Note 11 Pro+. The issues and suggestions I gave you previously are mostly based on the various reviews I have seen online. Make note...9 out of 10 of the reviewers I've seen have had the same consistent issues with the F4. That for me is telling something.
Based on the specs the Poco F4 seems a mixed bag of 70% upgrade and 30% downgrade or simply kept the same specs as the Poco F3 including the chipset.
So, I want to tell you something directly...as someone who owned Xiaomi and Poco phones in the past 2 years (and Android phones in the past 13 years) we will need more consistency in pushing security updates (monthly or bi-monthly at best and not quarterly) and seriousness in camera and general performance enhancement updates via OTA or ROMS based on user feedback via your Forums or online and less ads on devices.
Issues such as the non-stop focus hunting (main camera - all modes), poor low light photos (all cameras - all modes) for the F4 are issues that have yet to be addressed by yourselves.
There are competitions everywhere and the only way to stay ahead is by giving us devices with good value for money for their specs (which you have done so far) but also updates, updates, updates. And deals and discounts such as Black Friday, Easter, Summer and New Year Sales.
A Trade-in scheme for older Xiaomi, Redmi, Poco phones would bring in a massive influx of buyers as well. This is both good for the buyer but good for yourselves and the environment too.
I do not want to keep repeating myself and telling you what to do. Because you can do it. Very little improvements have happened since re my suggestions. I think it is time to change all of that. PLS MAKE IT SO. Cheers.

@@TechNomadUK1 By design custom roms are open source, the code is not private, so they are in fact safer than Miui or any other manufacturer's rom. You'll find videos and guides on how to proceed on RUclips. There are also telegram channel that report any new rom or update for a phone (i have poco x3 pro, dual boot windows and custom rom)
@@Jbrimbelibap How about GCam? I've heard there are loads of versions for the Poco F3 & F4. And how would I know which one is better than the other?
@@TechNomadUK1 by trying them out or watching stuff on RUclips, same. You can try Gcam on miui beforehand

The phone is great and i bought it already but tbh the unboxing video way too late and so cringe 🤣
And the software is always crap, always has wrong translations, please more effort on software not only hardware!🤷🏻♂️
