I recently just worked on my weight. I used to be chubby, not even fat and I never liked it. I consciously decided to work out and diet. Now I'm not thin but wouldn't be called chubby either . I look at myself everyday and feel gorgeous! I get comments like " you're losing weight it's not good" but I feel gorgeous and so don't care. I believe if you genuinely love you regardless of your size, provided it's not affecting your health. It's all good.

Wow!! Funny thing is, I even had this exact conversation with my mom recently.. The point is you will first have to love yourself enough!! If u intend to loose weight, make sure you are doing it for the right reasons, do it because that's what you want to do , don't do it because you want the "society" to accept you!!
I remember when I was still in primary school, I think at the age of 9/10 years, my elder brother was like" you are fat , stop eating, blah blah, now he might not have meant it in a bad way but the way he said it had a long time effect on me.. as young as I was then, I slowly began to hate myself, I disliked everything about me, I withdrew from people entirely, it got to a point where I started taking Lipton tea and I would boil like 10 pieces or more of it and put in a flask, I was taking it morning, afternoon, night and in large quantities, I stopped eating and would always throw away food that momsi dishes out for me and eventually I landed in the hospital, apparently I fainted and all of that !! I became very unhappy, gradually this feeling ate me up even up to my secondary school and university days, I have never felt good about myself and guess what, suicidial thoughts came in!! I attempted suicide a couple of times kos each time I see slim people, I get intimidated, I felt like I had a problem and that I'm not supposed to here.. how I survived this, I still don't understand but the first was ACCEPTING AND LOVING MYSELF and I have made CONSCIOUS EFFORTS to stay healthy and fit!
You are awemazing and you are loved irrespective of what people's opinion about you may be !!! ❤❤

God bless you Nedu and the rest of the crew for wonderful contents. Body shaming should be frowned upon in every form. However, we should be aware of the health dangers of being obese. Their is a reason why some life insurance policies contains details of weight and height. Obesity is associated with an increased risk of developing cardiovascular disease (CVD), particularly heart failure (HF) and coronary heart disease (CHD) which is the number 1 killer for women. It benefits you before any other person to maintain a healthy weight. God bless

First off, sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt. Adjectives are descriptive words. And that's just that. Banters are banters and are mere words, they don't kill. What we should be advocating is, to develope ourselves mentally and psychological to weather any situation. Self acknowledgement and not acceptance is very important. Acknowledgments will help you choose what to accept and what not to accept. In choosing a spouse, know what you want and what you could tolerate before marriage. Acknowledge your reality and assess what you can do it. With relation to sex, sex can be rough and nasty. But should never be dirty or gross. Make una no surprise if man wey dey leak woman blood dey use am do juju

Nice topic. Truth is this has been there even before civilisation. Clinically there is healthy weight and obesity. It's not about body shaming.
If you are in a particular height as a female or male there is a certain weight required. It's not body shaming, it's not about he is fat and flexible. Certain weight goes with certain disease, period.
    Stay healthy guys.

About "Body shaming" and "Mental Health" issues. Asides people that have life and death battles and the ones that were born with some disablity, I honestly feel we all need to tell ourselves the truth. We can build mental strength. The questions are "Why are you pressured to look a certain way? "Who dey tension you?" The point should be, how to build confidence to the point that there's nothing anyone will say that will affect you. Well... There are people that ate themselves to obesity and tell you they're depressed. They should actually hit the gym... There are consequeces for actions. But there's always a chance to fix your mess. But In all, let's be nice and polite to everyone. Especially If you don't know the person.

The phrase "Love is not enough" Is a widely spread phrase that I feel is wrong. (I recommend It should be a topic) Maybe the word there shouldn't be "Love" It can be "emotional attachment" or "the butterflies" or something. Because I feel many people have the wrong perception about the word. Breaking news, Love is a beautiful thing but It's not always beautiful. Love is sweet but It's also sacrifice. Love is giving. Look, you can't claim to love me expecting only the exciting things in a relationship, I can't claim to love you and I'm not ready to commit to you. I man cannot say he truly loves his wife and let her starve or turn her to a slave or beat her up. A woman cannot claim to love a man when she's there when he's rich and runs away when he's struggling. Love is commitment, It's understanding, It's acceptance, It's reasonable, It's compromise, It's honest, It's teachable... It's all encompasing. Finally Love is actually all you need. The question will be... Do you actually love this person to the point that you can give your life for that person? Typical example; Love from mother to child. That's natural and undiluted. Asides the natural one we can't control, for you to claim you truly love someone, It has to grow from somewhere. This is my view on love... The honest bunch can talk about it If they want, any other person with a different perception can share his/her view, I'm open to learn. But please o. It's NOT an arugument that "I MUST WIN"... So leggo.

During a woman's period, menstrual blood will contain mucus lining, bacteria, and uterine tissue. When drinking any blood, if it's disease-free, a small amount will not cause damage. But consuming more than a few teaspoons puts you at risk of iron overload, a potentially deadly condition called hemachromotosis.
