Georgina is a nature photographer with a passion for birds, ethics and conservation. Her interest in photography became a passion over ten years ago when she began volunteer work with BirdLife WA. Since then, she has been working to produce images for use by conservation organisations across Australia, as well as teaching the art and ethics of bird photography through workshops, talks and articles.
She has won numerous awards, including winning the Invertebrates: Behaviour category in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2018, Bird Photographer of the Year (Creative) and the Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year 2016 (Portfolio Prize), among others.

I have been stalk..., ummm, following Georgina Steytler Photography on Instagram for quite a while now. I simply love her bird photography and was so excited when she agreed to share her knowledge and passion with the group.

Introducing the Lockdown Photography Group

The Lockdown 21 photography sessions are a combination of amazing photographers presenting their work, skills workshops, Q&A's, interviews, etc. I'd like to offer my skills as well as bring together other talented people to see how we can improve our photography and be inspired.
So how does it work:
Every weekday we will have a live-streamed session where an amazing photographer will present their work and offer hints and tips for their particular genre.
All you need to do is have the Lockdown Photography Group Facebook page open and you can join us.
I would love to have you join us and we can all come out of this richer for the experience and hopefully forming lifelong friendships which we can count on in the future.

Been following Georgina for a couple of months. Love her inspirational work, passion and ethical approach. I’m a beginner and have just purchased my first manual digital camera. Thank you for your insights, enthusiasm and guidance in this discussion. I’m off now to practice and learn the technical aspects of the exposure triangle! Hopefully I will quickly learn the rules, so that I can then break them!
