Hi there! I decided to use this system based on your amazing review. What type and size screws did you use for the suspension rail? I was surprised the hardware didn’t come with it.
Hi!! So glad you decided to try this out! I was definitely surprised by that as well but completely forgot about it by the time I edited the video. I used left over screws I had from another project. I believe they were size #8 with at least a 1” thread. Hope this helps ☺️
I love watching closet makeovers by homeowners. It’s amazing how many different configurations that can be imagined, just according to need and imagination.
I love the editing and effort put into this video. Thank you for properly showing us how to remove the nails while limiting damage. Very useful for rental friendly DIYS 😩
I love that idea! Someone here said they did it in their closet too. I like the look of the clean lines in my closet, but I’ll probably use the pulls elsewhere in the future.
Very helpful. I have been thinking just like you - I keep looking at closet systems then checking the price and “nope.” This system seems affordable and doable. Thanks for posting. ☺️
I’m so glad this helped! That closet sticker shock is so real. I just felt in my gut there had to be something more reasonable out there and once I found it, I had to share! 😊
Just came across your channel and I love it! That Ikea system is perfect for your size closet! Looks amazing and you did a great job putting it all together! Organization is such a stress reliever! Can’t wait to see the finishing touches. Like and subscribed 👍🏽❤️🙏🏽❤️
Thank you so much and God bless you. I have seen so many videos to found affordable way to make my closet. This is the best of best. I’m going to do it now bless you.
Looks good! We got the gray one for my two son’s closet and plan to get additional systems for our other kids rooms and probably our room in the main bedroom.
@@malston81 they don’t. If I were designing it again I don’t think I’d put the shoe shelves under the drawers. But, all my flats were on the floor anyway so it is nice being able to see them.
@@prettylillawyer oh ok! Aww no that would have been nice if they pulled out. With the gray unit we just went basic with drawers and some shelves. It’s a reach in closet so there is a small space that I would like to add two hanging rods but the space is smaller than the extendable rod so we will have to figure out a hack for that. We did add drawer pulls to position the drawers closer together.
@@malston81 that's so smart! My top drawers are very close to the shelf that separates the hanging clothes, but I'm still able to open them from the bottom. I like it because you can't see into the drawer, but I spend no time folding the clothes in those drawers now lol. I like the clean lines in my closet but I'll probably add drawer pulls for my parents to maximize how many drawers they can have. Thanks for the idea!
Thanks for watching! The wire system was driving me nuts too lol. I hope you find a system that makes you happy 😊 This one has worked out great for me so far!
I’m in this stage right know I know IKEA is extremely affordable with great quality because Own smaller pieces by then but I can’t bring myself to pay for the pax and I’ve wanted it for a year now. But this was my 2nd choice so I’m gonna play around on the website.
I love that the recognized this hole in the market because I looked at the PAX for so long and could not make myself commit to the price. This is a great option, and the planner is so intuitive. I loved using it to make sure the system really fit my needs before I purchased it.
Thank you!! I’m the same way, I do a lot of research before big purchases. There are also a lot more YT videos about the aurdal now than when I was looking.
I love this!! I’m searching for an affordable solution like this because like you said the PAX system was a little too expensive for me. My closet has the wire racks all over also. Did you paint the entire wall over or just the spots that had the patches? Also did you ever do the other side of your closet?
Hi!! Thanks so much! I only painted over the spots I patched because I knew they’d be covered by the clothes. But, it actually ended up blending perfectly. I haven’t done the other side because the IKEA near me was sold out of the white forever but it’s recently back in stock so when I circle back to my bedroom I’ll be finishing up the closet. 💕
Yeah they are out of the suspension racks near me and they don’t ship to my ZIP Code. So I’m going to have it shipped to my friend and have her send it to me lol. I can’t wait to see how it turns out🥰
Silly questions here lol...what truck do you drive? I am concerned about the tall side boards not fitting in my grand cherokee even with the seats down.
Lol not silly at all. I borrowed my friend’s GMC Acadia for the day for the same reason. But I think they should fit in a Grand Cherokee. They’re long but not as long as they appear on video.

awesome layout. people on reddit actually closed the gap between drawers and add handles to the front of drawers, to make it look more elegant.

Love this idea! I'm definitely going to do section by section when it comes to the closet
Yes, take your time! It’s funny you said this because I’m actually finally heading back to IKEA for a small section next week 👀
@@prettylillawyer you really inspired me I left today for the billy bookcases for one side (purses & shoes) I'll do the main wall sometime next month
Loved this. I need to revamp my closet with a more cost effective approach. I have no patience either but this looks like I can make it through. Lol
Thanks! Lol if I can make it through, you can too. But having had it for a little over a month now I can say you'll get good bang for your buck.

Hi there, how did u attach the clothes rod to the other side of the wall with out the side pannel
Hello! The rod has 2 holes on either side of the T shaped bracket. I screwed one side into a stud and used a drywall anchor to secure the other side.
do you have the measurements of the drawers?
Sure! They are 22 1/4” x 15 3/4”
