I saw him once walking across the BB bridge in NYC, such a beautiful spirit and smile greeting me "my sistah" ! A voice like no other that could take you to peace. Forever remembered, forever missed, and gone too soon.
This is a example that you should also have the ability to say no had he control himself and not allow himself to got used he could even overcome the temptation of using cocaine if you are too sweet the world suck you dry too bitter it spue you out so be wise
Without a doubt the finest vocalist in the history of Reggae music. Exceedingly creative melodically with a touching, beautiful and honest voice that came through in pretty much all of his songs. RIP to this great legend!
😢I had the privilege to see this great man walk by my house on a regular basis back in the day in Duhaney Park Kingston Jamaica, back then as a toddler I didn’t know who he really was and how much of a giant in music he was. Rest in eternal paradise Crown Prince Of Reggae🙏🏽🇯🇲

He was my 1st Jamaican and reggae singer I saw in concert in Britain/ London. . Even before bob marley , big youth and others. Shame he died. The music industry has many pitfalls. Not only to children, but adults as well. Gone mad, overdose, ripped off, overspending, bad management. Taken advantage off. Overworked. The list goes on. Good biography. 👍🎅
Fans of Bob Marley look surprised when I say that Dennis Brown was more infuential as a vocalist in reggae---and Marley himself had named DB as his own favorite singer. I had the fortune to meet and speak with this man several times during his two visits to St. Louis. Dennis carried the sun in his smile and face---it is true, he made you feel you had made a friend, within minutes of meeting. I believe he had before the age of 18 a lung removed, and if that is true even more amazing his vocal powers in life. IMO it is not accurate to say 'the music business killed Dennis Brown". A life of cocaine use and compromised livity did that. My final time speaking to Mr. Brown had me ask him "After all you have done, all the tours and music you've recorded, could you retire tomorrow if you wished??' His face looked very thoughtful, his face considering the question, and said 'That is a serious thing...and...I would have to say no." Dennis passed less than 2 years later, and who ever gave more to Jamaican music than Dennis Emmanuel Brown?? Give Thanks💜
Whenever i am feeling down i play me a Dennis Brown and one song leads to onother till my spirit is lifted. Very gifted brother . RIP BRO YOU MADE US PROUD.
I am sorry that I have never heard or seen him performed live,we bought tickets for his concert in Trinidad and Tobago and he was pronounced dead the night of concert, a lot of people came that to see him performed. SIP Dennis Brown.
Dennis and his music will forever live on as it does day after day and year after year. Not here in person but his soul and spirit can be heard every time you play his songs. What a lovely example of a human being. That promoter that introduced cocaine to him and forced it on him has a lot to answer for. Salute to the Crown Prince of Reggae!!!!
I was once in a studio in NYC in the early ‘90’s with a friend who was recording an album and Dennis Brown happened to be there recording at the same time. I was talking to the owner (David of D &D Studios in the Village) who told me that he only hangs around when Dennis is recording. Dennis was so humble and smiling. Album turned to to be a hit. Saw him again at the Empire Roller Rink in Brooklyn and I asked about the album and he said it was doing great. It is the album that contains the song “Inseparable”.

come before Bob promoted by the establishment, Dennis is a true Prince of Reggae Music for all the People.
"Oh yeah ; you are my Inspiration" !!!!🎶🎤
Dennis "Inseparable " Brown gone too soon and is early introduction into the music was not to his advantage. Dennis is one of a few artistes you would ask God to return 🙏 to us. RIP Crown Prince of Reggae, Sadly missed 😢
One of the greats, Icon.
