- This is a detailed overview of all of the steps required to construct the Nautilus Drydocks 1:300 scale model kit of the SeaQuest DSV submarine from the TV series of the same name.
The entire video is just over a half an hour and includes all steps and techniques for making a great buildup.

I'm not an R/C guy at all. I do models. This kit from Bob is fantastic. He deserves so much credit for doing it. I'm in the process of doing the kit now and will experiment with pearlized inks as a painting approach.
I have one of these hulls, very accurate, plenty of detail. Even the communications bouy has some detail on it. Would reccomend. Can't wait to convert mine to RC!

Would have murdered for this when I was a kid and watched sea quest! Made me wonder though, you ever get builds from clients where it's a full on sci-fi space ship from whatever series? Or is it pretty much all sea things being made into actual submersibles?
Wish I could afford the model. That show was part of my child hood and model building is my escape being physically disabled with spinal damage and amputations. Looking for a good m falcon too
I don't believe you mentioned how you did the windows. Are they just painted on at random, or is the detail sculpted on for you?
I went to the site but couldn't find this model. Was it discontinued?
I would definitely like to see you make one of these models into an actual operational RC Sub. I would like to see how you would do the internal arrangement. Would you do a single water tight cylinder or a double connected water tight cylinder set up ?

@@RCSubGuy @33:25,you referred to the seaQuest as the Nautilus. The confusion is understandable, the resemblance between the two subs is rather striking.
