Hi mate , it could be a bad sector / sectors in the ps4 hard drive causing the system to cut off while playing a game, i'm currently experiencing the same issue and what I can tell you is 1) it is not an overheating issue, 2) it is not the power cord cause I've switched mine several times, 3) it can be a dust issue sometimes, but in our case I doubt that's the issue, which leads me to believe its software related and directly related to the hard drive. I have reinitialised the ps4 twice, I have formatted the hard drive using windows and freshly installed the ps4 OS from a usb drive and the issue still persists. 4) I have even changed the bloody power supply to a brand new one !!! (because the 9.00 update, bricked my system, which caused the ps4 to power on for a second and turn back off), since then it's staying on, but I was then met with this issue we both face atm. So lets try changing the hard drive, either to another one or an ssd. If this doesn't work then it would have to be gpu related, which at that point the ps4 is a dud.
@@izzat-rp2wd Hey there, I do have an update but it's bad news, at this point , I firmly believe its faulty solder joints on the apu chip, this would warrant changing the whole motherboard. It's a very fatal design flaw on sony's part, really disappointing to say the least. I am assuming that the solder breaks down overtime due to the constant heat cycles it goes through while playing for long hours or extended use. Thing is, you can never know when this will occur, it could happen after 3 years / 7 years down the line ; some people might not even experience it at all. In my case, I'm done with sony. I looked into a ps5 but I came to realise that users are reporting this same issue with ps5 models!! imagine that. While I know these consoles were not made to last forever, it's still alarming how they can fail in such a way that renders the console useless for gaming. I have been here before with my ps3, so I'm done with sony at this point. I decided to build a pc instead. I firmly believe that update 9.00 which was supposed to "fix" the ps4 cmos battery issue simply killed my console and many others as well. Sorry for the bad news, you may have to sell it in parts.

I turned it back on and the same thing happened only it was right when i turned it on. Also my ps4 slim wasnt even hot it was warm at best. Usually when my ps4 slim is hot, it will say too hot then i press ok then the too hot message comes up 3-4 more times before it shuts itself off. I've owned my slim since 2017 and recently had the same issue. Took the top off and cleaned the fan and the heatsink that's between the fan and power supply and so far "knock on wood" it hasn't cut off randomly anymore. I hope this helps

It's the power supply mine broke this year Itested everything removing my new HDD and switching it to my old one but it didn't fix it I tried the power cable it didn't work and I bought a power supply and it's finally working again I bought it from Shoppe my power supply model was 160 cr its a ps4 slim 2000
I've been experiencing the issue recently, I've been playing genshin impact, and when the recent update came along (Sumeru) I thought that was causing the issue, I uninstalled it, installed it again, cleared up some space, I even rebuilt the system (in safe mode) my last resort is to initialize it, give it a good old-fashioned factory reset but I don't want to try that just YET, I do have a hard drive to save everything i have on it, but again I'm not going to take it there just yet, if anyone has please tell us.
I have a PS4 Slim that looks pretty similar to yours. Mine's model CUH-4115B and it's the one from the bundle that comes with FIFA '19. My console have the same issue: it turns off without any warning and I guess overheat isn't the problem, because the fan doesn't get noisy. Please, if you have found a solution, let me know. Hello, need help here, I dont know if anyone experienced this but theres an issue i discovered While playing a game, it was completely normal until suddenly the tv flashes and just brings me to the No Signal section and the PS4 shuts off, When its back On, theres a certain loop i discovered where *Every 20 minutes or so the PS4 will guarantee shutdown itselfs*, This kept happening untill eventually it just wont let me On my PS4 anymore. Any tips? (This is a SLIM btw)
The problem right now is that i can no longer turn on my PS4 anymore because it won't lit, no beeps, no light coming from the ps4 whatsoever, nothing wrong with the fan or the airway. Im starting to think its either a CMOS battery problem or the motherboard
To fix this put something that can hold the ps4 as a stand but will not cover the whole bottom of the playstation, the problem is that playstation over heats but the machine fails to show the warning for some reasons

I have this same issue I tried everything it didn't work what I did I got a 12v power adapter to power the fan and it works perfectly!!

I have same problem I change my drive to ssd power cord everything but this problem continues I think it might be hardware issues
The problem is in the power supply the mosfet is heating up put thermal paste on the power supply mosfet
