To meet optimum levels I have to take 15000 units of Vitamin D, my wife only needs to take 5000 per day.

On this channel 7 days ago there is a video titled 'Hidden Fluoride: Could It Be Affecting Your Health?? What are the Solutions', at 14mins 40secs you'll hear some reasons not to dose so highly, there are other reasons too.

VDR Polymorphisms can play a role, (Genetics) Consider Liposomal D3/K2, as some people who have normal D3 levels, that have certain VDR polymorphisms, can have normal levels and still have raging inflammation.

For those who try and try to raise their levels of D3, VDR polymorphisms may play a significant role. Consider Liposomal D3/K2.
    >> In conclusion, serum vitamim D level may be normal among arthritis patients but polymorphism on VDR gene restricts vitamin D to perform its anti-inflammatory function by altering the 1, 25(OH)2 D3 binding sites.

Why such small doses? “2000 IU vitamin D”. “864mg fish oil”

Could be tomatodine, too. Staves off muscle wastage.
Lycopene isn't the only thing tomato contains.

anyone has a good multi-vitamin brand to recommend? I'm taking life extension, but found their dosage for individual vitamin is quite high, especially in vitamin B...

Use only multi's made from whole foods from brands like megafoods, new chapter, garden of life. They also make 2-4/day instead of 1/day so you can lower your intake from 100% RDA especially if you have kidney disease and don't want 100% RDA. They also sell "house" brands of whole foods multi's from Amazon and costco for 1/2 price.

@@larryc1616hi mega had a good multi with natural versions of b6, 12 and folate and not at 10x for some of rda but no more than 2x but stopped making. I called and complained a year ago and they said can do nothing to bring back. More and more studies find high vitamin b’s can be harmful. So now i buy separate natural versions not synthetic versions of b6 b12 adn folate. B12 adn b6 here i have to break up so not over dosing.

I take 2 different brands alternatively:
      1) Whole Earth & Sea, (whole food multi with organic ingredients from their farms, Canadian company). Men , women & kids .
      2) Garden of Life, vitamin code (whole food multivitamins. Comes for general public, men & women).

I've experimented with a small handful of brands and the best I've experienced so far is megafoods, but there could be better brands. It was the only whole foods sourced vitamin brand I've tried, maybe new chapter or garden of life could be better.... or worse.

Yes, fatty fish. A little Greek yogurt / aged cheese, if one does not have any lactose intolerance or dairy allergy like my Dad (otherwise the resulting generalized inflammation makes the Alzheimer’s worse). A carnivore diet is better than the processed, sugar (sucrose, fructose, etc.), saturated fat-laden American diet, but no where near as good as a Mediterranean or DASH diet.

Keto only causes arterial issues if you are deficient in queuine and ethanolamines.

@@darkhorseman8263 The problem is keto doesn’t have fiber to feed the microbiome, and the thousands of species literally make the components for neurotransmitters (which travel also to the brain via the vasovagal nerve) that cannot be eaten nor made by the human body itself. The microbiota also make hormones, the immune system, etc.
There are hundreds of kinds of fiber, from a variety of foods, and different species of microbiota have preferences for different fiber. That’s why it’s so important to eat a variety of foods.
The microbiota also make the mucus layer in the intestines (only a few molecules thick) and is literally what prevents toxins from the intestines, which is literally like a sewer, from entering the rest of the body through the bloodstream, etc. which in turn causes inflammation.
Also, a microbiome ecosystem with “bad” microbiota that feed on sugary foods, for example, sugar perpetuates “cravings” for more sugar via the vasovagal nerve. That’s why people who feel they’re craving sugar don’t actually themselves crave the sugar, though they think it is them. It’s the microbiota species that feed primarily on sugar that send signals to the brain to say they crave sugar, so the person actually it is him or her that craves sugar.
Ultimately an ecosystem of the wrong microbiota creates dysbiosis, one of the 12 hallmarks of aging.
Finally, there is certainly some high nutritional value to a little meat/ animal products - but meat by itself is woefully depleted in many of the elements the body needs to build and repair itself, and to be a cofactor for hundreds of enzymatic processes all throughout the body. It’s like one can’t build a house without the raw material of steel, wood, tools, etc. And yet many of us wonder why we feel crappy, tired, depressed, sick, etc.
All this said, if one has to choose between a standard “American diet” made up of fake and addictive chemicals sold in packaging that label it as “food”, yes, a keto diet is better, at least short term. But like any extremely limited diet, it’s still highly deficient and will make the person age faster, and be unhealthy. This is the point of this video.
It’s just best to have some balance to the diet, of primarily while food, plant based, but with some animal products.
