I don’t think Java’s coded in a laggier language, it’s because since Java was originally made by notch and other people who self-taught themselves how to code, the game was made unoptimized, if mojang were to optimize it, they would have to re-write everything, which they already did with bedrock edition.
As a Bedrock player the main reason I would play Java is because of the command system, with Java you can do so much more (command and map making wise)
Fun fact, most android apps are actually written in Java, (the language used for java edition) Edit: I'm not saying you can play Minecraft Java on your phone. I'm just saying that it's written in the same language as android apps
Java is not so slow today. The problem with Minecraft Java is that it works only on one thread/core, not utilizing entire CPU computational power. Minecraft Java's entire components should be rewritten: sound engine, particle engine, entity engine, and renderer should be working on Vulkan instead of OpneGL in order to make this things working in Multicore mode
From what I've seen bedrock lags 1000 times more than java. The game lags so hard that sometimes I have 0 hearts and it's not because of what I play on because I play on a 2000 dollar pc
@@McCaroni_Sup These games should not be compared. Bedrock Edition is not a game - but a soulless service designed to suck money from someone mother's/father's debit/credit card. Don't get me started on bugs and input lag on Bedrock. Heck, they have removed hardcore mode because there is a high chance to die from bug. Transparency in custom skins? No. Normal working redstone? No. Java Edition's community is the ones who support the game at this point, Mojang just adds content. I'm born in 2000, I still call Bedrock "Pocket Edition". For me this game for the mobile phone, just substitution for Java when I don't have access to the PC to play Java (when I travel for example). But now we have SteamDeck and a lot more portable PCs, so that reduces need for Bedrock Edition even more.
People just won't accept it, but if Mojang decides to stop updating a version, it's going to be Java. Java DOES, in fact, have more stuff, like mods MUCH BETTER than ANY addon in bedrock, some mechanics that feel better and well, in general, it feels better to play java, but if the situation starts getting worse for them, they would discard java, because it doesn't reach a lot of people and because it doesn't give them that much money bc no marketplace. And I'm NOT saying "Bedrock is better" because, in terms of basically everything, it isn't. It's just the version Mojang will end up with in the hypothetical case they have to stop updating one of them.
Mojang actually can't stop updating java most content creators if not all content creators play java (content=popularity=more people=more money) And most people who play bedrock are kids that watch the java players
Microsoft wants kids to spend money on marketplace. But they will always be modders making Java edition stay with current versions. Even if they stop updating

To correct you a bit the language doesn't cause much lag(the java virtual machine[aka the thing you have to download so you can play minecraft and it's so difficult to set up] only makes code a little bit slower). It's the programmer. You may know what we might call "notch code" since the classic to alpha and beta, and nobody bother to optimize it. You can boost an FPS by using sodium mod which rewrites some part of the game code. While bedrock is coded in C/C++ it compiles the code to the CPU level you are able to run the program on your device directly. That's why it runs smoothly but also no more notch code
The problem with bedrock edition (atleast on the pc anyway) is the unnecceasary dividing of the playerbase & updates. Java is the pc version & should have stayed as such. Also bedrock is bad for having unethical monetization with all the ridicilous mtx
@@mangomayhem609 nobody uses market place. it’s completely unnecessary and the game itself is cheaper than java on most devices so you spend less than you do for java

@@mangomayhem609 You do realize majority of the content in the Marketplace is neither made by Mojang nor Microsoft (Microsoft doesn't even make one) right? They're made by the community to monetize their work through official mean (the only way you can profit from using Minecraft IP), and before you say the split is going heavily towards Mojang or MS, the split is 70% to the creator and 30% to Mojang. Beside that it's optional, if you want to have texture/resource pack, mod, map, add-on for free you can just search for them in the internet like what you already do for Java. Minecraft is a single purchase game, so be glad that a form of optional choice of monetization exist for Minecraft because if it's not there Minecraft both Java and Bedrock edition will stop receiving any new updates due to lack of budget.
He is totally right about being able to play on any device. I personally use a steel glass of water and some live wires. The water acts as the screen. The more water there is, the better the quality. That is why I fill my glass to the brim. And the steel glass is the medium through which the live wires will send electricity. Depending on where I put the wires, different actions take place such as placing both live wires on near top performs breaking and using right wire to gently tap the steel glass to place a block. Obviously I wear a rubber glove to shield myself from some electricity if I got in contact. Overall, it is very fun playing Bedrock Edition in this way.
@@LordPenguin. Sorry I don't know what you mean by that haha... Maybe you use something like a washing machine or a bucket to play Bedrock Edition. Depending on the object and materials required, the way of playing completely changes.

So many people think bedrock is bad or like redstone is bad or something like that, but I see people like @redbgc building bigger doors that most people could comprehend, and there are some clear advantages like trident killers. And the survival mode is a lot harder which makes it a fun challenge for even experienced players
Survival is harder because of the disgustingly flowy and unresponsive controls and inconvenient lack of off-hand options. Bedrock is just a half-game. Java has customization and survival, but bedrock just has survival.
@@AndrewMinich You must not play bedrock. The controls are not at all unresponsive. Offhand use doesn’t change the difficulty. The reason why Java survival is easier is just for one main reason: you get the equivalent of about regeneration 4.2 for being filled up on food. There are other easier things on Java like the Dragon and Wither fights and the damage of various mobs, but the feature that really makes the difference is the overpowered saturation healing.

@@TheUltimatePing The textures are the same but the way the game looks and feels like the graphics might be slightly different. Bedrock redstone has quirks that make it super good so it’s just that there are not a lot of tutorials or lot of experts sharing their knowledge everywhere. Java redstone is a little more OP because of the bug that is now considered a feature. The nether roof is a bug and Mojang is still not patching it yet even though it clearly doesn’t fit in the game, it’s super cheaty. Also there are insane portal ticking gold farms that are smaller and more efficient for their size on bedrock and perfectly scaleable. TNT duplication is a bug that has yet to be patched, and it’s clearly also super cheaty. Bedrock has trident killers which make almost every farm afk and give looting 3 and xp, which kinda evens out the slower mob spawning. The mob spawning from a new player stand point is a lot more bearable on bedrock, but that makes it less crazy for farms. Java has modding because it’s a computer only version, that is way harder to do for bedrock with it having lots of mobile and console players. So basically what you just found out is Java is the quirky, broken spoiled version, and bedrock is the version where they actually patch the good bugs and make everything super reasonable. We used to have some great bugs but they always got patched right away. In general Java is better for breaking the game and making wild technical stuff, and bedrock is better for being reasonable and having a very balanced survival mode. I don’t think Java’s coded in a laggier language, it’s because since Java was originally made by notch and other people who self-taught themselves how to code, the game was made unoptimized, if mojang were to optimize it, they would have to re-write everything, which they already did with bedrock edition.

Bedrock is just better overall I play bedrock and Java and I love Bedrock so much more
I want Java but my PC can't handle
Mojang actually can't stop updating java most content creators if not all content creators play java (content=popularity=more people=more money)
And most people who play bedrock are kids that watch the java players
Microsoft wants kids to spend money on marketplace. But they will always be modders making Java edition stay with current versions. Even if they stop updating
But whenever they do parity updates they make bedrock more like Java. Even to the point of taking away bedrock features that Java players would love.

As a bedrock player, i can confirm that we play on fridges and forklifts

The problem with bedrock edition (atleast on the pc anyway) is the unnecceasary dividing of the playerbase & updates. Java is the pc version & should have stayed as such. Also bedrock is bad for having unethical monetization with all the ridicilous mtx
@@mangomayhem609 nobody uses market place. it’s completely unnecessary and the game itself is cheaper than java on most devices so you spend less than you do for java
@@oceonfire_fn The existence of the marketplace is a problem of Microsoft trying to ruin the game with too much monetization. Or you can just, you know. Not use the Marketplace

Depending on where I put the wires, different actions take place such as placing both live wires on near top performs breaking and using right wire to gently tap the steel glass to place a block.

The reason why Java survival is easier is just for one main reason: you get the equivalent of about regeneration 4.2 for being filled up on food. first : make modding possible, it was developing but mojand decided to remove the file that made modding possible in bedrock, with that it's going to be almost impossible for modding i even eard that amethist got stopped beacause of that
second : even if java is laggy bedrock is not better, on bedrock i'm like 40fps with 20 chunk of render distance, on java without optimisation mods i'm with the same performance, but witn mods i can go at 60 consistent at like 32 chunk of render distance not bad for an old java game
third : put java feature in java, don't have acces to the nether roof kill a lot of possible powerful farm that can be possible with the roof like gold, ghast ect, think that wit hthe nether roof it might be possible to do not spawn-proof idk
java redstone : I have always been disappointed that i can't build farm of simple redstone like java, i want to understand why there are so much less bedrock redstone content on yt, when you see how much there are on java, storage system it exist on bedrock but there are not a lot, the farm on general are not powerful enough for exemple : java guaridan farm we can go easly at 1.3m item/h with ray's farm are there a farm on bedrock that can do the same ?
don't this so, some ppl can have more information than me but you get my point, all of that to say that
without powerful farm it take forever to make anything big or end game
import things like tnt dupper, let me explain i know that bedrock has moveable chest, dispenser ect, but it's limiting because no quarry or world eater so perrimeter, you can perimeter in bedrock handdig or with stack and stack of tnt but wait there are no extremely power ful farm to produce tnt in realy big quantity, i hope you get my point
lastly make the same texture in java and bedrock, in theory I shouldn't be able to tell the difference between the java version and the bedrock version just with the textures each time i whatch somethng in bedrock i feel like something is off
if you read all of that thank you if some of my imformation are incorrect tell me i always like to have news for a bit a everywhere
i'll add that most of the thing's i said can be done without destroying anything existant, exept for the redstone
also english is not my native langage there can be some strange things in the things i wrote
happy days =)
I feel bad for Java players who want a challenge cause they have the equivalent of regen 4 when eating. Seems so weird and doesn’t make much sense

Mojang isn't able to monetize the Java edition as hard which is why it get absolutely no love compared to the Bedrock version

I didn't know bedrock could be played on one of those
Java has the majority of gamers. Bedrock has the majority of players.
This doesn't make sense in the slightest lol

@@nategalipeau9830 oh, that makes more sense lol

Meanwhile pojav players: Hold my beer
Fr, pojav is so underrated
Yes
Exactly
not official + doesn’t count due to the first sentence
@@ιλι it doesnt need to be official to count in my opinion. You can also get Bedrock on mac and linux inofficial

Java Players in List:
ok, let’s settle this. ,,Java or Bedrock?”
Legacy Console.
True, but i also like java because of the mods, and you can play legacy console on java
@@concretywatch ye
I typically play bedrock when I want to play with my friends but when I feel like playing mods I hop on a single player Java world
This guy: Java can only be played on a pc

It keeps crashing but if u use a client that will increase ur fps like sodium I used when I had 4gb phone and I had 100-200 fps on servers no cap
@@RealSlastedYT yes cap ive tried it with optifine, pre 1.16 versions and with all other fps boosters and cant get above 80 fps on 8 chunks with a buffed as fuck phone
it makes my phone melt
it's a stupid brick tho (released in 2019, 2 gb ram, bedrock is laggy too)
@@Bezpolezniq the reason is that 1.16+ is garbage optimized
Even for PC so yeah ur right

I've played bedrock for 7 years and the only thing i don't like is the marketplace.

Easily ignored by like the majority of the players lol. Mcpe addons are easily accesible (except for console sadly which is why they added the marketplace in the first place)

yes, yes , and yes
free addons exist for bedrock outside of marketplace
native-game based limited Add-ons never can be compared with high quality coded mods @@hhff8534
bedrock clients exists and is pretty popular in the pvp community and some even have some building tools or something
@@hhff8534 Agreed. I use Addons for Minecraft on mobile by using an app.
That's certainly one way to see it. Every point in here was correct except when buying a game receiving another game /version, but buying the other version and not receiving the other version would imply that bedrock is the side game
