Hey! I’m AuDHD (autism and adhd), I was diagnosed at age 40 😅. My child is too, but he was diagnosed at 8, so I hope he’ll grow up having a better understanding of his brain than I did. I can be your penpal, I love the idea of sending mail. I’m horrible at keeping up with friends or being consistent, so we could send each other something once a year and it’ll be fine 😂
My eldest daughter definitely has ADHD (her dad is diagnosed she is not) but she masks it so well! Too much! Especially in front of professionals who try to diagnose her! 🤦♀️ I too hyper fixate on certain projects and forget to eat! 😂 I have several projects on the go and never finish them! I blame it on my PTSD though x
The high masking is definitely more common in girls, it’s also what causes us to struggle more late in life. But my son is also high masking which made diagnosing him more challenging. However, there are professionals out there that can see through the masking for sure!
