I wear glueless wigs and I wear my braids underneath for 6-8 weeks at a time. I wash and deep condition while in the braids once a week. I’ve been doing this for 8 months now and my hair is slowly but surely starting to appear fuller. I’m so happy because I’ve always had fine, low density hair.
I do something similar, but I leave my braids in for 4 months at a time. I clarify and condition my scalp once a month and moisturize 2-3 times a week. My hair is fine, but it's the thickest it's ever been in my adult life. The take down takes forever (the matting is real), but the results are worth it. When I get it trimmed (1-2 times a year), my hairdresser always says my ends aren't that bad. Like it's definitely time for a trim, but i don't need a haircut.
Yassssss Queen , give me it all Me too after weeks 7 my hair start getting an attitude when my hair much shorter I could do 3 months easy , gotta keep my ancestors smiling 💗😘
@cocaknotz Her hair is breaking around the perimeter and the ends are thinning. That is not healthy long hair. I think the tension is too much for her fine strands. Now your niece, she has healthy long hair!
@@jk9084 yes darling, it’s been a struggle for her, after having her baby , her hair is really taking a hit , I think it has a lot to do with having a baby at an older age , her strands are very weak she can barely handle any protective style right now , currently she is just wearing her real hair in twist with a headband no tension , I totally agree with you , I told her no more weave for a year , till her body /nutrition comes to a stage where she becomes more nutritionally balanced, she bought a wig just in case she wants a certain look for a special occasion. Thank you for your observation curl friend , we in this together 🥰😘
@@cocaknotz Ah ok that explains a lot. I am also now on a 6 month twist journey and then plan to crochet after, because I noticed my fine strands were breaking from box braids. Yes, we need to help and educate eachother ❤️!
I go two months under a sewin without touching my hair, I take it out and wear my real hair for a month, after that month I put a sewin back in for two months and repeat, my type 4b was at my butt until I cut it, our hair can really grow without locs

My hair has been in individual braids since August, crochet b4 that & sew in b4 that... I'm resting my hair now and yes it's hard cuz I want to look cute cute lol but I am now 20 inches and some areas 19 & 18... I'm trying to get to belly button 😊

@@zakiahwilliams2697 oh no babes , sorry that happened to you , set backs is something that will definitely happen on a natural long hair journey but I’m glad your hair bounce back babe ☝️🌸🙌🏾
Everything you are saying makes perfectly good sense to me, but I wear crochet for two months at a time, could you please do a video of how you achieve your braid patterns without combing the hair, it would be greatly appreciated. 🤎
Thanks babe I sure will , it’s very easy , just slowly part and then finger Detangle each section gently and braid , it is a lot slower then using a comb but it’s worth it
