    I have a suggestion! It would be really nice if one of the many channels I watch about cosmetic surgery would honestly discuss the costs of these procedures.
    It would be nice to have general up to date information about what it could cost from start to finish.

    • @sarastanley4735
      @sarastanley4735 11 месяцев назад +8

      The costs can range from $15k-$50k depending on the surgeon and where you go...CA is way more costly than somewhere in the midwest, Mexico is less expensive than the US, it impossible for a channel to be able to discuss costs. There are too many variables.

      Each Plastic Surgeon has their own price and some depends on where you are having it performed. Some of these repeated treatments cost almost as much as a face lift. I have gotten prices but have not gotten it done yet. A few years ago I got a few prices all less than $10,000 in the Northern Virginia area.

    It’s so darn hard for the average person to determine who is qualified to perform these treatments., i.e., lasers, fillers, ultrasound, energy devices, etc. The number of factors to consider is overwhelming: the certified dermatologist, their training, experience, equipment, and, very importantly, their ethics. It’s really overwhelming and it, quite frankly, makes me afraid to go to anyone! While I appreciate all your amazing information, I still feel very unqualified to make such a decision that would impact my sense of well-being. I am in the San Francisco Bay Area that has a huge number of dermatologists, med-spas, plastic surgeons all wanting and vying for our business that, I’ll use the word again, it is simply overwhelming.

    I’ve got to comment on Ellacor and give a warning from personal experience. In theory it sounds great but I had it done around the whole mouth area. The bruising was intense and lasted at least a couple weeks. I was also left with a red/purple-ish tone/hue above my lip that made me look like I had a mustache and has taken MONTHS to go away. The Dr tried laser to help decrease it but it did nothing. Also if the tiny little cores do not fully come out with the procedure (as is what’s meant to happen) it leaves little white dots that kind of look like tiny pimples. They eventually resolve, but again takes a LONG time. I would stay away from this procedure!

    • @HCP-ux9ej
      @HCP-ux9ej 11 месяцев назад

      @@loveandhappiness1111 Yes the lifting is immediate plus the threads create collagen over time which plumped my face. It's honestly the best bang for the buck as the threads replace the need for fillers. Ppl are afraid to see the thread pulled so tight that they ask the provider to ease up which is a mistake because the threads do fall a bit. No working out or crazy face movement for 2 weeks otherwise the threads will fall back to where they started. That could be the reason why some ppl feel it does nothing. Relaxing for 2 weeks after is crucial. I am 53 and my skin is as plump as if in my 20s.

    • @sparklingwavess
      @sparklingwavess 8 месяцев назад +1

      Simple (and cheap) TCA cross is the best for ice pick scarring, and followed by/combined with traditional microneedling. Both of these methods will not give a good outcome (or cause laxity) if you're not a good candidate - age, health status, immunocompromisation, aftercare, skin prep. If your body can't engage in the repairing process, it won't happen and give a bad result. I learned this from Dr. Lance Setterfield. Hope this helps

    • @DrStefaniKappel

      No not unorganized collagen as a complication but yes volume loss in unskilled hands or with outdated (used) devices that medispas often have so just be careful. As a dermatologic surgeon who has done thousands on surgeries, flaps and grafts on patients who have had Thermage I can say first hand that disorganized collagen and scar tissue is not an issue when it comes to surgery.

    I’ve watched so many videos onPDO threads and every dermatologist and plastic surgeon has been against these threads and this beautiful dermatologist is recommending it, well to each their own right? I was thinking about this procedure and after watching so many videos why they are not recommended I decided it was not a good idea. 😂🤷‍♀️🤔

    Love your channel! Your unsponsored approach is so appreciated! My main concern at 55 yo is minimizing my nasolabial folds. What would be your first choice procedure to effectively /noticeably reduce the look of it?

    • @DrStefaniKappel
      @DrStefaniKappel  11 месяцев назад +8

      Thank you!! I've always been non-sponsored and always will be. Thats is a promise. It all depends on you're anatomy and what would make the biggest impact for you. Without seeing you in person it is hard to say but most likely Thermage, Ellacor or threads to lift up the skin to erase the nasolabial folds. Although filler in the NLF would help, its a slippery slope to go down sometimes as tightening the skin will be longer lasting and look natural.

    • @DrStefaniKappel
      @DrStefaniKappel  11 месяцев назад +5

      Sculptra is great for mid face but should not be injected into the lower face because it can actually make things worse. I love it for mid face tho. It has to be injected in the correct dermal plane and location.

    Thanks so much for this video! I’ve had 4 Morpheus 8 treatments. I had some results but definitely not life changing. I have moved back to my home town & had a consult w/ a very well respected plastic surgeon (who I’ve used in the past for other treatments). I am planning to do Thermi tight on my lower face & neck. I have come skin sagging & laxity under my chin ( I’m thin don’t really have any fat on my neck & he said I have muscle laxity under my chin as well) & mild to moderate jowling. I’m not a candidate for Kybella. Volume loss was definitely a concern when I had the Morpheus. He wants me to do 2 Secret RF w/some injectable ( maybe Sculptra?) prior to the Thermi tight because he said it will should improve the end result. I’m gettting ready to start the Secret RF process, but not super excited about doing it. Especially if the technology is now considered outdated. I don’t want to waste my money & possibly end worse off. Ellacore isn’t available any closer than a 2.5 -3 hour drive & I don’t know anything about the doctors that offer it either so this would be a concern.

    Thank you for this content! Sagginess in my jowl area is the bane of my existence!! And there is so much conflicting information out there - even from dermatologists. Some don't like threads, some love bio-stimulators, some stay away. Ugh!! Would you still recommend Ellacore for someone who scars easily, or heat-based treatment like Thermage for those who have issues with hyperpigmentation or melasma? TIA!!
