It's a rip of the Longines Spirit Zulu Time which Longines markets as a pilot's watch so it's weird that SM market this as a diver. I guess calling it a dive watch just gets the most interest.
I bought the original on the secondary market. It's sweet as sweet can be. Considering I paid 1.5k with bracelet and leather, so this seems too much money. It's such a fabulous design and worth the secondary price. San Martin should have chromed the date window and lumed the date wheel. Two things the original needs. Shame you didn't find out more about the original as it's a homage after all.
I have this in the black/gilt color. Fantastic watch, and I prefer the sterile case back. I want to have the UTC zones engraved on the back.
Not a GMT guy, but this has been on my radar since the Longines release.
San Martin did such a nice job. Definitely digging it. Thanks for the review.

Are you a Dundee guy? 🏴
Bellshill, just outside Glasgow 🏴
It’s a beautiful looking watch but too wee for my wrist. I’d be all over it at 41 to 43mm.
A beauty!
