So much of what you're saying sounds like the golf swing...and I have the same problem with my golf swing as I do with my cast... too quick and jerky in the transition. My mind knows what to do but my body wants to help it. It's like you have the conscious, aware mind and then the body has a completely different mind that wants to take over
