@3:50 your kicks base damage is based off of your boot’s flat damage combined with an equation, using your strength and dexterity, that also provides flat damage to your kick. Then strength double dips and provides the +% attribute damage as 1.2xstr, that combines with dragon talon’s +% skill damage, might aura, etc. Much harder to stack in hardcore, but just enough hp, and a ton of strength goes a long way. Awesome video, it was fun to look back on an old build, keep it up!
I have been inspired by your videos, and I recently made my own journey into the the hardcore mode SSF, and the first guardian few days ago has been the Dragon Talon sin (what a coincidence!); I finished Hell at lvl 82, farming here and there (not being as lucky as you were during your run), and playing with player count (all normal P8, hell mainly in P1). Few tips I have learnt: might merc is the only one to pick up (he basically doubles your damage) while act 3 fire merc is really a valid option for normal and beginning of nightmare (and he would have taked down the physical immune in hell, but he would have cut in half your damage output). Contrary to my believe, death traps are quite useless for dealing with physical immunes, which have been taken down by the shadow warrior (20 hard points); continues recasting her close to Akara she comes up with a black right hand weapon (cruel modification, 200-300% ED), you have to be quick since she starts casting fade, blade shield and venom (then both weapon will be green and you can't know what she was spawned with). Once she casts fade, she becomes immune to all 4 elemental sources of damage (!!) and thanks to 40% phys res by default at the end she is quite tanky. Then I used Peace rw for armor in swap for the lvl 15 Valkyrie cast (when you swap it out she is still there). For early levels I suggest to focus on elemental damage: 2 socket claw with RAL-RAL for 10-60 fire damage before the end of act 1, and the rest will be a breeze: act 3 fire merc will help later on. At the end my build is very similar to yours: 20 points to dragon talon, shadow master, death sentry and fade (this one only 19 actually), 1 in dragon flight, CoS and MB. My Gear: strength rw in greater claw (never found a 2 socket greater talon for -30 ias), rhyme shield, bulwark helm, duress armor (Peace for valkyrie precast), res or AR thrash jewellery, venom grip, upped goblin toe (replaced with scarabshell, never found higher damage boots, I tried few times shopping them from anya or gamble them, but the % are really low, around 1-2%). STR 170, 90 DEX, 250 VIT, 20 unused, 45% CB, 6500 AR (angelic combo would have helped a lot), 1300 hp (with fade resistances were overcapped, and a 35% physical res in total with bulwark). Merc with Kelpie Snare (75% slow) and smoke (capped res). My goal was to get hustle rw for both armor and secondary weapon, or Lawbringer (decrepify is a game changer) but KO never showed up (looter and you get all of them!!). Main strategy is quite simple: Cloak of shadow, cast 2 death sentry in the feet of the enemies, teleport the party there and start kicking to make the first corpses, then everything blows up. For tough fights (Death Lord PI, might or Fanaticism aura, Lister) mind blast from far. All done at the very first attempt (hell ancients and lister too); never used save and exit strategy nor reset skill points. First time I tried hardcore, and had really good times. Oh, and if you think that too many spells are to be binded, then try the martial art sin (claws of thunder/ice/phoenix strike) and you'll find out that another keyboard is needed. Good job mate as usual, see you next time.

Your gear sounds different from mine but maybe even more viable than what I had. No matter what I did I felt flimsy and prone to danger until I found the Reaper's. My single player (1.13c Plugy SC) anni-, organ- and torch-hunter is a lvl90 DTalon Assassin. With Azure (Stormlash is also fun), Gulli, Forti/Duress, Upped Gores and Draculs, this build becomes very viable and robust, albeit not super fast (at least without DeathSentry). I grant that it is not a good SF-build, but with the right equipment, it is very playable. Glad to see you gave it a try! For all the naysayers: Ofc, a smiter is more robust and cheaper.
Stormlash is still a grailer for me. 1 of the final 4. I've done ubers with a fully decked out one before. Wasn't even that hard to pull off. It was a pretty rough SSF run though. I definitely needed the item luck

@@Gopiciko2 I'm not the rabbit and I don't play HC too often (trying it now though because I enjoy those vids), but starting as poison jav and then respeccing into javazon seems to be the best way. I'd guess for hardcore a stormshield would be great, also some more points into the valkyrie and the passives for safety seems appropriate. And use slow missiles a LOT (one point wonder I'd guess) when encountering ghosts, archers, everything that shoots at you. T-stroke for bosses (also fine because you'd need the strenght for spirit/stormshield and dex for high block chance). Watch out for rare gloves with 20 IAS and plus to jav skills, treachery/duress are great and cheap armor runewords. With a high level valkyrie (no need for all jav bonusses) and an act 2 merc with freeze aura plus slow missiles you're pretty safe, although of course the HP isn't as high, since strenght and dex for tstroke are pretty high. I might be completely wrong though - but it's just a thought. :)

Yeah there is always tons of references to music and movies in my video's. Some of them subtle, some not so much haha. I still have a few hidden in video's from over a year ago that no one ever commented on. And some of the ones I thought no one ever would pick up got commented on immediately, it's so fun to hide stuff like that.

Music wise I just got into metal as a teenager and never looked back haha. I do listen to all sorts of stuff though. I just checked, I love his vocals and rapping but normal guitars don't do it for me at all. Even when I was learning the guitar I just skipped learning acoustic 😅
Had fun with this a while ago. Against single targets it really slaps, especially once you add crushing blow to the mix. And since your damage comes from your boots instead of weapon, you can also wear a Lawbringer to decrepify constantly. The knockback is annyoing however, and the AoE is basically non-existant.
You can have some really cool stuff going on with this one if your willing to farm. I saw someone stacking a bunch of trigger on attack stuff on this it was hilarious. All the people disconnecting from lag was amazing to see
I started a run in that as well. I wasn't very impressed with the melee splash damage charm to be honest, I found the damage decrease to be a bit too much. But I'll mention everything I thought about it when I make the video on it
You said it was a sloppy run, but this "sloppy" run was much better than almost all my runs, as only one char I was able to run through hell. And I'm playing since the very beginning. Ancient just took my pleasure, I'd say. :P

At 9:44 you were saying you're annoyed that you didn't get "Cannot be frozen" for Duriel fight, but Duriel has holy freeze aura, which applies a special kind of cold that isn't blocked by "Cannot be frozen", it still applies chill effect anyway
I know. But he hits with cold damage as well which does apply seperately, meaning at least his direct cold damage could be prevented with cbf. Making the effect much less horrible. I could also just have chugged thawing pots I now realize

They are between 150 and 350 gb depending on the length of the run. The final result is usually just a couple of gb. I churn through terabytes of raw video every month
You don't wanna use venom with this build. It glitches the damage. Stick to all melee. For PVM you really need dracs gloves to give you life tap on kick. If you can get lots of life leech then you don't need dracs and can hold lacerator which will cast amp and give you so much damage. Either way, with fade and the other armor skill she as you will do plenty of damage with kick.
Have you considered playing a Poison Dagger Necro? You'd definitely have to max Corpse Explosion for the immunes but it could be interesting, I've always wanted to try it myself lol
I did a poison necro that I played with a dagger for a big part of the run. It's not a 100% poison dagger run but it did atleast most of normal and the act bosses with poison dagger
As you play through so many characters, do you believe there is some kind of RNG Factor that gives some characters better loot than others? Not depending on classes. But i have a feeling that some of my characters are like your Captain spoonfed. I played an Amazon last week which got all her loot in one playthrough. Even shako at NM Baal. But then there are characters which struggle on even playing through Nightmare as i cant find any loot except yellow chrystal swords and polearms. What is your opinion on this?
DT is now uninterruptible, right? Loved a Dancer with Voice of a reason in PB: multi-orbs flying in all directions is not what you see everyday. I remember something called "blender" - similar multi-proccing Sin build that used Blade shield. Emerged in some patch beta, was quite good. Ofc Blizz couldn't have that and nerfed it to 0. Now you can only get remotely close to that with Rift and spamming Blade shield - dubious pleasure. But with additional gear might be niche-viable. Because of knockback DT was quite dangerous in Legacy: multiple-enchanted unique monsters. Could be mended with swap-cast, omitting the last kick, preventing the knockback. Might merc could've increased your damage by 30%+. Because of Fade's %DR, it's relatively easy to reach a cap of 50% - Tankysin! Maxed SM with maxed Fade often can tank Lister. I personally dislike Venom: numbers seem good, but you don't hit every 0.4 seconds - you hit much faster. I never really played Dragon claw Sin. Considered her as a DT option for Ubers in Legacy (short sequences are better when interruptible), but I never saw a good guide. Calcs tell 50% more DPS and slightly less AR. And no knockback. Wear any boots, but worry about claws. Among all your amazing finds, I celebrate Angelic wings (ring is easy to find). Without it, you'd need to pump up Dex so hard. Even without Reaper's, it would be much more tolerable than without the amulet.
Yeah it's uninterruptible now. A procsin is on my to-do list as well. Seems like so much fun. I'll try a might merc next time, I can see that very good. But when this was recorded I played much safer than I do these days. I used Venom mostly as a way to get through physical immunes. The damage is... ok. It gets the job done. I'm not super attached or impressed with it, but it just works. Yeah Angelic combo is always a super welcome find, the amulet is so rare though.

How big are these run video files you have sitting around on your computer? Has to be massive.
They are between 150 and 350 gb depending on the length of the run. The final result is usually just a couple of gb. I churn through terabytes of raw video every month
You don't wanna use venom with this build. It glitches the damage. Stick to all melee. For PVM you really need dracs gloves to give you life tap on kick. If you can get lots of life leech then you don't need dracs and can hold lacerator which will cast amp and give you so much damage. Either way, with fade and the other armor skill she as you will do plenty of damage with kick.

1440p on console plays bad (it's choppy) otherwise I would have no problem uploading at 1440p.
Have you considered playing a Poison Dagger Necro? You'd definitely have to max Corpse Explosion for the immunes but it could be interesting, I've always wanted to try it myself lol
I did a poison necro that I played with a dagger for a big part of the run. It's not a 100% poison dagger run but it did atleast most of normal and the act bosses with poison dagger

As you play through so many characters, do you believe there is some kind of RNG Factor that gives some characters better loot than others? Not depending on classes. But i have a feeling that some of my characters are like your Captain spoonfed. I played an Amazon last week which got all her loot in one playthrough. Even shako at NM Baal. But then there are characters which struggle on even playing through Nightmare as i cant find any loot except yellow chrystal swords and polearms. What is your opinion on this?
No not a thing at all. It comes and goes but definitely not per character

DT is now uninterruptible, right? Loved a Dancer with Voice of a reason in PB: multi-orbs flying in all directions is not what you see everyday. I remember something called "blender" - similar multi-proccing Sin build that used Blade shield. Emerged in some patch beta, was quite good. Ofc Blizz couldn't have that and nerfed it to 0. Now you can only get remotely close to that with Rift and spamming Blade shield - dubious pleasure. But with additional gear might be niche-viable.
Because of knockback DT was quite dangerous in Legacy: multiple-enchanted unique monsters. Could be mended with swap-cast, omitting the last kick, preventing the knockback.
Might merc could've increased your damage by 30%+. Because of Fade's %DR, it's relatively easy to reach a cap of 50% - Tankysin! Maxed SM with maxed Fade often can tank Lister. I personally dislike Venom: numbers seem good, but you don't hit every 0.4 seconds - you hit much faster.
I never really played Dragon claw Sin. Considered her as a DT option for Ubers in Legacy (short sequences are better when interruptible), but I never saw a good guide. Calcs tell 50% more DPS and slightly less AR. And no knockback. Wear any boots, but worry about claws.
Among all your amazing finds, I celebrate Angelic wings (ring is easy to find). Without it, you'd need to pump up Dex so hard. Even without Reaper's, it would be much more tolerable than without the amulet.

I'll try a might merc next time, I can see that very good. But when this was recorded I played much safer than I do these days.
I used Venom mostly as a way to get through physical immunes. The damage is... ok. It gets the job done. I'm not super attached or impressed with it, but it just works.
Yeah Angelic combo is always a super welcome find, the amulet is so rare though.

I have brainstormed about a summoner assassin build before. Which would have bears and wolves and stuff as well. It would be very similar to the summon barb I did a while ago. So I'll be able to figure something out no worries.
