I have seen it. It is absolutely amazing. He asks some inmates what would happen if he found himself inside on some minor charge (it's a county jail, but a huge one) and they didn't hold back at all.
Great video Larry! I just finished The Gangster Redemption -book and I have to say that it was quite a thrill altough I had already seen all your videos! Keep on doing good work!
Hey Larry! I've been watching your videos a good bit recently and I really, really respect what you do. It takes a strong man to not only learn from his mistakes, but use his mistakes as a teaching tool for others, especially young people who ate at a high risk of ending up in prison. A buddy of mine got out of a max security not too long ago, basically his ex cheated on him with another dude in his own bed,, he got pissed off (rightfully so) and he took back the PlayStation and such that he gave her and she had him charged with grand theft because the value was over $400. He got nine months for that charge, but unfortunately because he was a younger guy who had a bit of a past? He ended up in a maximum security prison, don't know which one, but I know it was here in NC. I can't say I condone his actions, and that he should have been held accountable, but I understand on a human level why he did it, if it were my girlfriend? I'd be pissed off too and probably do something stupid, just maybe not to that degree. But one of the stories he told me was definitely something you'd hear about in a max security. He told me he was sitting in the mess hall having lunch, and this young guy who was cocky and trying to act all tough took someone else's seat...well, the seat he took was that of an older guy in his 50s with multiple life sentences. Guess it wasn't the first time this kid tried to pull this because he clearly had enough of this young punk disrespecting him. He walked up to him while he was in his seat, and suddenly produced a creepy grin on his face. He left the mess hall for a second, came back with a shank made from a glass shard, and within five seconds slit this guy's throat from ear to ear and got the hell out of there. The guards started calling "lockdown, lockdown! Everyone back to your cells now!", beat his ass, and threw him in the hole for three days. At first I'm like "are you serious? That's all they did to him?" but then it hit me. This was an older guy with multiple life sentences who had a reputation of being a convict, but a convict who took no shit from punks like that. What's the worst they could do to him? Give him another life sentence? He's never getting out unless he's in a body bag. Don't screw with lifers because they have nothing to lose when someone disrespects them or pisses them off. Anyways, I'd like to request a specific historical prison event if you think you have the time to cover it, it's one that really really pushed prison reform into the spotlight. The 1980 New Mexico State Penitentiary Riots, I read some of the stories and they're truly horrific and disturbing (like rats/snitches and pedos being slowly tortured and burned alive with acetylene blow torches...), but I would love to hear your thoughts on this event, how it came to be, and what happens when the conditions in prison are so bad they're intolerable and convicts have had enough, and I think 1980 New Mexico shows what can happen and how bad it can get when the system is abusive if not sadistic. I also wanted to ask if you ever met anyone who was there when shit was hitting the fan, or perhaps even involved in those riots. Thank you for all the good work you do! Need to join the action crew one of these days.
Hey Larry, looks like another great day to watch one of your excellent instructional videos. Thanks again bro for all the tremendous effort and amount of work you put into your shows. Have a wonderful day Larry. Jimmy.
I'm glad to see you as a free man Larry! My son went to prison at 18 to serve out a 24 year sentence. He is 12 years into it.Larry it crushed me.Anyway I would love it if you tell a bit about what it does to your family when you go in and how hard the visits are.
@@wynndoesthings8662 The answer to your question is no. Most COs receive training during the academy on 12 gauge shotguns and 5.56 AR rifles, but this is in case of special circumstances or posting in a tower, which is very hard to get. Almost universally, COs carry a 4oz can of OC spray, a radio, a pair of handcuffs without a key except for certain officers, latex gloves and a CPR mask. Some will go the extra mile and carry a small flashlight that is required to be under six inches and 1.5 ounces in weight. Depending on the housing unit you work, you might carry extra handcuffs, shackles and a pair of medical shears to cut down bodies. If you are qualified for an outcount, where you are escorting an offender outside of the prison grounds, you are issued a pistol and potentially a shotgun for the duration.

Love you stories Larry, Hope you're well.
I am, thanks, hope you are well as well.
I passed through USP Atlanta in 1999 for two weeks in the transfer spot. Worst place I ever been. Hung the phone up on me several times after only a few minutes. Watched me take showers right up on me with 5 others showering at the same time. Took my books for not going on rec while I was sleeping. You do not have to go to rec. Hell, most of the time they dont wanna take you. Place was shit. Cool wall though. Couldnt image having to do a bid there. Glad you made it out Larry and able to tell these stories. Those beatings had to change you and the anger and rage from it most be some kind of bad. Always interesting to watch. Great video
Hey Larry, I just wanted to say how entertaining and how cool your videos are, and how much of a great you tuber you are, and how inspiring it is that you were able to turn your life around, while still making changes and helping people. Keep up the great content!
Thanks Josh, that means a lot
I'm a simple man I see a larry Lawton video I sit here and watch it, keep up the content Larry love these stories
Thanks Keven, I appreciate your support
Hey Larry! You should do a video on all the different levels of prisons. It would be super interesting. And would Guantanamo Bay be considered a Super Max?
That is a military prison
@@LarryLawtonJewelThief ok so I suppose it doesn't fall under the same naming system for the security level then. Thanks Larry!
Larry is just a good guy thank you Larry lawton for providing words of encouragement that seeds and grows throughout our lives
I'm happy you survived Larry! Keep spreading your message.
Learning so much about prison life. Thank you for making these videos!
In the beginning even though it’s subtle you can tell that Larry is angry about how corrupt the prison system can be because physical abuse should be used against no one, criminal or not
Hello Larry. I discovered your videos a while ago and i think it’s very insightful. i wish more people would see these videos to see the reality of prison. i am aware of other people on youtube that explain what life was like in prison but i still think you’re the smartest and most experienced out of all of them (not like it’s a competition). as a 17 year old, ive become completely invested into your channel and hope you come out with more videos you love to make. have a good one Larry.
GET LARRY TO 1 MILLION!
@Jim Bianco no need, we we did it
You are killing it on RUclips, man, nice hustle.
Thanks
Its crazy how entertaining he is like he is just talking to a Canara for 26 minutes but this is still entertaining
Thanks
16:04 When it shows the ADX from above, just to the right of the center of the screen is a yard that looks like skull, its on an angle
Fun Fact: There's a taco place in the back of a gas station that is right next to the Atlanta Prison. Locals call it "Prison Tacos".
Hey Larry- thanks for your vid. Helps me get through my work shift and makes me appreciate my freedom!
Hey Larry, love your videos from UK. You should check out Louis Theroux: Miami Mega Jail. Really raw and unbiased, and pretty local too.
Thanks, I will
I have seen it.
Larry seems like the dude that could be everyone’s best friend at the barbecue
Wow, this channel has blown up. Have been watching since 300k subs. Well done Larry, as always.. great stories
Need to join the action crew one of these days.
love the videos larry been watching since 80k cant wait to see you hit 1 million
Fun facts #189: In 2014, Tinder made its first match on the continent of Antarctica. Not surprisingly, both parties involved were research scientists
And both were men

Larry Lawton hi larry
I'm glad to see you as a free man Larry! My son went to prison at 18 to serve out a 24 year sentence. He is 12 years into it.Larry it crushed me.Anyway I would love it if you tell a bit about what it does to your family when you go in and how hard the visits are.
Hey Larry did the guards have big guns or was It just hand guns and keep up the great work =)
Or did they have guns
no guns, only in the towers and they had sniper rifles.
Ok thanks
@@LarryLawtonJewelThief did they have any form of weaponry?
My pops is in prison and I haven’t been able to see him in months due to the virus. You remind me of him though and some of the stories you tell makes me worry about him even more than I already do lol you also give me hope that someday I’ll get to see him again. Much respect and love to you Larry. Stay safe and keep the videos coming! Thank you!
Man this pisses me off just because people are in prison doesn’t mean they should treat them that way
Thanks. But sadly they do
I like how entertaining you make these lessons and talks. You make it so interesting to listen to dude.
Always wondered what my brother was going through while in prison. Had to learn what not to be when I got older
I really enjoy your videos Larry. Thank you for sharing your experiences brotherman. I have a lot of respect for you and you trying to show ppl they don’t want to go there. Keep it up and I’ll be buying your book soon. Take care
Hey lawton love your content cant wait till 1 mill 🙏
onward and upward. Thanks for your support
Hey Larry love your videos shoutout from Portugal
It's all fun and games until you see the inmates walkin' around in their sneakers and boots.
Recently found your channel Larry and hearing you talking about these horrible things makes me sad for prisoners
“I heard it though the grapevine”
Rest In Peace Marvin Gaye
I think you are the most responsive big youtuber out there. Huge respects and keep up the good efforts.
