Hey Larry! I've been watching your videos a good bit recently and I really, really respect what you do. It takes a strong man to not only learn from his mistakes, but use his mistakes as a teaching tool for others, especially young people who ate at a high risk of ending up in prison. A buddy of mine got out of a max security not too long ago, basically his ex cheated on him with another dude in his own bed,, he got pissed off (rightfully so) and he took back the PlayStation and such that he gave her and she had him charged with grand theft because the value was over $400. He got nine months for that charge, but unfortunately because he was a younger guy who had a bit of a past? He ended up in a maximum security prison, don't know which one, but I know it was here in NC. I can't say I condone his actions, and that he should have been held accountable, but I understand on a human level why he did it, if it were my girlfriend? I'd be pissed off too and probably do something stupid, just maybe not to that degree. But one of the stories he told me was definitely something you'd hear about in a max security. He told me he was sitting in the mess hall having lunch, and this young guy who was cocky and trying to act all tough took someone else's seat...well, the seat he took was that of an older guy in his 50s with multiple life sentences. Guess it wasn't the first time this kid tried to pull this because he clearly had enough of this young punk disrespecting him. He walked up to him while he was in his seat, and suddenly produced a creepy grin on his face. He left the mess hall for a second, came back with a shank made from a glass shard, and within five seconds slit this guy's throat from ear to ear and got the hell out of there. The guards started calling "lockdown, lockdown! Everyone back to your cells now!", beat his ass, and threw him in the hole for three days. At first I'm like "are you serious? That's all they did to him?" but then it hit me. This was an older guy with multiple life sentences who had a reputation of being a convict, but a convict who took no shit from punks like that. What's the worst they could do to him? Give him another life sentence? He's never getting out unless he's in a body bag. Don't screw with lifers because they have nothing to lose when someone disrespects them or pisses them off. Anyways, I'd like to request a specific historical prison event if you think you have the time to cover it, it's one that really really pushed prison reform into the spotlight. The 1980 New Mexico State Penitentiary Riots, I read some of the stories and they're truly horrific and disturbing (like rats/snitches and pedos being slowly tortured and burned alive with acetylene blow torches...), but I would love to hear your thoughts on this event, how it came to be, and what happens when the conditions in prison are so bad they're intolerable and convicts have had enough, and I think 1980 New Mexico shows what can happen and how bad it can get when the system is abusive if not sadistic. I also wanted to ask if you ever met anyone who was there when shit was hitting the fan, or perhaps even involved in those riots. Thank you for all the good work you do! Need to join the action crew one of these days.
I have been watching your programs and found them interesting and at times horrifying. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. Best of luck with your future endeavours.

So if you have sneakers and you wear them at anytime because you feel confier in them instead of the flipflops, does that make you a target or do inmates avoid you all the time?
I worked as a GED and ESL teacher for BBI in a juvenile “day treatment center.” They kept us so understaffed with a mixed group of legitimately violent and psychopathic creeps (male and female) and a handful of teen stoners whose parents thought they’d learn a lesson. Never felt so in danger all the time. The suits didn’t give a crap.
I'm glad to see you as a free man Larry! My son went to prison at 18 to serve out a 24 year sentence. He is 12 years into it.Larry it crushed me.Anyway I would love it if you tell a bit about what it does to your family when you go in and how hard the visits are.

Larry, you are a gifted speaker- I stumbled upon your channel by accident, but since then I’ve non stopped been watching and have been a huge fan since! Your videos are very entertaining, educational, and teach incredible life skills and lessons to people everywhere. You are a perfect example of your saying “ I don’t believe in bad people, I believe in bad choices.” It’s amazing and remarkably inspiring to hear your story , and life- and the unimaginable horrible challenges and scenarios a ton of people will never have to face. I struggle with addiction, and your videos serve as therapy and a tool to keep a good mindset to remain steady to avoid having to go through your past experiences. I’m buying a hoodie to support!! Subscribed, and like and share your videos. It’s not much, but I wish I can do more. You tell it like it is, and have made a great life, and impact viewers like me. It gives me that fire in my belly that if Larry can do it, I can get through this! I support you all the way, and hope you see this comment. Nothing but love, respect, good wishes, stay healthy, and keep using your gifts. You are a gifted individual. Keep making videos Larry!!! Shout out from Long Island N.Y!!!!👍👍👍👍

Fun Fact: There's a taco place in the back of a gas station that is right next to the Atlanta Prison. Locals call it "Prison Tacos".
Hello Larry. I discovered your videos a while ago and i think it’s very insightful. i wish more people would see these videos to see the reality of prison. i am aware of other people on youtube that explain what life was like in prison but i still think you’re the smartest and most experienced out of all of them (not like it’s a competition). as a 17 year old, ive become completely invested into your channel and hope you come out with more videos you love to make. have a good one Larry.
Hey Larry, could you make a video about: "everything you need to know before/when purchasing a diamond"?
Keep it up, Larry! Love the content, you are already making some change, do not forget that! Stay safe.
Fun facts #189: In 2014, Tinder made its first match on the continent of Antarctica. Not surprisingly, both parties involved were research scientists
And both were men
Had no idea about that

Always wondered what my brother was going through while in prison. Had to learn what not to be when I got older
Fully support a movement for prison reform and banning private prisons. Thank you for doing this Larry. You’re made to make, it glad you’re putting your all into GOOD.
Man this pisses me off just because people are in prison doesn’t mean they should treat them that way
Thanks. But sadly they do
Great video Larry! I just finished The Gangster Redemption -book and I have to say that it was quite a thrill altough I had already seen all your videos! Keep on doing good work!
You should try getting into the Joe Rogan show
I love his show
@@LarryLawtonJewelThief Yes! That would be awesome hope this happens at some point.
Larry Lawton He could definitely help spread your message and campaign. Wish you luck
And Joey Diaz Church of What's Happening Now
Larry Lawton please try and write to him. I feel that you and Rogan would have a TON to discuss as far as police and prison reform.
You deserve much more than 700k subscribers. We need to get you to at least 2 mil! Can’t wait to hear more stories, brother!
From your ears. I hope to get 10 million someday.
Larry Lawton I definitely think it’ll happen!

Thanks
Wow, this channel has blown up. Have been watching since 300k subs. Well done Larry, as always.. great stories
I didn't know that if your young and have a sentence over 5 years you're going to a maximum security. I cant believe that if your 20 and get caught with a gram of shroom your put away for 25 years in a prison like that.
Yep
I almost went to prison for residue on a scale. They tried to hit me up for possession of a controlled substance.
Why in God's name would you think there is any fairness or decency in the prison system ?????
My pops is in prison and I haven’t been able to see him in months due to the virus. You remind me of him though and some of the stories you tell makes me worry about him even more than I already do lol you also give me hope that someday I’ll get to see him again. Much respect and love to you Larry. Stay safe and keep the videos coming! Thank you!
I know Larry won’t see this, but nothing’s better than waking up and watching him with a cup of tea
I saw it and thanks for that. I also have my coffee watching RUclips.
Just started listening today. Some very interesting stories. Could you do a episode review on prison break?
He’s just a good guy now teaching people how to prevent getting robbed
I bet when you were locked down you never thought doing videos on the internet was in your future. Love the series Larry looking forward to getting the book
So if you have sneakers and you wear them at anytime because you feel confier in them instead of the flipflops, does that make you a target or do inmates avoid you all the time?
I live really close to usp Atlanta and you can just tell it’s bad there
GET LARRY TO 1 MILLION!
@Jim Bianco no need, we we did it
Hey Larry, love listening to your stories especially on your heist and how you where caught, told my brother and sister they where in awe
I 100% agree with you that private prisons should never have existed nor should they exist now. Its sick.
This man is doing some great videos at the moment. Would love to see him react to Porridge which is a UK comedy set in a 70's prison. It's amazing.
This channel was exactly what I didn’t know that I wanted 😂 Great content, Larry!
