    Hi Tim,
    Thank you ! Your video was very informative. Great that you took the time to give aspiring TEFL teachers a good insight into doing this as a way to make a living from home. The pandemic took a toll on many of our professions and this is certainly a great insight for people like me looking at reinventing what we do or those of us who are starting out new . 👌

    You're right about teaching online not feeling like a job. It feels more like a hobby that you get paid for. Especially since there is no set schedule or boss.
    Spot on advice 👌

    I am a 70 year old New Zealand male, born in the Uk and lived there until I was 17 years old and then came to Australia and then to New Zealand for a Holiday and stayed for 35 years ! I have taught in many countries, Japan, Indonesia, UK, Russiaand Moldova, New Zealand and of course Australia. I speak with clear diction, and i would like to think that I have a good, information, educational and humerous style of teaching. I live in the Philippines and recently we have the option of Starlink which will give us a fast, reliable internet, something that has been lacking here for a long time . I am looking at a position to teach online, preferably to teenagers and Business people who could you suggest ?

    Hi, Dude-
    Your video is very informative. It's obvious that you enjoy teaching English to kids.
    On the other hand, many years ago, I taught adults who were labor union members. It was more about leading a discussion group than actually teaching a subject. I did it for 6 or 7 years. I've been thinking of teaching ESL but more for adults than kids. Any suggestions?

      Hi, happy to help even though you bashed me on a previous video... If you would like to teach adults, I suggest Cambly Tutors or Engoo (engoo pays a bit more), but cambly is very easy entry but only $10.20 / 60 minutes. I did a video recently about both of them.

    Tim-I went back and ordered the course. My apologies but that outfit that you use makes it really difficult to see the real price. You are such an honest and sincere person. There must be a less confusing process to order the course. Sorry for that outburst from me.

    • @onlineteacherdude1284
      @onlineteacherdude1284  3 года назад

      It's not my course - it's a course from International Open Academy - I just recommend them because they are THE cheapest and easiest to get for online companies based in China. I have nothing to do with their website and upselling or whatever they do. I am sorry it was confusing for you but please email them about this if you found it complicated. What was the actual price you paid? I was told my referrals for the course would still get it for 19....it might be a few dollars more now but I am in talks with them to clear this up. Thanks again for your support :) I am definitely honest and sincere and if something isn't right then it needs to be fixed!

      They are both inundated with applications right now. Keep checking. I am having people get a GGK interview but it takes time and you need to check often. For VIPKid my big tips are to add lots of certifications, open more slots and make sure you turn all those slots into short notice.

    When companies FAIL most applicants on the first try during a MOCK class, well...I just don't like those odds. I am interested in trying VIPKID...but I recall their site also admitting that many don't pass 1st try. Seriously, this wasted time with no pay just takes a toll. They need to lose this pretentious air (all companies that operate in this super-picky way)>

I offer a ton of help to get you in. The Mock is redoable until you pass so you can't really fail.
