    Lebron honored his contract in Cleveland despite the team not wanting to build around him, he left to the 10th seed Heat and won 2 rings, he then rejoined the Cavs that was a tanking team for 4 straight years and broke the curse to win a ring, then he joined the Lakers that was a joke of the league for a decade of not making playoff and tanking an won a ring so far.
    KD joined a 72-10 team that beat him and won a ring already and now demanding a trade to either Miami or Phoenix who were both number 1 seed in the conference last season....

    He should leave because it’s a toxic environment? He made it toxic! He demanded power and didn’t know how to use it, he demanded they trade a great player for his friend, he demanded they trade every draft pick for the next 5 years for his other friend Harden, he demanded they trade Harden for Simmons and the one time the team pushes back and doesn’t give him what he wants (a max deal for Kyrie) he wants out. You can’t blame the Nets for the situation when the one time they didn’t bow to Durant’s insane whims he demands a trade! If they held their ground earlier this would have happened earlier!

    1:39 but the Nets organization isn't the toxic party here. KD had a toxic influence on the Warriors culture when he left. Aside from that, it was Kyrie who refused to play, Kyrie's behavior that encouraged Harden to leave, and Kyrie now who is choosing to leave because he's behavior wasn't tolerated by the organization. It was Kevin who brought Kyrie and tolerated Kyrie's behavior. The nets have given KD everything he wanted. And Kevin still has a decent squad. Rather than give the organization a chance to re-up for next season, he tucks tail and leaves.
    Edit: and about blaming the franchises for giving players this kind of power and influence... There's some truth to that but that's the state of the association right now. A product of the early 2010's bargaining agreement. The decisions and consequences of old regimes currents one are now inherenting. Like what else could the Nets have done and what does that have to do with KD's inability to be content and happy on ANY team. Plus Windy is right, the man signed a 4 years contract with no option despite everything. These were all decisions HE made, not Nets. There's no defending KD at this point. 💯

    1:40 It's funny she should use that term "toxic" because when those two first signed to Brooklyn, that's how I labeled them, "The Toxic Twins". This was based upon Kyrie's flat-earth, conspiracy spouting BS and KD's 10+ burner accounts just to retweet his own soc-media posts to boost his 'likes' and ego. Looking at the personalities which do things like that, you KNEW this was going to implode sooner rather than later.
    1: Basketball talent doesn't make you a leader. Kawhi, KD and Kyrie are all perfect examples of AMAZING players whose personalities simply don't allow for leadership talents... and that's OK. The media has led us to believe that the most talented players should be the front man, the leader of the team but that's just not the case.
    2: The best teams have great coaches. KD and Kyrie believed they didn't need a coach, they thought they had enough talent and experience to work it out on the fly like they're playing rec-league.
    3: The front office can't just capitulate to 1-2 players and sacrifice the overall team. You see the results of this in LA and Brooklyn, at least LA got a banner out of it but their entire roster is older than my dead father's jokes.

    I don't blame Kevin Durant at all requesting a trade. KD was doing as much as he could for the Brooklyn Nets under the circumstances. I think Ben Simmons deciding not to play the elimination game against the Celtics when the team needed him the most made KD look at the big picture. I wouldn't want to play with another fellow superstar when he picks and chooses when he wants to play. I hope KD lands somewhere good.

    Why are they acting like KD isn’t a problem himself? He has no leadership. Completely bereft of any capacity to face adversity. Runs when at the slightest sign of difficulty. Never built a successful winning culture. KD always wants the perfect environment to just show up and hoop successfully but also wants credit for the environment. Yet he never wants to do the actual work of making his environment conducive to him being successful. If you just want to hoop, don’t leave Golden State. If you want credit for a winning culture, lead it through adversity. What do you want, KD?

Sean Marks literally told you in that interview a few weeks ago “we can’t do anything until kyrie makes his decision!!!!” That was GM speak for, we wanna trade the guy, can’t trade the guy because his future is in the balance and we can’t shop him to a team with his future in the balance. BUT once he opts in, that will allow us the leverage that we need to move him.

    KD cannot be blamed for wanting to leave. The only thing that KD can be blamed for is being a little naive in trusting that Kyrie would actually do what he promised, and that's show up. KD joined to play with Kyrie, Harden joined BK to play with KD and Kyrie. Both KD and Harden got stiffed by Kyrie And neither deserve any negative press for leaving, or asking to leave, because neither got what they signed up for.. and what they signed up for was to play with Kyrie Irving on the Brooklyn Nets

    Nets front office paid KD and gave him extension knowing that he was not available for first year duue to his achilles injury. And they took the chance on him even with a serious injury. And this is what nets got from him is trade request middle of his contract. And nets gave everything KD and Kyrie wanted including getting James Harden. Both KD and Kyrie have screwed nets big time. As a NBA fan, there should be a rule that players if they request for a trade they give them back at least 1 year of compensation which they got paid.

  • @lawrence208

    It's real simple. KD is not the superstar everybody thinks he is. A superstar is not just the best player on the team, but the leader of the team and the one who holds the rest of the team accountable. KD is the best player on the team but he is not a leader nor does he care to hold anybody accountable. If KD had the respect of his peers, RW would not have challenged him in OKC. Kyrie would not have challenged him in BKN. KD would have had enough pull to tell Kyrie what to do, "for the greater good". But he doesn't because Kyrie sees himself as equals with KD. KD has alpha skills with a beta mindset. Thats why he clashed with RW and Kyrie, both alpha mentalities with beta skills compared to KD.

    • @TheMarmar1988
      @TheMarmar1988 2 года назад

      I agree 💯. KD is a beta mentally now when he goes to Phoenix will CP3 with an alpha mentality will he step up to him and tell him what needs to be done. Or he sit back and let CP3 be the leader. If he does go to the suns.
