A little backround on the Minaskin clip from an Estonian. This was a bronze medal match in the Antalya Grands slam I think and Minaskin was fighting for a place in the Olympics at the time. He won the contest against reyes in 10 seconds and this medal pretty much solidified his place in the Olympics (he was the only estonian to qualify).

Muneta launched a couple heavy opponents in the World Judo Championship ‘07 in Brazil. It was also the beginning of Teddy Riner’s reign. Euan Burton (GBR) finished a couple opponents with dominant newaza / arm locks. Worth a look if you haven’t seen them. Cheers.

I’m not biased in my ippon selections. You guys just never produce any ippons for the videos 😂

I know you live in Japan. I'm curious, it is getting more common for men to wear T-shirts under their gi as it is getting more accepted even among the more traditional clubs. Is that the case in Japan also?

Victor Sterpu is actually suspended with a doping violation, that is why we have not seen him in a while. But his suspension ends in march 2024 so mabye he will be back soon.

How long is the suspension. I looked at his record and I thought it was weird. He competed in 2023 and had wins, so I thought a 507th rank was really strange. I guess they take points away as well
